Is there a point to level the speech skill past 100 in fallout 2?

it's generally not worth it to put non-combat skills about 100%. a good portion of them even actually max out around 90% (like steal)

Combat skills max out around 130% in terms of accuracy, though.

>non-combat skills about 100%
I mean above

Not OP, but that's good to know. Didn't get the point in putting any skill past 100%, or 80% in the case of lock pick (muh lockpicks)

Fallout 2 also has a level cap of 99, so you could conceivably put points wherever you want, anyway.

Better question, is there any real reason to tag Unarmed? You get so much training it's like what's the point.

You can if you really want. I feel like it's not that worth it to tag unarmed, for the reason you mentioned, but also that there's level reqs to the special moves.

So even if you max out unarmed at level 2, you'll still be waiting a long fucking time until level 12 where you can use all the special moves.

I mean I guess tagging Unarmed is still worth it, but just not at the start. Might as well get all the training, then use the Tag! perk to tag unarmed. Maybe I'm just an autistic min-maxer cunt.

Yeah, it's slow. And damage is piddly until you get the power fist (though that doesn't take THAT long. You can get one in Broken Hills and probably Navarro)

Melee is fun for early game. Going HAM with the sledgehammer on geckos and raiders.

>And damage is piddly until you get the power fist
It ain't that bad, the unarmed skills are fairly strong and have high crit rates. I mean it's nothing to a Mega Power Fist but still not terribly weak.
