What are some characters that singlehandedly ruined a game for you? I'll start with an easy one.

He didn't ruin it for me, but he felt like a massive waste of time.

...

Lymle

I was honestly ready to forgive him. Would have accepted him right back into my party, he was stylish as fuck. But nope, game forced him to die OR DID HE? FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON PERSONA 5: CRIMSON RUBY BLOOD INFRARED™, FEATURING MARIE™ FROM THE PERSONA 4™ SERIES

Hate his character. Liked his voice. I don't want him to come back. He is the Damian Wayne of Persona.

>implying pic related wasn't absolute kino

>not liking Akechi
Shit taste.

He was better than the bland nothing known as Haru Fivehead.

Zinnia was a fucking retard but I'd mating press her retarded cunt in to the dirt.

Akechi's plan was non sensucal and convoluted. Akechis real personality was cringe hot topic Naruto tier. Hope you cut yourself when Crow isn't in Q2 or Dance.

The symbol of the beginning of KH's downfall.

>featuring marie from the persona serise

oh god no!

>Atlus not pandering to their new fujo fanbase
They're not that dumb. Also, please remember that literally every single pro-Akechi post is either a fujo or a faggot. No normal human being likes that abomination. Not even the one who will post that """he""" does in response to this post.

>but he felt like a massive waste of time
This. The moment he started talking about his "tragic past" I knew exactly what his deal was and how his story would play out, he was that transparent and cliche.

That one death kid in persona 3 . The one who put you name in the ledger. For some reason I have an irrational hatred for him. Like I mean pure, primal hatred.

My bro who was watching me played said my face contorted into a scowling
glare when he made the ledger disappear. Then he later told me how important it to plot he was and I couldn't
Continue because that made me furious.

No idea why I hate him so much. Besides of course the standard autism

he did not ruin the game but he felt like such a waste of a character. he could have been the antagonist in a different way who truly belived in the law and justice system but forced to work for the Thives out of circumstance.

but nope, his a crazy mass murderer

Anons, Akechi will be revived in P5:DAN because a god of rebellions was born from the twisted thoughts brought about by the PT VS. Yaldy scenario. This caused Akechi to revive because the PT cast wished that he did subconsciously. Most feelings towards him will be ignored in favour of smooth banter between the party.
The new PT member, Misaki Matushita, will be the focus of this storyline and all character growth will be ignored for literally everyone involved except the new girl and whatever personality Joker gets stuck with.

...

I really enjoyed P5, but the whole game really did feel like a string of cool ideas and concepts that they never took anywhere.

Maybe they're saving him for P5 Arena, or something; if that even happens

>No normal human being likes that abomination. Not even the one who will post that """he""" does in response to this post.

Fair enough, I don't have anything to criticize here. But room enough for discussion, what was going through Akechi's head while he conjured up his revenge scheme for 2-3 years?

He was in 8th grade by the time he thought of his master plan. Some questions I have, no one really has to answer but these are pretty reasonable.

Where would Akechi live after he blackmailed Shido? You don't need Persona powers to murder someone, there are enough shady characters around Shido to order a hit on Akechi (whom everyone is aware of), Akechi isn't a millionare with private bodyguards, ordering a hit on him is easy. I mean, look at what happened to the Ohya's friend, braindead at a mental asylum for messing with Shido's people.

Sure you could theoretically grab him by the balls right when Shido had the spotlight, but Akechi's long term goals of survival were pretty bleak.

I unironically wanted Mishima or Sae to take over Akechi's role after he ditched you.

The game toyed with your emotions, you were going to be picking targets. Instead, targets are chosen for you. And with the clear exception of the 5th palace (which was a forced of hand and accidental conned into being hitmen), you just did as you were told by someone else. Why did the game ask you "which targets DO you wanna go after" so much in the 2nd/3rd Palace sagas? Why did the game talk so much about Futaba's mom and her research, then after Shido is out of the picture no one wants to find the data itself. The Metaverse research data became the crucial plot device from the second half of the game and uh...well...it, yeah, it was unfinished. What was in it? What did Shido learn from it? Why didn't Akechi ever read it himself and figure out you could change hearts instead of murdering people (Akechi himself was surprised at the notion of it).

Why didn't Yusuke play a significant bigger role as a Phantom Thief? The calling card for the bank was done by Makoto and put in public by Makoto and Ryuji in the dead of night. Sae's calling card was...once again done by Makoto and delivered by Makoto. The final calling card was done by everyon--haha I mean Futaba. Haru's father calling card...yep, not done by Yusuke or delivered by Yusuke. Yusuke as an artist didn't really get to spread his wings and be creative with calling cards. Everyone points out Haru in the intro, fair, let's talk about Yusuke and his lack of street graffiti. You do more graffiti as the player character in the classroom chalkboard than Yusuke does the entire game.

