I am making custom cases for my loose games. Got a decent idea for a general case. The idea would be pretty much the same as the image here, But with the console logo ( in this case, super famicom ) would be replaced with different console logos.
I have everything figured out, But I ran into the issue of what I can have to represent the Game Boy. Keep in mind if I use an image of a game boy, I need other handhelds done in the exact same style to keep consistency.

Here is the image of the idea for the game boy. However the case looks a little bland compared to the other consoles.
But having text sideways will allow me to do GBC / GBA easily and the same way.
Any ideas? How would you do it?
Also because this is Sup Forums I need to post bait to get people into my thread, I guess Horizon Zero Dawn is better then BotW, And youtube content creators should share revenue with the gaming companies they show footage from.
Dominic Cruz
this is really cool and there's no way Sup Forums is going to contribute in a meaningful way
prove me wrong

Worth a shot, This core idea reaks of autism anyway, might as well see if people can out autism each other.
Jonathan Bell
It's a lot more OCD than autism. But arguably those are cousins of each other

Nothing constructive to add except to say I like it a lot. Well done.

This, try /vr/. Though I will add, I'm not really a fan of generic fonts being used for the titles, see if you can rip the title screen logo from the game itself and using that instead. Or from the original boxart, whichever works best.
Gavin Green
Was thinking about this, Problem is it isent immediately recognizable at first glance.
Although I still could, But then what for GBA , GBC?
Ryan Roberts
Problem is there are a lot of games here, Many are obscure as fuck nip titles that dont have much info
and I dont feel like scanning them.
Liam Ramirez
Maybe the blue logo instead? That way Color and Advance will match
Matthew Gray
I would have the Gameboy text 90° counter-clockwise, as i would have the boxes stood lengthways
otherwise wouldn't even be the same as the famicon boxes
Jonathan Watson
Sorry, Im having trouble understanding this. I can do a quick mockup if you explain it a little different?
Aiden Martinez
I really liked because the black and white matches the actual games, then the GBC one can be in purple.
good idea though. But I dont think a color swap would fix the empty space issue
Jackson Perry
Not op, but this is probably the best option since the N64 logo is in colour so it's not too far fetched.
Jaxson Jenkins
Ooh yes, this will work. The OG gameboy was aesthetic as fuck.
Let's take Dragon Slayer for example. I'd place the little shield logo to the side, while the middle of the box would have the "Dragon Slayer" from the box. I think it would work nice.
Leo Long
This was similar to my original idea, However I would like to keep my sanity. There are a lot of games to get through, and the time sink of this would be a bit much.
Also, Like i said, I would need to scan the cartridges, As there are many with very little info online. I dont want to scan cartridges. I am open to a different font, But I am picky about uniformity. Thats why i settled on the standard text.
Colton Sanders
at the minute your boxes are flat on the table. I would have them stood on their end. because of this, I would also rotate the Gameboy logo 90°. the famicon logo is already rotated to be read stood on its end
