AND YOUR SUIT SUCKS
Sly Thread
...
I hate like 99.99% of furry shit, but I would totally bang the shit out of Carmelita. I know how that sounds.
2 > 3 > 1 > 4
>3 higher than anything
Not sure about that, anonymous
>the bellydancing scene in Sly 4
>with Sly 4's shitty-looking Carmelita instead of 1-3's hot as fuck one
have you seen the PS2 models recently? they're pretty fucking horrible
best hub world based game series ever
3 and 4 both suffer from having too many playable characters but at least in 3 half of the characters weren't just literally Sly but with one extremely contextual special move. So it's above that at least
When's that TV show coming?
>best hub world based game series ever
Hell yeah, user
Wish more games adapted a similar system. Nothing everything needs to be open world. Hubs work wonders.
>tfw AssCreed straight-up ripped off the navel combat from Sly 3 and nobody said anything
1 is still one of the best games I've ever played. I don't know why but 2/3 just didn't feel as great to me.
>3 and 4 both suffer from having too many playable characters but at least in 3 half of the characters weren't just literally Sly but with one extremely contextual special move
That's literally what made 4 better than 3. Well that and it didn't shove gimmicks up your ass, remove bottles, etc.
The characters in 3 play like ass and boild down to their 1 gimmick move, beyond that they're complete shit and you'll never want to play as them. Playing as ancerstors was a by far better call.
4 is objectively better than 3.
I said something but no one listened...
Oh piss off with Sly 4's bottles. What a goddamn joke those rewards were.
>"Bruh you get a coin magnet, bruh you take no water damage, bruh here's a bottle locator, yeah we literally have 20% of the rewards be so you can find the other four, except the bottle locator is on the second to last level(?) so go screw yourself"
Insulting. Sly 3 was more dignified by not wasting our time.
>it didn't shove gimmicks up your ass
I like Sly 4 more than 3, I think but to be fair user...
There were those sixaxis motion control minigames
Sly 3 had the best locations though.
sly 3 with bottles and a two extra levels would make it the best imo
Sly 2 without blue sparkles and the game might actually be fun
>Sly 3 had the best locations though.
No way, Jose
Sly 2 had god-tier locations.
Plus, all the locations were at night. A big deal to a thiefey atmosphere.
>game removes sly staples, adds gimmicks and is just a massive step down from 2
>hurrr 3 is gud
>LET"S DANCE
remember that glitch in the first level of sly 3 where you destroy that singing platform in the mission where you have a singing contest with bentley and don ocativo, then even after the platform is destroyed you can walk on an invisible rope that's supposed to be connected to it
The baron level and the Pirate are are objectively the best levels in the series
I loved the pirate setting, the belgium setting and china setting of sly 3
We could have had it aaall.
this 100%
He Who Tames the Iron Horse and the Contessa's prison are probably my favorites looking back.
But I'm not sure how much of that's nostalgia.
The pirate level was amongst the worst ones in 3 from a gameplay standpoint.
I'll take levels like A Tangled Web from 2 any fucking day.
Shit fucking taste.
MFW you play sly for the first time and see clockwork in the background of all of the pictures of your ancestors
>picking worst level from 2
>stacking it against one of the best levels in the series
out
Loved Belgium. Best in the game
However, Rajan's second level, The Predator Awakes, is great. So are both of The Contessa's levels and Jean Bison's first level. Paris is timeless too.
>have you seen the PS2 models recently? they're pretty fucking horrible
I disagree. The cell-shading and simple shapes keeps them fairly timeless. Just play the Sly Collection. A simple remaster makes them striking.
DAMM! CAMILETA LOOK LIKE DAT??
''no''
>clockwork in the background of all of the pictures of your ancestors
Even the painted pictures.
Must have been holding that pre-murder pose for a while.
>origin game with Clockwork never
left or right
Remove cock from ass and realize that your nostalgia goggles are on too tight.
She's thick
I hate the contessa levels, also paris was lame, I agree with the others though
umm both games are from the same era
>carmelita gets a winter outfit
>sly doesn't
Why
Neither
Right is better for the body alone. Both have shit tier faces.
Left. Right's face is too small
3 is older than 2 you fucking retard
>replayed 1,2 and 4 several times
>tried to replay 3 when the hd collection came out but couldn't even finish it
3 is the fucking worst.
left head is bigger than her torso
wtf
>fip fip
>FAP
;)
what
>3 is older than 2 you fucking retard
We're not talking baby fucking here.
>And your suit sucks
How the fuck did SuckerPunch get away with putting this in a kid's game?
Sly 1 is my only Platinum Trophy on ps3.