I could argue just as passionately about Ryuji and Ann, whom similarly did nothing, but Yusuke was mishandled greatly. Never reached his potential because he wasn't given a chance. I swear his social link should have been you being delinquents with him by doing graffiti in public, not justifying ATLUS reuse of the museum assets for hanging out.

The only actual delinquents in the game are: Joker, Futaba, Ryuji, Akechi. Meanwhile Makoto, Ann, Haru, and Morgana aren't at all.

And since I'm on a bitching streak, WHY IS A GAME ABOUT THIEVERY NOT PULLING HEISTS AT NIGHT TIME. Day time activities are aplenty, while night isn't. That should have been rebalanced to favor some type of phantom thief activity at night.

>I can't see things from different perspectives because I have crippling autism
Sad!

Hello fujo!

t. fujoshit.

>The only actual delinquents in the game are: Joker, Futaba, Ryuji, Akechi. Meanwhile Makoto, Ann, Haru, and Morgana aren't at all.
To be fair, the unifying theme of the PT is more 'outcasts of society' than just delinquents. Even then, you could argue Makoto and Haru aren't as outcast as the others.

I argue with your other points. Hell, the Daybreakers OVA implied nighttime PT activities to scout for intel and conduct Mementos heists. In the actual game? Mishima spoon feeds you info, and Mementos is basically an after-school club.

kek I don't even like akechi you dumb nigger, I just think you're retarded. here's your (You)

*I agree with your other points.
I am also retarded.

What are some more characters that dabbed?

>after school club

Senpai I miss them. Persona 3 had like 5 of them. Persona 3's soundtrack was huge compared to 3. Persona 3 had tons of quests with better rewards (IMO) than Persona 5's. I think Persona 5 is the stronger game because of the gameplay, but Persona 3 had so much in other areas despite being the first modern Persona game. It just bothers me that sequels don't keep pushing what their predecessors did before.

Ah, what a clever tack! Rather than try to claim you are in a group outside of the only people that like Akechi, which I preempted, you'll just say you DON'T like Akechi, but that I'm wrong anyway. Which you have no way of proving, since you """don't""" like Akechi.

What a clever fujo you are.

She goes back to her fiancé tho

Why did you post a blank picture? Are you implying that KH is as good as always?

The cutscenes in the game are inconsistent. Ryuji claims cellphone reception doesn't work and neither does the camera application, in the first literal cutscene the real world cops outside of Sae's palace have tons of electronics and communication devices.

Mementos is never given a proper anime entrance like the TV world did in Persona 4 or Tartarus in Persona 3. You just get called out by Morgana out of the blue and find out there's a random generating dungeon without much fanfare. It's almost as if parts of the game were hastily added in together and cutscenes were ordered way in advance of production and had to be used one way or the other. Don't you find it strange that Akechi isn't featured at all after his disappearing act? He didn't even get a proper sendoff like Shinjiro in Persona 3 did, like they ran out of money and forgot "shit we needed an anime cutscene here too".

>Hope you cut yourself when Crow isn't in Q2 or Dance.
Atlus would shoot themselves in the foot if their fujoshi fuckboy didn't appear in the spinoffs.

The fact that he's too obvious as the traitor and he got shot down so quickly makes me even more suspicious. Maybe Atlus prepare another kind of massive twist in the spinoff that will totally change anything about this guy

Literally this

Doesn't Futaba use her laptop in safe rooms? Unless the nature of safe rooms allow electronics to work, but if that's so, more party members should be checking their phones while waiting for Joker to stop dicking around in the menu.

I like Akechi a lot. I'm not sure I'd call him a compelling character, but I liked almost all of his interactions and enjoyed the cat/mouse thing that was going on during his social links. All the other characters in the PT felt kind of stupid and the police were never really a threat either. Akechi felt very much like he knew you were the mastermind behind the phantom thieves and wanted you to be aware of that.

I liked both the fake persona of 'I care about justice and can respect the PT but what they are doing is wrong and they must be put before the law' and his actual self. I think the execution of the 'true self' was really bad though because he just kind of loses it and goes full retard very quickly. Keeping some of his intelligence and having him actually have the upper hand over the PT for at least a little bit would have been nice.

I can see why people don't like him though.

