PUBG killed it
I kind of wish we had a single player version of this where you're going through the story and doing missions in an open world.
They can create all kinds of monsters alongside the zombies.
nothing
and thats the problem
early access ruins games
dayz died long before pubg
They slowly turned it into what the game was meant to be " a zombie survival sim", but the majority of people only played DayZ for what the enjoy in PUBG now so everyone started to hate it and dropped it
Yeah I wish there was quests with NPC's in DayZ, the game is dead as fuck now like you'll never even see another player in any given server at this point so it's unplayable unless you're content with roaming an empty world and whacking the occasional zombie.
>PUBG
Underage, DayZ was in shambles long before PUBG was a glimmer in that playerunknown faggots ballsack.
killroy got blackout drunk and turned into a dying whale all while streaming
It would also need good hostile NPCs like hostile survivors, wildlife, etc.
You can easily make a STALKER-like experience with DayZ like games.
DayZ was ahead of its time.
I remember really liking this guy's videos on Dayz and then he stopped doing them so I stopped watching him. Interesting premise but shit execution.
They make Notch in his vacation prime look on the ball when it comes to developing their game.
isn't that State of Decay?
>i hate popular games because theyre popular
Developers bailed with the money. Also, too much focus on survival, not on PvP.
>When the mod is better than the standalone
Was pretty fun for a few months that I played it for sure.
when things were actually happening, there's not a single game in the world i would play instead of dayz.
nothing comes close to the intensity of dayz and the emergent gameplay.
too bad 99% of the game is shit
It was quite fun in the beginning, but they simply did fuck all with the game and let it become obsolete.
Total inability to implement any features or get things working correctly, so eventually the game's popularity no longer got a free ride from Twitch.tv streamers.
Kind of a shame, actually. Much like The Division.
Shooting someone in the back of the head has never felt as exciting as in this game. I'll always remember my first kill.
dayz standalone delivered some of the most immersive nighttime/darkness gaming
yeah man, maxing gamma was sure fun
Maxing gamma didn't change much about night time gameplay. You still couldn't see shit unless it was standing in the open against a lit sky backdrop.
I can understand you're the type of gamer that fagged everything up trying to turn DayZ into a BR game just so you could be at the top of some imaginary leaderboard and hide in the woods with infinite gear.