I was not even trying.
I literally platinumed it in one sitting
i thought this was loss at first
I got all the plats for Sly 1-3
They're fairly easy gets
>ywn experience Paris for the first time ever again
God, I love all the locations in the Sly games but nothing beats Sly 2.
sly 2 is the best in the series for sure. one of my fav ps2 games easily.
2>4>1=3
When are we getting Sly 4?
The thing that gets me about Sly 2-3 is just how well-written the character dialogue is.
It's still funny and clever and witty all these years later
I don't think I played the same games then
I disagree. Those were actually my least favorite in Sly 3.
Actually, I'll amend that:
2>4>1>3
1 had the excuse of being a new IP from an inexperienced dev, whereas 3 did not. Taken on its own 1 is an excellent 3D platformer even if it doesn't fit the mold of what we think of as the Sly Cooper franchise as a whole.
october ninth 1937
Really? What gripes did you have with the dialogue?
Sly 3 sucked because they went way overboard with the minigames and gimmick characters and the core gameplay got lost in the mix. Just look at the hub worlds-- empty, lifeless, and devoid of treasures and secrets. No to mention that by the time you can afford any upgrades the game is almost over.
you preaching your unpopular opinion is just autistic shrieking
November 5th, 1955
I liked that they were always trying something new in Sly 3, but yeah, there's a good amount of chaff mixed in.
flying and ship battles were great
hard to say without paraphrasing but I unironically cringed at a lot of stuff, I've played it in three languages and english is the least bad but even that was pretty horrible from what I recall
>not a furry
>still had a thing for Carmelita as a wee lad
I don't know, something about the domineering adherence to honest justice.
And the midriff.
4=3=2=1
they all have their own strengths and flaws
>go into CEX
>see sly 2
>wonder what price it is
>£20
how do i get SLY 1-5 for a reasonable price?
A gripe I had with Thieves in Time, it was right there
There is literally nothing wrong with sly 4
>Alll being wrong about Sly 1
The order will always be 1>2>4>3, with 2 losing by a hair's breadth and 3 dragging it's ass and having worst carmelita
god her gun looks dumb here
get the HD collection senpai
the cave man ancestor shit was pretty embarrassing
Why is Carmelita so sexy?
this game, jak and daxter, and spyro im 100% confident are what caused children to become furfags
the gun looks retarded period it's like a hair dryer
Patrician taste. But let me be honest, sly4 was a pretty nice spin off game
Penelope.
post yfw, you realized that you need to save them all
Lack of antics with sassy lady pirate ancestor.
Neyla why?
2 is total trash. Two of the worst levels in gaming history are in that. Jungle platforming and the end level. By the 4th level, the rinse and repeat ran thin.
Sly 2 was great.
The best part is watching faggot Bently become a cripple.
this, his powerups in 3 were nice
Sly 2 was fucking amazing.
>the whole tutorial level
>dimitri ost
>the dancing scene in india
>the scene, where everyone gets kidnapped and you and bentley against the whole world
>how you save all them and need to beat like 100 guys with murray
>all the team conversations with sly not believing you that the water tower beeing a roboter
>the moment you need to knock out all the judges to win against bison
>when you need to leave the van back
>when nala betrays the bird
>when nala becomes the real evil
>when you win but also loose at the end
I fucking love this series.
2>3>1 and a nice spin off
Too bad the core platforming and stealth as barebones and uninteresting. Jump and circle. Magnetic. Brainless.
>Lack of antics with sassy lady pirate ancestor.
This so much
how would you make sly 5?
all the time travel shit from four would've fucked up the present and the game would be about fixing it
it would have throwbacks to the old games except altered because the new timeline is fucked, in fact you will get the old boss enemy's on your side to fix the timeline
yeah they could make some shit in the gameplay departement better. But Sly was lived from the characters and they were amazing and felt really alive.
Even the obligatory "go make pictures" mission at the beginning of the level felt nice, because it was about the settings and it made sense.
How was infamous 2? Did they managed to make it as fun as sly?
Man, if I could, I would do a Sly-like game about a gang and fill it with just fun and stupid shit like yakuza
enemies not enemy's
sly 5 should be sly's dad's game
I always thought it would be cool if you could play a chapter as his gang-- Dr. M, McSweeny, and Sly's Dad
That'd be badass
I was kinda hoping that they'd tap into that.
With the timeline changed, Arpeggio, Clockwork, and all those other villians are no longer dead/defeated.
I hear HD collection for ps3 has a lot of shitty bugs/remixed not-fitting music etc. Is that true? Has there been any patches to relieve the issues? Or am I better off playing it on PS2 for the best experience?
