So basically the overall consensus is
>it's a great fighting game that looks like ass.
What a strange world we live in.
>tfw capcom
Time will tell if it ends up being the opposite of what SFV is
As a FG, gotta let the gameplay evolve and see how deep it gets
Everything else is ass
Anyone else can wait for Capcom to go bankrupt and just liquidate their assets?
So if Capcom takes what worked from each game, the next one they make will succeed both in a sex appeal and a mechanical way?
Agree about the art style, but whatever the game looks fun at least.
Fuck buying this right now though.
90 for a complete game(and probably 120 by next year) is pants on head crazy.
Any idea how long it usually takes to crack Denuvo, can't wait to pirate this baby.
...
>this fighting game is shit because i don't like how it looks and the story is bland
I never thought I'd live to see the day when a genre that is quite literally entirely game play is judged for everything but
Christ Ryu
>sfv looks amazing
>gameplay shit
>literally no content
HIGHER SCORE LMAO, you can't make this shit up
This is the real deal right here. The problem with an obviously rushed game is that it's very likely that the metagame will be terrible due to oversights, rushed mechanics, and stuff just not being totally thought through.
Luckily, the game will get more than one fucking update probably, so we won't have to deal with a shitty MvC for 6 years. I'm still not buying the game due to the DLC shit and the terrible roster though.
They should've just made it 2d if they can't handle making a 3d game.
lmao
This is what happens when you let westerners make something the japanese should be doing instead.
Fightan is dead.
This game is another SFV, gonna have some players at launch and decline quickly afterwards. DBF won't be popular because it's an anime fighter, let's be real.
>b-but gameplay
EVEN THE GAMEPLAY IS FUCKING SHIT, CRAPCOMBRONY
fighting games have generally been the best looking games during their generation. to have one look like shit implies that there wasn't much time spent on it.
>Marvel vs Capcom Infinite's fights are brilliant
Pre-ordered!
That isn't what IGN said.
reminds me of how badly animated the old 90's SF/Darkstalkers cartoon was.
>b-but the gameplay is good!
You poor, poor fools. Let me tell you about REALITY STONE.
...
lmao
Have more respect for Capcom. Ghey may be shit now but the genre wouldn't exist without them.
Games have gotten deeper these days and people have to pay $60 USD for them now. Sorry, but companies can't get away with releasing a glorified MUGEN shell anymore. You have to add features to a fighting game, and that usually means a story mode, unlockables, etc.
If it's just going to be a shell of older MVC titles, then they'd have to charge less for the game.
i dont give a fuck about story, but honestly what the fuck were they thinking with this art style?
But the price increase in games is a result of inflation. Adjusted correctly, games are cheaper now on average than they were 20-30 years ago.
Some of you guys are alright. Don't go to the Dark Kingdom Nightclub tomorrow.

SFV maintained the same ~1500 concurrent players on steam through the entire year following the launch by constantly updating the game with new content, fixes and characters, the game is as alive as it was 1 year ago.
Theres anime fighters and there is DBZ fighters
It's not like it matters. No matter how good or bad MvCI is, it will end up being the 2nd biggest fighting game next to SFV. It will get the most views whenever a tournament is being streamed. It will get the second most entrants. It will get HUGE amounts of publicity and revenue from normies and stream monsters. People will constantly insult it, but still sit around like fucking drones following all the shitty drama attached to its competitive scene. This is how every fucking Capcom fighting game is. No matter how shitty people think it is, they still each the shit right up and do it while insulting the taste.
How does Capcom do it?
They even plan to release fucking Black Widow. How do they manage to fuck up completely?
>Grape juice
No way.
>All the coolest characters are the spooks
What did Capcom mean by this?
Capcom forgot how to game.
>roster is 90% straight from MvC3 with a few moves tweaked and like one new move each
>not even the popular characters from MvC3, why the fuck did they put shit like Nemesis in
>no X-Men / F4 characters at all so no series trademarks like Magneto or Doom
>the fucking clincher is that only *5* CHARACTERS out of the 30 are new because they were holding out on all the new shit to be sold as DLC
yeah nah
It really seems like they threw this game together in like a year or two.

