Good news: they didn't cancel it
Bad news: delayed
Anyway I'm not so sad because at this point I actually thought they would cancel it. Thankfully they did not

A delay is also good news. You don't want something done shittily.
>A delay is also good news.
No amount of delays in the world was going to save that game.
Mighty No.9 is better than some western AAAs to be honest even though I hated both the PC and PS4 versions I got for 11 dollars.

Why is Xseed the best localization company? it's run by some autistic nerds in a basement somewhere in California and they make a better job than everyone else
>action RPG
fug
...
>I love mindless combat
good for you? Would you like a participation medal?
...
Could you imagine how much worse it would have been without a delay?
...
Uh, haven't you heard? NISA delayed the new Ys on PC, so delays mean the company is full of incompetent Nazis.
What made you think they'd cancel it?
XSeed has been pushing this game since the announcement. They're not good at advertising but they did give this game more exposure than they did Ys VII even
Action RPGs are not mindless. They're typically heavily revolved around learning enemy attack patterns and how to manipulate your character around them, sometimes learning gimmicks and good counters depending upon the abilities allotted you
>but they did give this game more exposure than they did Ys VII even
Both games are unknown to 99,97% of gaming audience
that's why they are good and let's keep this way.
*appears behind you, grabs your face and smashes you into the ground* Think you're fucking funny brah? Think you're hot shit eh?! Ya fuckin poof!! I'll fuckin feed ya cunt, you're fuckin sad mate!! Is this "action" enough for you?! Take a fucking swing brah, we can go right here! Fucking the yahtzes brah!!!!!!
Exposure has nothing to do with game quality
Everytime a series gets popular it turns shit
Dark Souls, Max Payne, Mafia, etc.
If the game has steam port then it's twice shit
>says Ys and Zwei are good because it isn't popular and that games put on Steam are made worse
>almost every Ys game is on Steam and Zwei also will be
???
And Ys VIII is probably the most popular Ys yet. Yet the general consensus seems to be that it is better than VII was
>this guy's GOTY is Duke Nukem: Forever
Zwei being unknown is good. Popular games get ironic weeb fan base, nude mods degeneracy and all that steam community crap that eventually destroy the game's reputation
>my enjoyment of a game depends is directly linked to the fanbase
that's almost sad
No but it helps to maintain a good memory. If you keep seeing retards making nude mods and posting devianart port it destroys your good memories
Pretty sure that's only you dude, also even using steam and checking games like skyrim and fallout (they are shit, no good memories there, picking them as example for the popular mod community) I'm somehow not bombarded with a bunch of nude mods, so I don't know what the fuck you are doing
Well PC, no matter how much people on Sup Forums try to spin it, is not a major or important platform in the slightest. It's the main reason why it often gets the short end of the stick with delayed PC versions, broken ports, or simply not getting games at all. They would never fucking DARE delay the PS4 version while the PC version was released, the PS4 version is the one they depend on making the money from.
Pretty sure the reason the PS4 version never got a delay is because it was already a finished product and only needed a translation. Not because of priority of importance.
Ys VIII was not made PC first unlike most previous Falcom titles, so NISA had to port it, which is more work than just translating the PS4 version. Its also not NIS's code, so they were working with something they had never seen before.
>A delay is also good news.
this game's art style reminds me of another game that was fan translated. I think it was for the psp.
I was planning on playing it but I completely forgotten about it until now
does anyone have an idea of what game Im thinking of?
I was just giving a hypothetical scenario where the PS4 and PC versions were both ports of, say, the Vita version (as is the case for nearly all Japanese PC games and a large number Jap PS4 games). But there's very clearly a priority when it comes to platforms, you'd have to be delusional to think there's any other reason other than profitability for the PS4 to "win" all the time.
Zwei 1?
PS4 is a single fixed hardware configuration which makes it far easier to work with and more forgiving of bad programming practices.
No, Zwei 1 character models look nothing like the game Im trying to remember
...
What is this game? I don't know anything about it but the artstyle looks cute.
The title is right there in the OP
yup thats it
thanks
Well I meant that someone should tell me about it. I know I could just look it up but I kind of wanted to drum up discussion/get an anons thought.
