Basically, a group of kids are trapped in a place and they get manipulated into killing each other. It turns a who-dunnit mystery with a different culprit for each chapter. It's a fun game and the twists can be either great or retarded depending on how seriously you take the game.

What do you do in this game? Does it have combat? Is it fun?

It's called Danganronpa. It's had 3 main games, 1 spinoff game and two animes (one adaptation and one original series). It's essentially one of those "death game" setups where teenagers are forced to commit murder and gathering evidence/holding a trial is a big part of it. It's a visual novel so don't expect too much actual gameplay, but the series is well known for its pop-art-esque aesthetic and interesting story involving a cartoony crazy world and themes of talent, luck, hope and despair. And yes, you should be bullied for not knowing it.

You should be bullied like how I want to bully Saionji so much. I want to scold her to tears and throw her into pool. I want to take her gummies and eat them in front of her. Then I'll force-feed her with lemon-flavored gummies, palm after palm. I want to call her a stinky and take her panties so she has to going commando for the rest of the trip. I want to mock her inability to put her kimono by herself, so I'll strip her every once in a while, yelling what one day, she'll be glad to be able to dress up herself. Also, I'll take her kitty hairpins, making her long blonde hair cover her private parts. 1. Free time, you walk around and talk to people, spend time with them, raise relationship points largely for scenes not related to main point.

2. Investigation, walk around finding clues, this is where the point-n-click is most prevalent

3. Class trials, the game turns courtroom debates into a series of minigames depending on whether you're refuting statements or getting into an argument, it's kinda hard to explain. Might wanna check a demo to understand.

If you really enjoyed DR1 and DR2, avoid the anime like the plague. Future arc was an entertaining trainwreck at best, while Despair arc was absolute garbage that ruined everything good about DR2. Just don't fucking do it please.

In the free times event we see characters with backgrounds that Junko could have exploited to made them Ultimate Despairs (Mikan whole hard life, Teruteru's mom, Nekomaru's heart condition, Fuyuhiko's family problems). In the end it was all MINDHACC (The only good thing is that it made Mikan an actual dindu)
