>he has to budget his gaming hobby
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
What am I looking at?
It is, since you will need to buy 2 consoles of the same generation (PS4 and PS4 Pro for example) too keep up. I have an PS4, cant run new games for shit without lag
All depends on your own budget and what you like to do ffs.
I don't think anyone believes that.
The upfront cost of a PC that delivers comparable performance to a PS4 is a lot more than $250 (current price of a PS4 Slim + game).
Any argument in favour of PC costing less is made on the the basis of long term costs since PC generally has cheaper games and there is no required online subscription.
Even then though, I would say that PC still costs more, though this obviously depends on the build. I happen to think the extra cost is worth it, so PC is my primary platform.
>I have to buy a monitor too?
>My games won't look good if i don't buy top of the line monitors?
>Keyboard and mouse not included?
>Build doesn't even work because building a pc isn't as easy as I thought it was?
this
I'll never understand people having desk this tiny.
And what's the deal with those keyboards without numeric keypad ?
>Build doesn't even work because building a pc isn't as easy as I thought it was
Short of being unlucky and getting a DOA component, you have to be a proper brainlet for this to happen to you, which is good that it would drive you away because it means you're probably barely smart enough to play press x to win handholding games anyway.
People who say this are hardcore memers, but there's nothing wrong with a PC costing more than a console. Why wouldn't it? The hardware is significantly better and it has a way, way broader level of functionality outside of gaming.
bios of an asus motherboard from what I can tell
>be a responsible adult with an actual job that requires you having a pc in the first place
>pc gaming is now basically free
wooow
>My games won't look good if i don't buy top of the line monitors
How is that ANY different at all from console?
>My games won't look good if I don't buy a top of line television
You should try getting a job and bettering your life instead of playing video games if you are so poor tbqhwyfamalam but what do I know
Ryzen R7 1700 ($300)
ASUS Mobo ($100)
32 GB DDR4 RAM ($200)
500 GB Samsung SSD ($200)
GPU (Prob $450)
PSU (Prob $80)
Case (Prob $80)
Keyboard/Mouse (prob $150)
Monitor (probably $250)
Total cost of the machine is around $1800 +- 100.
Pretty expensive build.
isn't that monitor a bit too high
Needing to buy a ps4 pro. Are you actually this retarded?
Why would anyone pay that much for a case and kb/mouse?
>PC gaming is free
>free
Yeah I don't think you know what that word means
I can barly read abd write. I bild a 500 € pc in 2h and its workt. Grafix was brocken artifags and shit have to swap it 4-5 timems XD ayymd btw stll wuld buy 1
>he doesn't ergonomics
Backlit mech and any good optical gaming mouse will run $150 together without much trouble
Top of monitor should be eye level, so neither do you, apparently.
>haha...ha...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Get off the internet you imbecile.
you get what you pay for
No one said that
You don't know the height of the chair you cock mongler. The monitor is likely that height for eye level
>tfw 550 total spent with an I7 2600 and a gtx 1070
Suck it scrubs 4K and up at 60fps is mine fags.
lol this desu. i honestly pity the fool that thinks playing on consoles is superior. LOL
>Ryzen
...
>Build doesn't even work because building a pc isn't as easy as I thought it was?
Holy shit assembling a pc is as difficult as putting legos together, even a child could do it, and in fact many surely do
>Being a corelet
shilltel cucks on suicide watch
that monitor looks fucking retarded, its too fucking high REEEEEE ..
I doubt it, his chair would have to be pretty high at that desk for it to line up to eye level
Same reason people buy gaming consoles. Disposable cash.
A more competent buy would be something like this
>R5 1600 ($200)
>Mobo ($80)
>16 GB DDR4 Ram ($70)
>GPU ($450)
>256 GB SSD ($70)
>2 TB HDD ($60)
>PSU ($50)
>Case ($50)
>Key/Mouse ($50)
>Monitor ($150)
~ $1230, that's without any coupon savings. With proper coupons and optimization, this will run ~$1000 and will be identical with OP's build.
10boxone10=500$
your meme build =550$
>won't be obsolete in 2 years
I wonder which one is better value
...
>xbox
>4k
HAHAHAHAHHAHA
Really showed me.
