Why is he so hot?
>getting weapons and gear in 0
>you need to send a specific goon somewhere FOR A CHANCE to get a weapon or recipe
>if you get a recipe you need materials that are scattered all over the world which are also behind rng
>do this for 100 weapons and 70 gear items to complete the cp listing
They couldn't possibly make this more tedious.
Just save it till you're done with everything else and just fucking spam that shit. It's not as if you need your money for anything else at that point.
The search can be completed instantly if you just pump your money into it. I crafted only a couple of weapons with materials since i got most of them through the search.
"GOD DAM SORO SORO!"
why the fuck can't you use costumes in NG+
Misawa
Extra attention from the modelers, because he's the fandom darling.
They seem to have a deal with NJPW wrestlers but I'd love to see Kawada in the game, even if it's just his ramen shop or an homage to it.
>tfw haven't finished 0 yet (on PS3)
Only doing the fun stuff, so I don't have to grind shit all over again after I get my PS4.
what chapter are you on?
14, that's near the end, I think.
yeah it's pretty close
It's the last numbered chapter for Kiryu
Got sidetracked with real estate. Maybe I'll leave it for the PS4 playthrough, Kiryu's classic moveset seems like a lesser reward compared to Majima's.
you can always mix real estate with doing other stuff while you wait for the payment
the only engaging things are the fights and challenges with Kings, it's not like Majima's club management when you have to drop everything else to do it
Yakuza 3-5 PS4 collection releasing 2019.
is that news from TGS?
he's just bullshitting you, a port collection doesn't take 2 years to release
Has this series always had annual releases?
2007 and 2013 were years without any Yakuza game, be it main series or a spinoff
I've always wondered why it's pretty much annual, there's a Yakuza coming out next year and the year after and Kiwami 2 coming out this year in Japan, does Sega have like 2 Yakuza studios or something?
Kiwamis are just recycled 0/6 so it doesn't take them much to do them
>friendship heat actions are back
Thank god for that.
>finished 0
>playing kiwami 1
The first cut scene with Majima teared me up after watching what he went through in 0.
Lets not talk about the millennium tower as well.
Benis
I get that part, the ability to reuse assets and engine speeding things up, as well as story with Kiwami 1/2.
Post favorite HEAT moves
I have only played through 1 and 2 to completion

>Drunk faggot staggers straight into Kiryu
>Whines that it's Kiryu's fault
>Kiryu offers to help him up
>Drunk faggot smashes him in the face with a rock
Wow, this actually made me mad. What kind of fucking retard does that?
I mean 6 was a pain in the ass to make because of the new engine, hence the lack of content
>get Kiwami
>boot it up
>WUBWUBWUBWUB
wtf is this I thought I booted up Yakuz not Tekken
It's especially weird considering that the dubstep fad died out years ago now.
>lack of content
Don't forget lack of performance and fun, user.
Great Muta (Not Keiji Mutoh)
Kenny Omega
Shinsuke Nakamura, but no way that'll happen.
is it normal to give a ring as a birthday present
To be fair they had to do a brand new Sotenrobi for Kiwami 2.
Suzuki of course
When you are a high ranked yakuza with more money to spend that you can ever care about sure.
What was his problem?
Secretly homo for goro-kun
I just want an over the top wrestling game using the Yakuza battle system.
can Majima play OutRun in 0?
I didn't try for myself but since he later visits Kamurocho I guess he can
Yeah but you can only see half of the screen
These games are bad because there's no challenge.
Every Yakuza game reusing Kamurocho as the setting has an interesting effect that I don't think I've ever experienced in another game. At this point, I know Kamurocho like it's a neighborhood I've lived in in real life. In most games I feel like I check the map a lot to get where I wanna go, but at this point I know the ins and outs of this town completely.
Has any other game taken place on the same patch of land for multiple generations like the Yakuza series has?
I hate this meme
it's as challenging as you make it to be
it's not like you're forced to use heal items, and it's not like you can't run out of them
I hate the meme that a game needs to be difficult to be enjoyable. Sup Forums makes every fucking game into a dick-measuring contest regardless of whether or not the game was designed to be "hard"
anyone got tips on how to setup combination/carom shots? I only got 1 combination out of sheer luck
And localization doesnt take over a year.
Kiwami is pretty ''hard'' and I enjoyed it a lot, I at least felt like every style had a use. With Zero I could've just mashed my way through the game with brawler.
Why didn't Kiryu get with the Yakuza hunter?
Define "hard". I blasted through ghe game on normal.
Normal is baby mode if you bother with upgrades
Well, enemies actually fought back in Kiwami compared to all the other games. With hard I didn't really mean hard, just challenging but fun. I felt like I had to use different styles because of situations when with Zero I could've mashed my way through the game with Brawler. Also
>normal
>the golden age of Yakuza was Y5, Ishin and Y0
>we didn't get Ishin, but we got Kiwamis remakes and Y6 in the shitty West
I will drop the series if there is Kiwami 3.
