Looks like someone hasn't played Downpour
I have actually, it's not great but it's a damn sight better than 4
2 > 1 > 3 > Downpour > Homecoming > 4
Life is Strange
it doesnt even count as a game really
I'm sure this was devised as a stealth Silent Hill/bait thread, but I'll answer anyway.
The worst game I ever played was Ghost Recon Wildlands. Every inch of this game seems designed to waste the player's time. The game structure is lifted from Crackdown, but you have to do mission strings of tasks that sre facially distinct, but boil down to the same copypaste TPS stealth-em-up outpost-securing covershooting simulators we've had for years now. And there are somewhere in the ballpark of 20 target zones, each needing at least 5 missions to face the target for that zone.
There are a lot more problems with the game: microtransactions, the writing, the premise, the pseudotowers (it is a Ubi game after all), the vehicle controls etc., but that would just get verbose. Fact is, it's shit without ever being entertaining. Not even Sonic '06 and Ride To Hell suffer from that.
shit taste
undertale
Pic related. The animations are so badass and metal, but the gameplay is horrendous. Invisible instant death traps, confusing combat, bugs up the ass, more instant death traps...
Actual pleb tastes.
Nier It's not BAD but it has no reason to be a video game. It might as well be something else. However, then its story/music/art will be mediocre by the standards of any other medium.
Bubsy 3D
You kids won't even know what that is.
You're mum.
Ulillillia's favorite game
youtube.com
bubsy has been memed to death you fag everyone knows about it
not exactly worst but ffx-2 was so fucking disappointing after the greatness that was ffx
But can you deny it is one of the worst games of all time?
yeah I can, there are thousands of much worse games out there. Little Red Hood, Honk Kong 97, Rise of the Robots, Heavy Nova, Big Rigs, 90% of steam greenlight...
Don't play Shadoiwgate or fucking Wizardry 4 then.
I bought Left 4 Dead 2 on release and played it for an hour after liking the first one, it was such a disappointment and one of the few regrets I have.
Too Human
Superman 64
>I bought Left 4 Dead 2 on release and played it for an hour after liking the first one, it was such a disappointment and one of the few regrets I have.
the fuck? L4D2 has all of the content of L4D1, but it has more content. Characters are better, the south of america is a cooler setting and and the characters are cooler. L4D1 has no reason of even existing anymore, absolutely obsolete game.
Vampire Rain I think
Turok 2008
Holy fuck what a flop it was
You're a fucking idiot, I bet you didn't even give it a chance.
Why are Ubisoft so fucking incompetent holy fucking shit
Get this game, thinking it would be like others in the series but 3d. Borderline unplayable hot garbage. 64 had a ton of titles that were borderline unplayable based on good IPs. Earth Worm Jim/Superman etc 64 was a hit or miss platform.
He said at release tard, that shit wasn't in the base game.
A few things broke me, I must have snapped from the hardest difficulties 15 damage slaps after so long, I wasn't into the new zombie variants like the charger, and fill the car with gas was the absolute worst gameplay mechanic for me. I enjoyed the melee weapons though.
>Superman
There are hardly any good Superman games and I'm only saying hardly out of courtesy.
The room was the second best game in the series. 3 on the other hand was a pile of shit
2>4>1>SM>3
>hello i played SH2 first
Yeah, Room was pathetic. Closing TS was like killing Mary after that game
1 is mediocre as fuck in everything but sound design.
You should try SM, it's great.
Fuck you son, Silent Hill 4 is great
A bit excessive with the repeat levels, but it has some of the best spooks in vidya
>Keep wanting to defend SH4 in threads like these
>Remember the tedious as all hell water tower level that always makes me drop the game
This game is actually pretty decent outside of the shite camera and floaty physics.
There is nothing decent about Superman 64. Bad comparison.
Has one of the best stories in the series too
I can't take the game seriously enough to be spooked what with the laughable stock sound effects.
I mean anything after 4 is garbage anyway, and 3 is weak on story so it's top3 without doing anything
What spooks? Burping nurses?
>Crazy maniac kills people to be with his mother, THE ROOM.
Well, that's probably better story in that series, but it only show quality of the series.
You mean the room?
But its way better than most SH games, including origins, homecoming, downpour and book of whatever.
For me it was a game called Trapt, part of the deception series i think. Truly godawful.
I can't think of a real worst game as it's probably some old unplayable shovelware tech demo or broken Steam game.
However, more recently: I really didn't like Lost Planet 3 or Remember Me.
Capcom dollar deals are really the bottom of the barrel.
>Silent Hill 4
>Life is Strange
>Undertale
>FF X-2
If these are the games people are listing as the worst they've ever played then they obviously haven't played very many games at all.
