Why do any of the male characters even exist in this game anymore? The only one that anybody even gives a shit about is Ryu.
The rest have such minuscule fan bases you could replace them all with big titted jiggle physics ara aras and a few DFC "18 year olds we swear" and sales would only improve.

The entire plot to DOA can be reduced to "A bunch of attractive women hanging out at a beach wake up some ancient evil during a volleyball game, but then Ryu Hayabusa shows up and slices it in half. Momiji proceeds to cream herself as the credits roll" because current plotline is so convoluted almost nobody gives a shit.
Especially with DOA 5's nonsensical plot that keeps sliding forward and back requiring you to piece all the scenes together like a jigsaw puzzle to get a cohesive narrative.

Ditch the men, give realistic clothing damage, let the damage be so significant that the girls can wind up completely naked.

Do literally just that for DOA6 and you have a game that matches Mortal Kombat in sales.

And if keeping the men is that important, do exactly the same thing but give the dudes indestructable underwear.
