Hi Sup Forums now I want to play some game which sets in Japan.
Yakuza 0 or Persona 5, which is better?
I'm a poorfag so I have no money to buy 2 games

It depends mostly on which genre you prefer. The persona series has better games you can emulate, so it can be a deciding factor

the one on the left, you can actually do stuff you interact with whereas the one on the right wouldn't just fade to black and tells you to go to sleep

>wouldn't
would

I would say Persona 5.
Got bored of Yakuza 0 quite quickly.

Persona 5 is literally playing Anime : The Game.

On my first play through, I clocked in like 70~ hours

Both are absolutely worth it, no matter what the contrarians here say. But it basically boils down to "Do you like anime?". Persona is more like an anime series while Yakuza is like a somewhat realistic crime drama.

buy Y0 and pirate P5 for PC

Yakuza 0 is you're an adult. Persona 5 if you're underage or a manchild

Since you are a poorfag, p5 will last you a lot longer.

Yakuza 0 first. Then get Persona 5 later on.
I enjoyed both games, but I fucking loved Y0 more. It's honestly my GOTY

I liked both a lot, but do you want a beatemup with shit tons of minigames or a great story based RPG? Both have waifu simulator, both will take you a long time to complete

Persona 5 if you're into turn-based combat and intend to emulate the rest of the series (or at the very least, 2 or 3 onward) later or afterward. I can't comment on Yakuza because I haven't played it, but it's probably a sounder choice if you dislike calendar-based "dating" sim/VN because that's pretty much what the game is outside of dungeons/the procedurally generated P3 Tartarus clone, Mementos

Focus on spending to the time improving on your economic circumstances so you can afford both.

What are you into, guy? Just saying "I want a game set in Japan" is vague as fuck.

>Later or afterward
Before or after

This, in all honesty. Stop escaping from the reality that your life is shit

Fuck

If you like brawlers play Yakuza 0
If you like RPGs play P5

>Yakuza is like a somewhat realistic crime drama.

Yakuza is 100% anime.

It's more like Slice of Life/Harem anime vs. goofy Seinen crime anime

Persona 5
Don't fall for the Yakuza meme.

Yakuza because you can actually do shit in Tokyo and is 40 hours long.

Persona is just cutscenes everything when you try walk around in nippon land and 100 hours of padding

if you really like JRPGs pick Persona
if you're not so keen on them and rather play a beat 'em up set in a small open hub world with loads of side content then pick Yakuza
I finished Yakuza 0 today and was very satisfied with it, didn't play Persona yet