Worst time I've ever had with a game was Life is Strange, the most poorly made one was probably some shitty flash game on newgrounds.
>what spooks
Twin victims, some of the ghosts, the hauntings taking over your safe haven. But of course you're looking for reasons to hate the game so their likely is no arguing with you.
>Crazy maniac kills people to be with his mother, THE ROOM
>little psychic girl gives birth to a demon through Jewish mysticism
>man looks for dead wife in ghost town
>girl with daddy issues gets an abortion
Again it's blatant you're just looking for reasons to whine. The way the story is told has always been a strength of the series
>T. UNDERTALE HOMO LEFTIST MILLENNIAL FAG
fortnite
Same.
Megaman X 6
>implying these games are worse than shit like Big Rigs, Superman 64, E.T. etc.
user, these are just mediocre games that garner undeserved praise not actual " unplayable shit that is universally hated and mocked for how truly broken and awful it is "
Two Worlds
I'll never forget
>It's like Oblivion on steroids!
Skyward Sword might not be the absolute worst, but it's the one I hate the most.
This.
>oh, you liked Gothic and Morrowind?
>this is like those
>clunky " like Gothic "
>not clunky like Gothic
>flat out barely playable in ways that make Gothic's clumsiness feel nice and easy
You're right, it's a fucking shit game.
Any Telltale game.
Probably that South Park fps they released in the 90s. Worst money I ever spent on anything.
sorry, meant X7
League of Legends
the worst experience on my life, i tough that the toxic community was a meme and i wanted to try it out to see if is real or not...
i was so fucking wrong, i guess do you have seen some players fighting each other on some stupid drama on screencaps from the game right? well i had that....ON THE FUCKING TUTORIAL, yes when they put you with some randoms for first time to play against with the most easy CPU players
MOBAS are a mistake
A bladestorm game on PS4. The one where you can make your character a giant. I deleted it after 5 minutes
>What's the absolute worst game you've ever played?
DNF, RDR, TLOU, WoW, DOOM2016
The true worst is undoubtedly some shit on Steam, but as for and actual physical release, it's gotta be Bubsy 3D.
sh 4 got good music good atmosphere even good protagonist only thin that i dont like in it is lack of flashlight and darkness.
I'll fight you. Dresspheres are the best job system.
Fallout 4 without a doubt
I at least had fun with Two Worlds
Mega Man X7, however, wins the prize of worst game I've ever played
Out of all the games I've ever played darksiders was the worst offender. Braindead Zelda puzzles with god of war combat. They literally ripped everything in that game off of a better game. It made me so fucking mad playing it.
For total awfulness: Empire Earth 3
For story alone: Saints row 3 + 4
For gameplay alone: Postal 3
im huge new vegas fag and i hated fallout 4 at first but last week i tried survival mode and it was really good its like whole different game. its still not good fallout game but its best survival game after stalker.
If that is the best you can do for "completely awful" you haven't played much vidya.
Twins are spooky, yes, but it's just one monster while there are many others pathetic shitty monsters. And most ghosts looks like flying hobos, there are even flying grandma, is that creepy? Just because there are some good things doesn't make game good overall.
> the hauntings taking over your safe haven.
Fuck this mechanic and those shitters that spawns near your to bed just to kill you during animation.
> The way the story is told has always been a strength of the series
Not in the room, there is much more depth in sh2, there is some more stuff in sh1, but there is nothing more than "Crazy maniac kills people to be with his mother, THE ROOM".
Also, if sh3 actually had
>girl with daddy issues gets an abortion
It would be a better game.
And
worst game i have played is crackdown
SH1 newfag here, i'm at the hospital 3rd visit,i'm assuming i'm near the end. so question are the characters in the game real? because they feel like ghosts to me, especially the nurse.
Also does Cybil see the monsters?
Die Hard Nakatomi Plaza
Yes, Cybil sees monsters.
Lisa is real or at least was real until beginning of the game.
This. The Room is just not very interesting.
Dark Souls 2
Nothing beats that, even fucking Castlevania 2 or some shit
L4D2 has the worst finales in the game for sure. Also too many "race to the exit" segments for my taste.
>you now realise that it's DR>BREEN because the texture guy held shift when typing Dr.Breen
>Wildlands
Can confirm. Outside of the name, it's not even a Ghost Recon game. It's just a bad open world pile of amateur trash.
worst game I finished is Lords of the Fallen
worst game I played is Deep Labyrinth on the DS
These fucking games really?
Yall nights need to expand if the options in this thread are the worst.
These games are miles above like 80% of the PS2 library.
Yeah the game made a few mistakes with game mechanicsm, but that's the main complaint I see people have. I also have complaints in that regard. I agree that the enemy sounds were not the greatest, but the visual designs are on par with the rest of the series. Backtracking through the same levels with different puzzles isn't any different than the otherworld segments in the game. You are over exaggerating problems in the game like a child, I have never taken any health damage during the animation.