Yes
it looks bad, it sounds bad and the story is bad
but the gameplay is still amazing which is not enough to guarantee a good score
There was an interview that mentioned work on the game started in late 2015, so that is true.
This and some other bad moments like pic related aside, I actually enjoyed the story mode, it was dumb in a endearing way. The worst parts were certainly the ones shown in the demo and how they refused to use Dormammu, though the way they used Jedah and Dante helped balanced things out in my opinion.
>that morrigan theme remix
I really wish Capcom would fire all of its modern composers. This shit sounds like an amateur mix you would hear late at night on a dance station.
I'll wait till it's like $20 and they've announced Gene.
the characters are the least of this game's problems tho
This is a mobile game, right?
Post an actual shot from the real game
>b-but the gameplay
Why are people just assuming that Infinite won't be busted as fuck just like the rest of the vs series?
>People's phones are able to run much more complex games than the consoles I grew up with
What the fuck even is my life?
I really wanna know how long they had to work on this game.
I like all those themes I posted though, besides Dante's. Most of the Marvel side themes are shit in a movie score kind of way, the only good ones are Ghost Rider's, Hawkeye's and Spiderman's (only because it reminds me of the Raimi era songs), but the Capcom character ones are fine by me.
It's like i'm really on 2007 era Youtube!
LOL GO UP TO ELEVEN MARLEL
Everyones aware but that's why everyone likes Marvel
You don't think everyone dealt with Doom in UMVC3 and 4 Gods in MVC2 because there was nothing else to play did you?
>Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite Could Do Without Story Mode - Kotaku
For you Rocket, ANYTHING. ;)
>Why are people just assuming that Infinite won't be busted as fuck just like the rest of the vs series?
Why do people say Guilty Gear is good when every game seems to have broken as fuck Unga Bunga characters with unblockables and OHKs?
Let's save people from clicking
>Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite arrives this week, bringing a revamped two-character tag-team battle system and cinematic storytelling to the long-running crossover series. The fighting is a blast. The storytelling could use some work.
>Since X-Men Vs. Street Fighter back in 1996, Capcom’s been pitting heroes and villains from Marvel Comics with its own character creations without worrying to much about the whys and hows. The focus was purely on the ride they were taking us for. We don’t need to know why these 36 characters (including DLC characters Black Panther, Sigma and the newly-confirmed Venom, Monster Hunter, Black Widow and Winter Soldier) are filling our screens with flashy special moves and aerial combos. It’s just nice that they are.
>But Capcom tried anyway. Our first taste of the plot, which involves Marvel’s Ultron and Mega Man X villain Sigma joining forces to merge dimensions and wipe out biological life, was during the story demo released back in June. I said it felt like awkward fan fiction. Now I’ve played through the entire two hours and change worth of narrative, and that feeling only got stronger.
busted as fuck is good when it's the right sort of busted as fuck.
this game is the wrong sort of busted as fuck tho. every combo does the same damage and builds the same amount of meter, no matter which character(s) you use and throws are turbo butt in this game so mixup is shit
Jedah and Firebrand's themes are cool, Dante's is...weird at the start and I never really liked Morrigan's theme, it is kinda irredeemable no matter how you remix it.
>I never thought I'd live to see the day when a genre that is quite literally entirely game play is judged for everything but
Have you never heard of smash? Those games a free pass solely on the roster and nothing else.
because it's balance not broken
>Those who hoped the familiarity that saw Dante from Devil May Cry tossing Rocket Raccoon his pistols in the demo would be explained in some earlier moment in the story will be disappointed. The story picks up directly after the events in the demo, so we never get to see how the Marvel and Capcom characters react to suddenly winding up in a combined universe.
>It all feels so sloppy. The two realities (if there was a reality where all Capcom games coexist) have merged, forming a world combining conceits from both. The Umbrella Corporation from Resident Evil and Marvel’s evil science company, Advanced Idea Mechanics, are now a single entity called A.I.M.BRELLA.
>What’s odd is that while the conjunction has made it so all of the characters from both universes are familiar with one another, they are at the same time aware that they come from two different places. It’s stupid and makes my head hurt, all the way to the end. And when the coolest battle in story mode is between two characters from Capcom franchises, I can’t help but feel that maybe the point of Marvel Vs. Capcom was lost along the way.
>Not helping the story at all is the quality of the voice acting. Capcom has assembled some amazing voice talent here, and they do their best with what they’ve been given, but some of the delivery suggests they could have done with more context. Lip sync is hit or miss, especially during intro animations.
>And the sound quality is just . . . off. In the video below you can hear voice samples from the game’s gallery. There’s a distortion to them them that’s been driving me bonkers.
doesn't it have the gem system from SFxT as well? what a shitshow
>It's real
Never thought I'd see the day that casuals would ask for less cinematics
>people bought this shit
The irony being that this game was developed in-house by former MvC1 developers.
>MUH ROSTER
>MUH MUSIC
>MUH GRAFIX
Notice how the complaints are never about gameplay (which is good)? The whiners are all scrubs who would only play this game for a week even if the things they complained about were good from the start and then move on to the next Cawwadoody or Madden.
And people who say 'HURRR BUT THE GAMEPLAY IS ALSO SHIT. IT'S 2v2 AND NO MUH ASSIST" also don't know shit about fighting games.
Don't worry guys. You can just come play some Under Night In-birth
>Stark, pensa rapido boludo.
as for the rest

>Pokken port scored higher
JUUUUSSSTTTTUUUU
Not even close
>the coolest battle in story mode is between two characters from Capcom franchises
Isn't that just a rehash of one from Project X Zone anyway?
BUT IN THE END
>Sorry, but
Why should I be sorry that you're a fucking casual?
No it doesn't, there are six gems to choose from, all of which are broken and give your characters an extra ability and a super powerful ability that can be activated after you fill a "revenge meter", they act as a "third characters" of sorts, there is no DLC and P2W shit involved.
Please do research before spouting opinions thanks
>draw a character
>somehow make her look worse than ingame model Morrigan
>content doesn't matter
see
and fuck off
No one cares about your game. Go away.
Right is more accurate to the design though.they judt needed a little more to not make it look like plastic
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
PEOPLE ACTUALLY FELL FOR THE PROMOTIONAL IMAGE MEME
t. Scrub who doesn't know shit about gameplay.
Git gud.
Venom is the only good character on the Marvel side for DLC
no, totally different gem system
hell the gems are probably the best part of the gameplay, that and the tags. but the loss of assists, the loss of the third character, the nerfing of throws and the fact that everything you do leads to the same results means the game is poop.
it's going to take a bit for most people to realize it tho. And the capcom noodle lickers are going to stick by it no matter what cause of brand loyalty
The casual here would be you for not seeing the problems with the game
>Games have gotten deeper
Games have gotten shallower. Everything is fluff instead of really well thought out mechanics, level designs, and combat systems.
>the infinity easter eggs
Are you for fucking real
How is this allowed??
>overwhelming mechanics
Never trust a gaming journalist to review a fighting game.
Chunner runs like the fat chick in sports class everyone knew from school.
>overwhelming mechanics
He should have just put "I'm shit at the game" there instead
>That Dante remix
Where they planning to put Donte in it? it would explain why dante looks like shit.
