Well for starters the last generation used a completely different archetecture and chipset; getting an x86/64 processor to emulate the cell chip would be a fucking engineering hell/marvel and on nintendo's side we have the same problem DOUBLED by being a portable, we all remember how shit UMD's were, imagine shoving a wii u disk in your console barely the size of the disk in the first place
