Sonic Chronicles is such a flawed game... The soundtrack and animations are horrible. It is graphically ugly, some parts of the plot and some dialogues were shit. I don't blame those who hate this game, it was an audiovisual mess.
But I really enjoyed it despite of it's flaws. The maps are not big, but exploration was fun, unlocking new abilities to get into new places was good... The combat gameplay was pretty normal, but doing team attack was great. And some of the dialogue choices added fun to the game, especially when you could flirt with Amy! I literally fell in love there.... And Chao garden. It wasn't the full Chao garden but it is something... And the side quests were so good! They weren't repetitive. It's a shame that Sega doesn't make Sonic spinoff like this anymore. A new Sonic RPG with those problems fixed would be a great Sonic game
