I've decided to give this game one last chance before giving up completely so I'm starting over from scratch. Any tips to help me have an easier time for early game? I feel like I was spreading my upgrades too thin the last time I played the game.

Take a break every 5 minutes to get water and stretch your legs
I got my results from leveling fists. Hard to be caught weaponless when your fists can't break. Also helps you git gud with dodging.
Don't do it, it creates mustard gas
My plan is to make 1 or 2 weapons really strong to power through the game until I get to the last floor I left off (F30). I felt like the iron and machete are quite good, but I haven't been keeping up with the updates.
Bump for more tips. Know that I will jump on any opportunity to cheese the game cause fuck haters.
Send all your currently unavailable guys on expeditions. Not only does it net you more stuff, the reward box is 50 slots for money that you can pick up and spend immediately without fear of getting raided. Also:
>Machetes are top tier weapons for a long time
>Guns/ranged weapons aren't all that worthwhile unless you can upgrade them and have money to buy a lot
>Stick to your preferred weapon when upgrading, they have higher tiers with higher damages. Plus you can max out it's skill tree faster
>You can earn Death Metal by doing challenge runs and as login rewards. Try to save them for bosses or situations where you're carrying rare loot. I would say keeping 5 is enough, spend the rest on expanding your item box.
>Any boss expect COEN can be cheesed with Transparent Fungus
>When you hear a siren RUN
That's about all I can tell you for now. I haven't finished the game myself yet. How far are you?
I've gotten to around F30 before putting down the game a few months ago, so I'm not completely clueless. I just want to be more focused this time and try to get as high as possible.
So you're pretty much in the same situation as me then. I always feel like coming back but I've got other stuff to play.
I guess there's not much else I can tell you, besides that reward box thing.
also bouncing back between floor 9 and meta-koya is prime dosh farm all through out the game as it has potentially the shortest encounters on dev haters
Level up fists
Constantly send fighters on expeditions
Never keep more than 50k coins in your bank before you stop playing
The Machete trivializes the first 20 floors, the sword the next 10, and you can usually use whatever for the last ten
Try and keep all your upgrades on one or two sets of armor, they're all basically the same
When you hit floor 21 you're invariably going to hit a wall where the game demands you spend a few hours finding blueprints in the new zone and upgrading a weapon in order to be able to do decent damage
The game really isn't that good and honestly isn't worth playing. The art direction is great, and the experience of having it come out and then all these people were puzzling it out and wondering what's at the top was novel, but as someone with several hundred hours in it I can't really recommend it
>tfw finally deciding to man up and fight floor 23 GOTO-9
Holy shit the game is actually fun again.
Fuck yeah silver metro rank and tier 4 fighters.
I'm expecting the next boss to be just as bad, although at least now I can actually semi-safely grind black metals.
most people cant find the grind comfy
the devs have stated the westerners have a tendency to try to kill everything, but in reality all you have to do is hop from place to place running to key places and then killing everything that followed you
The durability shit and all the waiting ruins it a lot for me, this game is probably better if it was on portable.
People are still playing this?
Brings me back to the good times on /vg/ where people were pooling information together when no one knew shit about the game. Also the reddit mod stealing the item chart some user made, what a shit show that was.
mfw playstation remote play on psvita
It was a comfy general. Shame it's dead.
>Play the game when it first came out (Got to about level 36)
>Enjoyed it but had enough
>Come back recently and get a shit load of free stuff, like hundreds of dollars worth
>Still no desire to go back
At least I got some fun out of it.
Im intrigued, tell me the story of the reddit thief
I played for a while as a shitter until I got to about F28
Game was really fun until I lost my Gold Pass and then the grind became really apparent that's very one sided towards Express Pass players
IDK, it's kinda worth 15 buckaroos until you payout about full-price game tier of money
But what do I know, I only got to barely 700-800 Bronze TDM before I just couldn't get away with good raiding anymore and just getting my shit pushed in by Silvers and better players
>let it die reddit mod saves item chart, listing the spawn point of every material on every single floor, even including stamp locations and other information
>puts it on reddit, pins it and calls the thread "Mr. Fuzzy's Item Chart"
>autists flood to reddit, calling him a thief
>he removes the thread, claiming he never took credit for it though he obviously was
>next time chart user made a new chart, he had a giant "FUCK REDDIT" superimposed into the background
Good times, chart user was a chill motherfucker, who despite his popularity remained anonymous. Didn't even namefag.
I enjoyed it for a while until I got to floor 16 or something. Things started pretty much 3 shotting me and it was apparent that I would have to grind for days to get new blueprints for better armor and weapons. The game is pure fun until you realize you're pretty much running the same fucking corridors and killing the same enemies over and over again just to get some shitty rare material or a new blueprint. I want to go back to it but honestly I can't see how when I have better games to play.
>no one checks all the changes they've made
they've been pretty much updating once a month too and 3 times a week, you can pretty much buy any mat per hour 100% guaranteed
>>next time chart user made a new chart, he had a giant "FUCK REDDIT" superimposed into the background
I don't believe I ever saw that one. care to post it?
Sorry lad, that was more than a year ago, and I never saved it. It was near the tail-end of the general's life, so it shouldn't be too hard to find in the archive.
>Sorry lad, that was more than a year ago
Let it Die was released in December of 2016
Times flies huh? That reminds me, it was late January when the general started dying, and they said they were releasing more floors in February. Well, nothing happened February, so that's when I moved on from the game. No idea if they ever did add anything else.
they added new floors, but it was mostly 100% haters with full meta gear at +4 for even higher tier mats
Ah, for the mats that only had a 1% drop rate in floors 36-40? The ones you needed to make the Jackal gear?
and even higher, but those only appear in rooms that will make you go down
also to even be allowed in those rooms there is an item limit, 5 for non premium and 7 for
