Shoddily made RPG. Shit combat. Lotta dialogue options.
Didn't want to reply because of that redpill thing but I like AP.
It's good cause your decisions matter.
The combat gameplay was a bit whatever but that's always secondary to me in an rpg.
It's a buggy non-SciFi Mass Effect clone without companions and with gameplay so bad it makes Deadly Premonition feel like DMC3 in comparison.
It's fun, I'd say play it.
>Mass Effect clone
wot
The game is a jewish plot to destroy the white race.
The gameplay is clunky as fuck, at the start you're shit, at the end you're god, but the transition is painful and not rewarding.
The story is great just because your actions have actual consequences. By helping or damaging people you can make your life easier or harder.
And the dialogue system is nuts, it's the best game to roleplay as an actual psychopath

It's got the worst hacking minigame of all-time.
It's just a fucking term. Calm your autism.
...
It's great, just unpolished is all.
Awful game.
>It's got the worst hacking minigame of all-time.
It's actually really easy.
Fallout 3-4 has BY FAR worse hacking, especially since it happens so frequently.
mediocre gameplay
single greatest rpg in terms of consequences in the past ten years
How does the Fallout 4 one work?
Beard and sunglasses high speed low drag out of ten.
Always pick the renegade options.
It's the best "bad" game you'll ever play. It has faults, but the overall experience is great.
Played through it recently, I liked it well enough. The gameplay leaves something to be desired, and the MC's voice actor sounds constantly bored except for when he's doing the "aggressive" voice. There are a few problems with the non-lethal route (i.e. people being "killed" when you, in fact, did not kill them), and the game is unfinished in a lot of places.
All that said, the dialogue is great and ypur choices really do matter. You can miss entire missions/finales depending on what options you pick. Worth it on sale, for sure, especially if you like pulpy spy stuff
A game with bad combat but an excellent story with choices that matter. Pick pistols and have fun.
The combat takes alot of getting used to.
Though playing a Rambo run after my stealth run was fun as fuck.
decisions and conversation options actually fucking matter and change things considerably
combat's nothing special but I gotta wonder about people calling it the worst thing ever. weapon choice makes a hell of a difference: pistols are your press x to win, hand-to-hand is pretty fun but makes some bosses hell, and anything else is ass.
basically what any bioware game wishes it could be in terms of DECISIONS SHAPE THE PLOT stuff, but with actually interesting characters who you can stick with, ditch, or murder if you want instead of having to keep them latched on to your dick the whole time.
tl;dr it's a real interesting game that does some neat stuff and you might only notice just how neat it is on a second playthrough, but it also requires some tolerance of bugs and unpolished gameplay.
heck is best girl
The combat is bad but the story and dialogue as other have said, is fucking amazing. It's a shame Obsidian was never given enough time to finish the game
The answer for that one is "unwanted".
>loyalist = 1 likeness (a)
>resulted = 3 likeness (ted)
>unwAnTED
It's easy as fuck.
I feel like people saying the combat is bad haven't actually played the game and are just parroting what other people have told them. There's nothing wrong with the combat in Alpha Protocol, it plays like every other 3rd person shooter to ever exist. Nobody says Grand Theft Auto is the best game of all time but the combat makes it unplayable garbage.
Worst sneaking animation and hacking minigames ever. Dialogue system is a mess. There are a few cute girls in this game though.
In GTA you do a shitload of different stuff like in all sandboxes, all the content has no depth but it's easy to get invested and not bored because you are always doing different shit.
In AP the combat is shit because you either break it completely abusing pistol or stealth or you slog around the game with EBIN tacticool cover shooter mechanics. Still worth playing because the dialog is hilarious. mad that I can't fug sis though.
The gameplay is serviceable. AP has good characters and choices that lead to consequences, something Mass Effect never really delivered on.
How was hacking not fun?
The gameplay is bad and it runs like ass, but the writing is fantastic and it's one of the best implementations of choices actually mattering.
You play a canon sociopath and lie to everyone you meet.
>you either break it completely abusing pistol or stealth or you slog around the game with EBIN tacticool cover shooter mechanics
Confirmed for never using anything but pistols.
...
>higher level shotguns
>walk up to people and watch their ragdolls fly 20 feet
good shit
>mfw I thought I gave you one of my mines
And thank god EMPs exist so I can avoid it.
Pistol and Stealth when maxed out just make everything else irrelevant. Hell, I've done nothing but no kill runs and it's still easy as hell
I wasn't going to reply because of that autism thing but I am calm.
actual choices.
>try to shittalk and kill SIE at every opportunity in russia
>+1
>+1
>+1