GOD DAMN
*guitar riff*
I think they're better off just remastering 3, 4 and 5 instead of remaking them fully
Don't try being that shitposter from the previous thread.
Man gauntlets have gotten short and boring after 5.
>Y1
>Kiryu's idea of quality time with Haruka is to take her to underground gambling spot
Babies will say that Yakuza 5 was bad, because they waited 4 years for it and their expectations were too high.
But still the game was fantastic.
This. Yakuza 5's story may have sucked but it's bosses and gaunlets were fucking amazing. After finishing Zero I felt like playing 5 again and I feel the same way after Kiwami. Might actually do it again.
We really need new healing system.
Pausing and just drinking 10 drinks for heal is super cheap and it's destroying the flow of the combat.
Maybe needing to drink in real time will fix the problem in one go.
Playing in the coliseum with just using your heat for healing is fucking fun.
Yeah there should be a short animation to drink the energy drinks.
Kenny Omega
I miss the red heat from Yakuza 5.
Saejima abilities with full upgrades were unstoppable. After you beat Komaki, you can learn to grab an enemy leg and just beat his friends with his body.
>that video
God, I don't think any moment will ever top that in Yakuza. I really hope the gaunlets will be good in Yakuza 6, or at least plentiful. That's the meat of the game imo.

Dame da ne. Dame yo dame na no yo
There are plenty of huge battles in 6, but they don't really feel like much compared to that fight in 5 in particular.
I don't care about wrestling.
Suzuki is the guy I could see being the best fit for a Yakuza game
That's cool to hear but yeah like I said I don't think anything will top that moment, it's just too good.
Look at this 90's AJPW shit. We need a wrestling game from these guys.
DORE DAKE
I have no idea what any of that means but the PSP games are made by the same dudes who made Def Jam FFNY, the greatest wrestling game of all time and it seems to be pretty similar to that.
Kiwami 2 looks good, has there been any word on if they will be doing any optimisation to the engine? I've heard lots of people saying Yakuza 6 doesn't run very well
I don't really care. Any of them will be good.
The only thing I don't like is that stupid clan creator mini game from 6.
Just.. why?
That never happened beofre - everytime mini games are new. Why brought it back and the worst one? FFFFUUUUUUUCK
I didn't get plat on 6 only cuz of that dumb mini game
It ran pretty well during the stream, so I guess they might have done something.
It runs fine on a PS4 Pro. No dips, no tearing, stable 30 FPS.
Only improvements I noticed in K2 is that the combat is much smoother.
>playing Mahjong in Kiwami
>very good starting hand
>manage to get a dragon triplet and dora within my first 4 turns
>call richii
>All I need is a character of 4 to complete my hand
>nobody is placing it
>some other bitch calls richii with about 10 tiles left
>Since I'm in Richii, game automatically discards my tile
>get the Ron
>lose all my fucking sticks
DAME DAME
Yeah it did look smoother in the stream, but I noticed the lighting wasn't as nice as 6.
6 runs like shit on PS4.
> screen tearing
> fps drop
still playable tho
I don't know what any of this means but I'm sorry to hear, user.
So Majima has his normal moveset in Kiwami 2 but Kiryu only has the shitty one from 6? Fuck that.
So you're saying it's not normal for Kiryu
Maybe they'll work something out for Kiryu, wouldn't it be jarring to be between Kiryu's moveset which was adjusted for the new physics and Majima's old moves?
His fighting style in 6 is pretty much Doojima no Ryu from 5. The fuck are you talking biatch?
The def jam guys also made WWF no mercy, wrestlemania 2000 and the good wcw games.
I dunno why they're sticking to his fighting style in 6, but it's not that bad, honestly. Only problem with 6 is your combos getting broken when enemies guard.
Kiwami/1 Kiryu would be really really deep in money before getting arrested. He was a lieutenant for the Dojima family.
Just kind of annoying when the original game not only has better combat but faster too. Pointless remake is pointless.
If you watched the gameplay videos his combos are pretty fast. They can get pretty fast in 6 too when you level that stat up.
It's not pointless at all. Remakes aren't remasters.
what's the Tiger Driver 91 of heat moves? youtube.com
>better combat
You're joking right? Have you played the game?
Have you even played Kiryu's new style fully leveled up?
> starts with 0 yen
> has to borrow from Shinji twice
this bait
>has better combat but faster too
Confirmed for never having actually played 6.
Kiwami's combat looks a lot smoother than 6's too. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Unless you're complaining about not having a fighting style that's already been in over 5 fucking games.
>I have no idea what any of that means
A lot of heat actions and qtes straight up look like they came from a wrestling show. The Yakuza combat system can easily be tweaked into a wrestling game
Including 2, the game this is an unfaithful remake of.
