Looks like Metroid is back on the menu boys. What do you want out of Metroid 5?

I want Mercury Steam to design the suits

>inb4 implying UK matters

Why are all the games above Metroid shit? I can never understand normies.

Dying handheld with a huge installed customer base that is. Stop trying to downplay that 3DS hardware sales don't matter because some guy said 3DS customers are not active enough

You don't think it's impressive for a game on 6 year old hardware to debut in top 10, especially when as far as the public is concerned the hardware is done?

Who the fuck keeps buying GTA 5

Children who receive their first console

Kill them

I want the light suit in a 2d metroid. I want to ride beams of like jumping across a room via mirrors.

>UK
>normies

I want proper graphics to show the suits how they should be, they are gorgeous but in game look like shit. 3DS can't die soon enough.

What other 3D upgrades would be good in a 2D Metroid? And vice versa

I want to fight Bird Hitler on top of a dying Chozo warship as it careens through reentry.

UK gamers are notoriously the most normie

When i saw the new design, i saw this

Ok guys, tell me why you rate zero mission always so high? I'm not bitching and i'm ok with it but i'm genuinely asking.

For me super is always the best, but my first priority loving these games is not the sequence braking and advanced techniques. First thing for me is the sense of isolation, the immersion to explore the planet on your own. What i hate in zero and fusion is that they brake the gameplay continuously to block your path and show you a marker on map to show where you should go. Samus returns does not do this. You must explore the zones on your own. You don't have to step on the dna gate to ask for markers, and only things that stop the game are short cutscenes without dialogue. It is just you and the game and the planet in the game.

Now i do like both zero and fusion but for different reasons. fusion is worst at the things i mentioned but it has very fluid gamelay and very unique atmosphere. Also it really built a big chunk of story.

for me
super > SR = Echoes > Prime > AM2R > M1 > Fusion > Zero > M2 > Corruption > Other M

i'm not kidding with this, this is why i'm perplexed with your lists.

Light suit is better

Super > Prime > Zero Mission > Prime 2 = Fusion > SR > Prime 3 > Other M > M = M2

Metroid and metroid 2 aren't bad for their time, but them being so outdated puts Other M ahead of them for me

I like Zero Mission because it's the perfect first metroid

I can't speak on behalf of everyone but Zero Mission is in my top three for the sheer variety and how it encourages speedruns and challenge runs with multiple endings. It's the most replayable in the series as a result.

>they brake the gameplay continuously to block your path and show you a marker on map to show where you should go.

There's only like two Chozo statues in ZM that you absolutely have to use. The rest can be ignored.