Makoto doesn't use her bike while Morgana has a babyquit tantrum. The Bank Palace villain is the only one who doesn't issue a public apology. Futaba bugged LeBlanc without anyone in the neighborhood noticing her existence, especially when she's afraid of the dark. Futaba bugged airwaves at the end of the game without leaving her room and no one backtraced her. No one notices a cat underneath the protagonist's desk for an entire year. The new SIU Director doesn't question how his predecessor died out of the blue. It's never explained why the school principal had to take Joker in, he implied he was forced but how/why. The school principal died while Haru was in Hawaii, they humor the idea of Haru being the Black Mask killer when she was with them in Hawaii the whole time. Cognitive versions of Ryuji, Makoto, and Haru never manifest. Futaba's self strangling and hallucinations are never explained. No one questions who was pulling the strings after Shido stepped down and Sae told them they were still going to be arrested, by whom at that point? I'm not talking about a deity, who was the head figure in the human world at that point and why were they never brought to justice, only Shido?

>Makoto doesn't use her bike while Morgana has a babyquit tantrum.
To be fair, Mementos has a really uneven surface littered with train tracks. Johanna is modeled on a sports touring bike, which would not be equipped with the suspension needed to navigate that safely.

>The Bank Palace villain is the only one who doesn't issue a public apology.
Kaneshiro is unknown to the general public, so at most he just turns himself in to the police, who keep him under lock and key afterwards.

>Futaba bugged airwaves at the end of the game without leaving her room and no one backtraced her.
Anime hacking skills, IE literal plot hax.

>No one questions who was pulling the strings after Shido stepped down and Sae told them they were still going to be arrested
There are still other members in the conspiracy (you see some of them chat briefly after Shido's confession) running around pulling strings, there's just no longer a clear figurehead.

Real talk, Zinna was actually handled pretty well. People just like to meme because they think she was speaking literally about the other world scenario instead of figuratively.

I don't like her because she's going doing all this unnecessary bullshit when she could have just come directly to us for help

Pharos is the most forgettable part of the game for me.

>Anime hacking skills, IE literal plot hax.

This whole thing with Futaba just rubs me the wrong way. It felt like a deus ex machina for everything when Futaba joins the group. I don't hate her character, really I don't, but the plot just fucking rode on Futaba's coattails non stop. Makoto to an annoying degree as well with having Makoto do things with Sae and Akechi (literally no one else in the Phantom Thieves helped out in this arc). I digress, I felt the tension was sucked out of the room whenever Futaba did Hollywood hacking. Futaba sleeps for 26 days if you do her Palace, wakes up and does everything in 10 minutes of screen time. Like WTF.

>Kaneshiro is unknown to the general public, so at most he just turns himself in to the police, who keep him under lock and key afterwards.

I know why it happened, it just pisses me off how it was handled. That villain felt the most Inuyasha villain of the week who gives a fuck out of all of them. Ending it without a public confession just put the icing on the cake of shit.

>There are still other members in the conspiracy (you see some of them chat briefly after Shido's confession) running around pulling strings, there's just no longer a clear figurehead.

Which still goes unresolved IMO. Worse yet, one of them has Wakaba's research data up on cloud storage (IT Tech guy says so in the cruise ship). Again, despite how hell bent Futaba is she just lets this go without wanting to get full closure.

Some of the story arcs that you and I probably forgot

Ann mentions she feels like she's met Morgana before (somewhere around the 2nd/3rd/4th story arcs) she drops this line. Sae alludes that it was wrapped up too conveniently at the end of the game. Foreshadowing then cue the credits. And out of all the literal nobodies in the game, Haru's ex fiance Sugimura never gets a questline change of heart in Mementos.

Is her duty

>Sae alludes that it was wrapped up too conveniently at the end of the game.
The explanations I've seen from other anons is that Yaldy manipulates minor things in Joker's favor to keep the 'game' going. In other words, literal Deus Ex Machina.

>Johanna is modeled on a sports touring bike, which would not be equipped with the suspension needed to navigate that safely.
user, it's not a real bike.

I yuuuuuuuuuv Sonic! He's so fast and cooool! He has a yotta fwiends, jus yike meeee! 'Yuuji's jus yike Knuckles, and Ann's just yike Amy! I'm Sonic, though, cus I yike to go fast on my motorbike VROOMVROOM! Ooooooh! Ooooooh! OOOOOOH! I wanna show my Sonic ORIWIGNUL CHAWACTUR! Wanna see?

How did the cops not find it weird to find a Casino where the court should be?

>Which still goes unresolved IMO

I'm pretty sure it does, because even at the end of the game, there's some police trying to tail the group.
