AoS and DoS sucks dick.

I've been replaying SotN for my second playthrough and I've been enjoying it. For some reason I didn't really like it too much the first time I played it a couple years ago, I think it's just a bit easy with how the bosses seem to do no damage and it's only with the Ares Ring that they even have a chance to kill me.

I've also played through the GBA and DS Castlevanias and I think out of them PoR is probably my favourite, it seems like the best made one with the most to do even if the portraits get rehashed for the second portion of the game. I thought OoE was decent but something about it feels kind of rushed and incomplete, the challenge areas really don't stack up to the Nest of Evil and I would have liked to have seen more enemies/glyphs in the game.

DoS is one of the Castlevanias with a shittiest setting but Julius & Co going after Alucard and the Gergoth LotR fight were pretty awesome.
Balore and the final true boss are pure shit tho.

I think so. LoD has more characters and levels but 64 is worth a playthrough as some of the levels it shares with LoD are different.

I liked all of them. No exception except the LoS series. I really tried to like them but couldn't.

I really enjoyed LoS, but then at the time when I played the game it was the exact sort of thing I was looking for, 3D whip combat and all. Plus the artstyle helped me forgive some of its shortcomings.
LoS was a disappointment before it came out.
