Which is the proper cancel button?
Which is the proper cancel button?
Escape
B
any of them are fine
B or Circle.
The sphere
Square you double nigger.
Square + R2 to Accept
Hold Select and push L3 to Cancel
Circle if you're not a Nip
I miss when it was X for confirm and Δ for cancel
Circle. B if it uses letters.
the red O button
For me X, Circle doesn't make sense, X is no, Circle is yes. I never understood why they changed it overseas.
Green Triangle is go and Red Circle is no
O for confirm and X for cancel
I was used to it being triangle forever but then they started going with o and it fucked my shit up for a while.
But you make an X to cast your vote in an election, not an O. Also X is accelerate, and O is handbrake.
am I the only one that think the colors are wrong? X should be red, Circle should be green
>But you make an X to cast your vote in an election, not an O.
No, I fill in a bubble.
>Also X is accelerate, and O is handbrake.
If X is accelerate, then R1 should be handbrake.
Circle or B
R1 is change camera or look backwards or sumshit.
In a japanese game? X.
In a western game? O.
X and O to accept, Δ to cancel
In Japan, red = good and blue = bad. That's why on the Dreamcast controller they made A red and B blue.
For me it's like the position of A and B on a 3DS for example.
Triangle or fork.
Triangle.
This shit tier thread will probably break 100 replies. I fucking hate this board.
What would you rather talk about?
I'm sorry your thread wasn't popular, better luck next time
I hope you have a fantastic weekend, friend!
Triangle. PS3 did it wrong, so has PS4.
Circle of course
circle because it's red, x is accept, and triangle is for the more options menu
>Playing Crash Bandicoot
>Go to save
>Instinctively press x to select save slot
>Loading
Circle, its red, just like the B button on Xbox.
Red means bad, stop, or go back. It's not hard to grasp
>kiddy-tier controller
I prefer the JP variant. Feels more natural
I'm still used to the Nintendo ABXY layout over Dreamcast/Xbox so it makes more sense to me that the PlayStation layout would match it.
Face button labeling where this isn't an issue.
How does this image make any sense
behead those who don't use O to cancel !
But it's Nintendo who uses letters.
Definitely not fucking triangle, what the fuck.
>square not on picture
Square on PS and B on xbone
except for the fact the xbox controller looks like a fucking fisher price toy OOOH COLORS *mashes joypad with palms like a babby* Get a load of this faggot. Look at him, see what a faggot he is. in b4 your argument claims i like somy or nintendo nonspoilers fag i dont also im not a contrarian or a centerist you=BTFO post your shitty reaction image already faggot*mic drops like an ethnic minority who thinks they have a point to make*
Triangle
>PS1+2 is triangle
>PS3 confuses the fuck outta me, with circle until I get used to it
>turns out this isn;t even the same as japan, where cross is cancel
Why can't you make up your fucking minds sony?
but O means correct and X means no
the same reason why A on nintendo controllers is on the right and B is on the bottom
CTR using square
X means confirm as in "yes I'll make an X in that box to affirm my choice" you fucking heathen.
Hey what symbol is on the button you click to close the browser you're reading Sup Forums with?
It would have been so much simpler to just make it O for accept and X for cancel everywhere. I don't know why they didn't.
You use a CHECK mark to fill in a CHECK box, you fucking idiot.
Cross button
You fill in the box, you X the box, or you checkmark the box. All are equally valid.
Circle is the ONLY answer
you use an x you fucking mongoloid
...
Share button
/thread
B
I'll say again. You fill in the box, you X the box, or your checkmark the box. All are equally valid choices when it comes to marking something.
I prefer RMB
>X to Accept/Jump
>Square to Light attack/Reload
>Triangle to Heavy attack/Switch weapons
>Circle to Cancel
Cross is cancel, it's no since there's a circle which means yes.
Cross would have been a viable yes if had to fill a blank, but that's not the case.
A check mark is far more common.
If cancel isn't at least three buttons in a pattern, then the game is shit
...
Triangle to exit the menu completely
Circle to cancel one action
originally X was cancel and O was accept.
That looks so wrong
it still is this way in Japan and JP region coded games. I've played so many nip games that now X for yes and O for no is awkward to me.
>the decomposing necropolis of xdrones
Triangle, it's the furthest from X (confirm).
WHY DID THEY FUCKING DO THIS?!
All I can say is thank fuck it autosaves regularly
This is because the word for circle/round is literally the same one for correct/perfect in moonrunes ("maru")
Actually, L2 would be
L2 is the new cancel
R2 to confirm and L2 to cancel
Delete this
Fuck mgs 5, that game pissed me off so bad with its backwards controls that I could never get right.
The one on the right.
square obviously
>consolecucks continue to fight over which controller for their DRM box is better meanwhile I can choose any one I want on the PC.
>unironically posting images from reddit
You can still argue over which one is better, you mongoloid.
>NO STOP TALKING ABOUT VIDEO GAMES
it originated from Yahtzee you underage twat.
select+start
square. yes, i'm an absolute madman.
my mind is having a hard time adjusting to this
Mom thanks for making me pc masterrace with my new prebuilt pc handmedown XD time to play minecraft and watch zero punctuation/pewdiepie with my fellow redditors gaben is BASED hl3 nevar!!!!!11!1!!
circle or b
X makes more sense, but I'm too used to O being cancel. Triangle should be menu or whatever.
>+10 year using PS user
>Converted to Xbox
>Play games
>On screen "press Y to continue"
>Literally look at controller to find Y button
>"Press BR+B"
>Spent 20 seconds searching on the controller for that shit
>Nope.PNG
>SoldThatXbox1.gif
>BoughtPS4.jpeg
>Happyman.raw
no shit and rage faces originated from here
The red one, obviously.
X for jump cancelling, O for guard cancelling.
red = hot = good = confirm
blue = cold = bad = cancel
X : Confirm
O: Cancel
/\ : Menu
O if X is your confirm button
X if O is your confirm button
Triangle should NEVER EVER be a candidate for the cancel button