>32 GB DDR4 RAM
>top of the line SSD
woah there buddy
You realize that game is only getting the reaction it's getting because it is literally used as bait. PUBGfags do not discuss their game. They only shitpost. They should be removed along with consolewars.
>intelfags are still assblasted by Ryzen's performance
Don't forget to buy your dual core x299 HEDT processor.

Yes, I'm sure that 7700K at 5Ghz was totally handicapped somehow to make the Ryzen look good.
I think it's sad because there's people who actually think this. If you're an enthusiast in a hobby, shouldn't you buy top of the line shit? People who are really into cars don't drive around in some cheap clunker because it's all they can afford, they go all out and customize their car so it looks great and runs even better. If you've been playing video games for the past 20 years (which you probably haven't because all of Sup Forums is young as fuck and are probably stressing about their history exam on Monday morning), shouldn't you want to play games in the best possible environment? And to be real fucking honest video games are one of the cheapest hobbies to have, with a rig with a 1070 setting you back anywhere from 900-1100. I make that in a week at my job and I'm super lower on the totem pole.
If you're really hurting for money because of your position in life (or young working for Target/fast food) and a thousand bucks is a huge investment for you then I feel bad for your situation and hope it improves, but if you're over the age of 21 or so and hesitant to spend a few hundred more on a WAY better game experience plus the added benefit of a computer then I don't know what to tell you
I have not, I have an gaming PC + a PS4.
If you actually tried to comprehend what I said, a PS4 is not strong enough to handle new games. Therefore inorder to buy new releases and play them at full capacity I'll need to buy a PS4 pro since the PS4 cannot run them properly.
You must be the retarded one here
Its all about economy. Unless you're a millionaire, it cost a bit to sustain these expensive hobbies.
Those cost comes from other things in life that necessitates your comfort/survival.
Someone making 20K a year shouldnt waste their money on "top of the line" but they can still be an enthusiasts. They just have to lag 1 year behind the super rich.
If you're poor but a phone enthusiasts, don't get this year's new phone, get last year's phone. Instead of spending $1000, you now only spend $200-300.
Same with car enthusiast, instead of spending $30K on new cars, you can spend $15K for last years model.
Same with game consoles/PC/etc.
The difference between this year and last year's top end model will be negligent for all your enthusiasts need. But the money saved is essential to pay rent.
>build PC for gaming
>use it for shitposting
Putting videogames on the same machine as Sup Forums was a mistake.
Unless you have a piece of shit old tv you can use your TV as a monitor just fine.
and Keyboard and mouse are pocketchange. Not sure why you are going after those of all things.
The price point for a decent gaming PC is just a bit higher than the usual price of a console that is initially sold at a loss (And is at this point cheaper) and further tugs at your wallet with more expensive games and paid online services.
>Build doesn't even work because building a pc isn't as easy as I thought it was?
Like assembling Legos once you have your parts list. You put the things in where the screws properly line up, plug your shit into the only fitting sockets, read the manual if unclear on where certain things go (Or even just watch a short youtube video) and assemble it without building up static electricity like a retard.
Ryzen is great (Though I'm waiting for the next one). No real point in a 1700 for something that is specifically a gaming rig though when an R5 would do (As is the case for most of those components).
>I have not, I have an gaming PC + a PS4.
Why? For Bloodborne? 99% of PS4's library overlaps with PC or older consoles.
good cases are easier to build in/have better airflow or more features/hdd cages
Never pay more than 80-90 for a case though, $100+ are either for aesthetics or for the equivalent of buying a escalade
Man, maybe I'm delusional but owning a quality pc is like owning a good car.
expensive pc's are really beautiful
Definitely delusional. Your PC will be worthless in 10 years and will never have any cool factor that a good car does.
your car required maintenance as much as your pc
I can see where you're coming from but a good car will probably last longer.
a pentium 4 used to be a top of the line PC and nobody looks fondly at that like it's some cool old thing.
I only use super charged red LEDs because i like my computer to be more powerful im a graphics whore
Owning a quality anything is like owning a quality anything.
Imagine owning a quality house, or a quality bicycle or a quality television or a quality watch, or a quality life or a quality job or a quality love etc
The feelings are nearly same. Its all based on relational phenomena where you identify your object of discussion as being superior quality to most other's object of discussion.
That is some hideous rice right there