As for depth
>sh1
>Cheryl read a book so you encounter dinosaurs and giant bugs!
>sh2
>James was sexually repressed
>sh3
>Claudias fanaticism fuels the nightmare
>sh4
>Walters at least partially regrets Killing some victims and are represented as monsters or ghosts
>every level you visit is an area that is important to Walter and are places of traumatic events
>as you revisit places of Walters childhood you uncover what exactly happened that made him into what he is now
Sh4 has tons of symbolism and it's story is told in an interesting way. But of course you completely disregarded that because you didn't like some of the game mechanics. I guarantee you probably didn't play past the subway world
Two Worlds.
I don't know how or why it came to be, but you could tell not a single fucking person who made that game actually bothered to play it.
Not the worst games, but two that left a very sour.
I really enjoyed the earlier GBA games for these two franchises, and this mash could have been great, but it just turned into a mini game shitfest.
>Walter regrets
Nice head canon. And if you think SH2 is just about "James was sexually repressed", you should replay that instead of second half of room.
Also,
>Backtracking through the same levels with different puzzles
>different puzzles
You mean bring cat to cat shop and ball to ball shop? There is only one puzzle in that game, with water tower. Everything else is courier job.
Also,
>Cheryl read a book so you encounter dinosaurs and giant bugs!
Yeah, and that makes sense, unlike all those monsters in the room! (except for twins, if i don't mention how good twins were in that shit ocean, i would be wrong, right?)
Fine, add marry being sick and James wanting to be punished for killing his wife and the other characters shit. Sh2 is my favourite in the series, but the room is second. The enemy's actually are explained if you read about them. The twin victims are at least theorized that Walter felt some remorse for killing the twins, the leech things are because Walter was forced to drink water with leeches in it in the water prison.the others except maybe the bugs all have some meaning in relation to Walters past. The information is out there, if you were so inclined to look for it. The games symbolism is as strong as any other entry. If you think the room is weak with its symbolism you are being willfully ignorant.
As for puzzles, yes the room did things differently but many of them aren't bad and require thinking outside of the box. A few of them involve going back into your room and looking out your window at the surroundings, or even the silly chocolate milk one isn't terrible as if you never played the game you likely wouldn't even think of checking your apartment as puzzles in the other games you'd always find what you need in the same level.
The L4D2 map design is waay shitter than L4D. In the first one, the maps are really short but intense with strong choke points. In L4D2, the maps are extremely long and drawn out.
Read where? Explained how? Are you talking about dogs, flying shits, monkeys and wall dudes?
> Walter felt some remorse for killing the twins
Far fetching.
> leech things are because Walter was forced to drink water with leeches
And that's even worse, Alessa at least was 7 y.o. to create those trivial things.
>puzzles in the room
That's not thinking outside the box, did you ever play any real puzzle game, like The Witness or Talos Principle?
Entering hole and coming back is most boring thing in the game. You don't need to think with ring in the forest, cause it's only way. And in the bar game LITERALLY tells you what to do, so you must be on DSP lvl of incompetence.
Only time i stuck in that game was moment with freezer and piece of red paper inside, cause after checking 3 of them and getting nothing, i didn't bother to check all of them, silly me.
>hurr traumatic events during childhood cannot affect someone into adulthood
Also Walter is split into 2 during the events of the room
Why the silent hill wiki of course, I know you'll sperg out regardless as you're looking for reasons to hate this game.
>hurr it's not official!
Prior to the book of lost memories all the symbolism in previous games was left to speculation and nothing of the sort was released for 4 so it's mostly speculation,
silenthill.wikia.com
...
SH4 is the best game in the series.
I pirated Wildlands and couldn't stomach it for more than an hour.
Final Fantasy XIII. There is not a single good thing about this game, it's a fucking shitshow.
Wasn't this the "press some buttons for 5 minutes for 1000 achievement points" game?
>hurr it's not official!
It's worse than not official, it's fucking stupid and far fetched. You didn't need to reach the sky to understand why were Lizard monster and Moth there. Same goes for Pyramid or Abstract Daddy or Twins. Only good monsters without clear origins were in 3, everything else was not weird nor scary, but silly and ridiculous.
>hurr traumatic events
>Hurr he was drinking water with slimes and now they are spooky crawling around you
>Also Walter is split into 2 during the events of the room
And it doesn't change anything in the story, little Walter as weird and unlikable as the big one and only thing he wants is to be with his Mother, THE ROOM.
I'll fockin' knock you into next week for slandering my beloved SH4 mate
I agree, game is shit.
I still love it.
