INTERIOR CROCODILE ALLIGATOR

Veto this shit you assholes

>votes to skip

Stupid fucking snowbound

What a shitty little map.

>STUPID FUCKING SNOWBOUND

I miss snowbound so much now.. I wish I knew back then

Holy shit you brought up so much nostalgia, I miss Halo 3, and fucking Arby n Cheif.

BLUE SKITTLE

What's your problem?

>DON'T veto this shit you assholes

Isolation.

>shitty green lockout
No thanks.

>Its a someone throwing a Power Drain up the lift episode

So every episode?

>that cheeky fucker who stands just inside the barrier and sticks you with a plasma grenade the moment your foot crosses it

This map taught me how to navigate while walking backwards.

Only if its BR starts, otherwise veto.

Underrated map

Who else camped on top of the trees where noone could see you? In all my time playing I never met a single other person who did that.

I remember abusing out of bounds on this map so much before they patched it

>(x) veto

>that one kid with a mic losing his absolute shit because it needs one more veto
>'FUCKING VETO YOU IDIOT'
>wait till the last second to veto

VETO VETO VETO VETO VETO

In retrospect the DLC maps were so bad. Avalanche and Ghost Town especially

Avalanche was great for CTF/Bomb. I remember Orbital being garbage for slayer.

Press X to Veto

...

>Ghost Town
I can't name any time that map was purposefully chosen. It was just a forgettable hallway arena.

Just grab the ghost and get the mvp. Love Isolation.

best map in the game, one of the best in the series

This was the best map. no contest

actually kill yourself, avalanche is one of the best BTB maps in halo history

Why isn't the map veto feature in every game?

Sandbox was the best map. You could do so much in forge with it.

IN FEAR EVERY DAY EVERY EVENING

This might be my favorite map though thats probably helped by the fact I never got to play it as much as I'd like. I thought the flood part down below was cool too.

>he never had an hour long CTF match on Avalanche with constant tension as both sides duke it out furiously until just barely winning with a final capture at the absolute last second as the entire enemy team bares down upon you

You really missed out, some of the best multiplayer matches of any game I've ever played were on that map.

was the battle rifle broken, or was i just a god at this game?

It's pretty much agreed the BR was the best weapon in the game by a notable margin, although it was better in Halo 2.

nah its the best gun in the game

The starting weapon from h2/h3 is just so shitty outside of close range having a battle rifle gives you a massive advantage.

"Get out of the fucking tank noob!"
>le me:
"No."

Is this real life?

The Battle Rifle has completely dominated Halo's weapon sandbox since Halo 2

>The Guardians in this level are the same ones in Destiny
>mfw this map is the homeworld of The Traveller and The Guardians are there to stop the combatants from leaving the arena and potentially finding it and exploiting it

I liked it.

So the Guardians in Destiny were originally stationary turrets? Interesting.

I liked this map

home

>mfw I learned a bunch of HLG shit to fuck with people
>mfw glitching out the entire game by driving the elephant up onto the wraiths on Sandtrap until the enemy team all quits out and I win
>mfw getting the sniper first every time on Valhalla and then unloading it into the ground in front of all the other shitter 12 year olds who wanted it

>dude if you shoot it enough you can kill the monitor

Fuck you Ryan, you're full of shit.

>literally no one ever used the elephants in competitive and it was mostly used in custom games

Such a cool vehicle but complete bullshit.

It's kind of funny because if you actually get yur hole team in it in BT or Squad Battle it legit gives you an advantage if you also have one guy roving in the Chopper to specifically target anyone who's shooting at the guy on the turret and the rest inside makes sure the driver and turret guy don't get snuck up on.

>He doesn't know how to wall hop onto the second floor near the lift on Guardian, so he goes up the lift every time and gets his head blown off

>He never got a 50 in MLG, he only has a 50 in Team Doubles

>He wasn't on TheHaloForums back when it was in its prime

>He never made a Halo montage

>He paid a Semi Pro for lessons

Make way, best Halo machinima coming through
youtube.com/watch?v=hRjWnIQlJlg

>races directly towards energy sword

that's not one life remaining

But youre wrong though.

this is

Ghost Town was the best map for the predator custom gamemode, and its many variants. Lots of vertical and hiding places, and pretty scenery to boot.

Our favorite version of the game gave the predator invisibility, a sword, and superhuman jumping, and gave the humans very short-range radar (like 10m). Leaping over a group of humans just to screw with their radar and scare them was fun as fuck.

