How big will the price drop be to compete with the Xbox One X™?
Playstation 4 Pro
They don't need to, it's already cheaper and has an established library of supported games.
Why compete against an upgrade of a console nobody wants anyway
DESIGNATED
I've already pre-ordered xbone x.
PS4 is for fighting games and exclusives xbone x is for everything else.
And its still cheaper than pc gaming.
It'll probably be the usual. The normal console would sell for $250, while the PS4 Pro models can't be found anywhere. The secret is they are on store shelves, but you can't see them under all of the layers of dust.
I just want the slim to go down in price. Most places still sell it new for $299 for some ungodly reason.
Meanwhile I see constant deals and bundles for the Xbox.
>$299 for some ungodly reason.
thats nice enough.
I wanted to buy one for xmas. They are at around 370€ here.
300 would be really nice.
This right here. I plan to get both, and still use PC for good measure (though there's really no PC exclusive that I'm particularly interested in)
If by "everything else" you mean Forza then yeah sure
But i already got a gaming PC. Xbox offers nothing additional to me.
I want the PS4 for the exclusives.
>xbone x is for everything else.
>And its still cheaper than pc gaming.
no it's not. I love consoles and I never thought I would be advising people to get a PC instead but MS must be punished for fucking up the Xbox so badly. It's so obvious the Xbox division has no money left.
Xbone x is just a more expensive ps4 pro with zero games
This. I plan on using my PC to "test out" games and if I like it I'll buy for the Xbox
>it's a sonybro acts as if ps4 owners don't play the same games as xgods episode
The best sellers are the same on both. This will change if pubg is a console exclusive though
If you're into 4k gaming the X is way cheaper than buying a gtx 1080
The xbone x currently seems to be slightly below a gtx 1060, and nowhere near a 1080.
The same thing happened with the ps4/xbone where people shitposted about them being equal to a 770 and they ended up getting beaten by a 750 ti
Still cheaper
One of the biggest surprises for One X to me was it's size. The PS4 Pro is basically a PS4 with another layer, and the One X looks like a One S but actually smaller. Bretty Neet
I have a legit question on the Pro, is it even worth it if I already own a PS4? I mean does it run any quicker? I have a 4KTV but nothing that I'm particularly bothered about, just if it runs better.
If you don't own a normal pc and replace it every 5 years OR play online OR buy lots of games it is, but this excludes almost everyone.
You mean the 4k yakuza/games with shit PC port machine?
None. Sony's just going to put a three game package of pro enhanced titles in (Likely HZD, UC4 and Ratchet) and sell the bundle for $400. No point in making a panicked drop and losing money over a potential threat to their ecosystem. Now if XboneX does well over Holidays and outpaces Pro for a few months. Then they might consider a drop around when God Of War arrives next year.
I upgraded from a launch ps4 to a pro. Honestly, kinda regret doing it. Cost me $200 out of pocket for not a ton of benefits. The X is alluring, but I'll go see it in person before I jump this time.
no. i know atelier firis ran better on ps4 pro but honestly not worth throwing in the dosh to run a few selected games better.
Yes.
Wasn't on the start but now absolutely
Can have the games run properly without them looking like shit (NiOh, TLG, FFXV)
It's objectively better than the vanilla console, whether it's worth it financially - up to you.