And before that, it was dominated by the pistol, which performed basically the same function as the BR.

I've always wanted to see a Halo game where the automatics were situationally worthwhile. Especially the plasma rifle/pistol, I feel like they never got the respect they deserved except as part of a noob combo.

This guy gets it. Guardian was fucking terrible if it was AR start.

this and the Pit are my all time favorites
Map control was so important and hinged solely on communication and the competence of your team

Fuck, Halo 3 threads make me depressed. None of the people I played with back then even acknowledge or hang out with each other anymore.

>le
Back to your r*ddit shithole you fucking faggot nigger.

>People on Sup Forums are now nostalgic about Halo 3.
Oh boy, I can't wait for another 5-10 years till people are nostalgic about Overwatch while shitting on the newest latest FPS calling it casual.

top tier

>he wasn't on Sup Forums 10 years ago when there were nightly Halo threads

Is Halo 5 worth playing? Thinking about buying a cheap used Xbox One to play it.

That sounds fucking hilarious. All I ever got was people eating loudly, mom jokes and screaming children. When you did manage to find cool people on Halo 3 though it was a blast. I miss Halo 3.

>that kid when you were playing 4 player co-op
>ready to start
>5
>4
>3
>2
>1
>Screen slowly fades to black
>Presses X and cancels it
>everyone else is like DUDE COME ON

>that kid was me

Shooters that released the same year as Halo 3:
>S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
>TF2
>Crysis
>Unreal Tournament 3
>Bioshock
>COD 4
>Half-Life 2 Episode 2

Arby 'n' the Chief is objectively was the best Halo Machinima ever made. It's the only one that kept going and actually improved massively as the series progressed. Amazing writing in seasons 4-7.

Why do people so vehemently hate snowbound?
I remember it not being the best map, but it wasn't that bad.

One of the greatest Halo 2 montages coming through: youtube.com/watch?v=VVrBaIdHDxQ

Been using Sup Forums since it opened.
It's only been recent years since Halo has lost the stigma attached to it due to the perpetual waves of children flocking in.

Mostly just a meme, its an alright map but gets boring very fast as all the action is ALWAYS in that tunnel room underground with the shielded entrance.

Every game on Sup Forums apparently has a stigma attached to it. There's always someone that hates a game no matter how great others think it was.

>you can shoot the bird creatures that fly around the distance
had a sniping competition held there once, most birds sniped in a row won

the best part was pushing the explosives at the base of the elevator and throwing a grenade after it for an instant anti-camper tool up top

I did.

Hello

The single best Halo map out of all the games is Zanzibar. Nothing else comes close.

That is all.

>Get one kill
>Bug our team inside the wall

And now it's back, here's to wondering what sort of plot Jon has ready when he's done giving his opinions on current happenings with the latest episode

youtu.be/Sti_-wD4SrI

And at the time of release, Sup Forums only objectively disliked CoD 4 and that was after it blew up and became the juggernaut it was due to the initial respect for infinity ward after CoD 2.

No-one talked about UT3 and every other game on that list was respected at the time and still is done so today (with perhaps the exception of Hat fortress 2)

Sup Forums always shat on Halo, however.

>not blood gulch
kys

You could do it on Last Resort aka Zanzibar as well

Okay everyone's done thier favorite map, but what is everyone's absolute most hated map?

I nominate this piece of shit

...

How about NObound

>Guy leaves mic next to speaker
>Full volume gun noises ring through everyone's head set every time he shoots.
>Give up and leave my own headset next to my speaker
>Everyone starts doing it
>Gun noises still ringing through the lobby mics a minute after the match was finished.

Good times

Halo threads were always possible after midnight, but you are right, time's been kind to it on this board

I mean the the Arbiter has always been partly the voice of Jon. I did think the latest episode was a but heavy with opinion, but the reason made sense. Arbiter was catching up on recent events within the last few years, it makes sense he'd voice at least some opinions.

...

that was bait before "bait" was ever uttered on this board

it was pretty shitty of Bungie imo to force everyone to buy the DLC if they wanted to play multiplayer. It kept the playerbase from splitting and made them mad dosh, no doubt, but if you didn't get them you were locked into like 2 playlists that were dead as fuck.

youtube.com/watch?v=7_PwZZJgKRA

Hmmm... I dunno about this. I'll admit I laughed but I kinda wonder if the era of this show has passed.
