Which kind of RPGs do you prefer, user? A virgin lone hero, or chad party based RPGs?

Depends.
Party-based games where the protagonist dying mid-combat results in a game over while other companions are alive are bullshit, but most of the time party-based are better.
party based is complete ass. complete ass.
virgin party
Parties, generally.
But lone crawling in a linear dungeon is max comfy
If that's your party in that screenshot you fucking sicken me
parties have the bantz
>dorn
>rasaad
>neera
Just take Hexxat already and make the ultimate cancer group.
Ouch!
I only accept party based games if they have an AI which plays itself. I don't play RPGs to play as someone elses character
Dragon Age Origins was good for this. You could fine tune exactly where and when you wanted the AI to use its spells
How about some Wizardry type thing where you create everyone in the party?
Absolutely not, there is no point in having a party if the characters aren't going to have personalities. This is the reason I still havent gotten more than half an hour into temple of elemental evil
No point in a grand adventure if I can't share it with good comrades
I mostly play RPG's for the party npcs.
agree, no jan and viconia and keldorn replaced by fanfiction.net tier characters
I love interacting with the party. Or see them interact with other things.
The Witcher is mindblowingly boring. And to add oil to the fire Geralt also looks and sounds boring.
same
>Dragon Age Origins was good for this
Everything about it seemed so shit after hundreds of hours in FF12
>Play witcher 3
>Walk into someones house
>They sit there and watch as I loot all their shit
So this is the power of modern "RPGs" eh?
Which is your favorite party members from Pillars, guys?
everyone in the witcherverse have no reason to live
I'm always disappointed if I don't at last get one companion with me in my adventure, makes me wanna kill myself
Sup Forums is one big virgin party
Parties, but with recruitable NPCs who comment on what's happening and my actions rather than self-generated characters who don't react to anything.
name ONE (1) RPG where NPCs react to EVERY SINGLE THING you do. Im waiting.
This.
>always played Baldur's Gate 2 with a solo bhaalspawn
>after having fun with the Planescape Torment NPCs, figure I should give it a try in Baldur's Gate 2
>having a blast with all the dialogue
>then all of a sudden it mostly stops since they've completed their dialogue tree
>they occasionally "interject" in other dialogue which means they repeat what you say in a slightly different way
>at best, you might get a few more conversations, but only during the main quest and even still very rarely
>get bored of having to manage all these useless and now boring NPCs, so I go back to solo
Lone hero is almost always best. The only exception that I've seen is in Planescape Torment since they actually distributed the dialogue and interjections throughout the entire game, rather than having it almost all be within the first ten hours.
>playing that beamdog rerelease trash
you're no chad at all user
Gothic
>Chad
>Good
>stand in front of NPCs face for hours
>they don't do or comment shit
next
unironically skyrim.
You can literally drop an item on the ground and they will pick it up and ask if you dropped it
>steal NPC's clothes
>no shits given
next
real life
>Level up your sneak skills to so you can get away with stealing clothes
Much different from
>Loot an NPCs everything right infront of their face while they make no reaction to it at all
wiz8 characters have plenty of personality since they have voicesets you choose for them
both are good if they're implemented properly, although party based crpgs tend to give a lot more room for error.
I'll take solo hero every time. I avoid party games. It usually means it's slow and boring with too much reading retarded bullshit.
brainlet
If the game is good, then I don't mind either one.
cuck
>Chad
>Not good
Just travel with your love interest in BG2.
Both are great.
How about the chad lone hero?
Just get Imoen mod.
>Chad ever being alone
I enjoy party-based RPGs but it gets annoying having to spend so long managing more than a single person sometimes
he fucks bitches everywhere he goes
So is Geralt a Chad?
The one that starts like the former and ends in the later
he's the chaddiest
You don't know which one?
sacrificing that little hobbit faggot for moar power was my favorite part
>robbed NPC spends the rest of the game walking around naked
you cant make this shit up
What does black/white portrait mean? Temporary companion?
Welcome to Bioware games.
I'm designing a game called Hotfire, what do you think?
BG1/BG2/Planescape all use the same system of dialogue timers and checks, kill yourself dumb larper.
I meant for autitstic virgin to chad party
He wasn't alone.
Solo if character creation is very in depth and has lots of options.Party otherwise.
I like both, but I prefer not having fan fiction tier characters in my group.
>beamdog headquarters
>So guys, we already fixed Jaheira and Safana. How do we fix the most lovable character of the series?
No one likes Minsc.
Eder, a simple bro tier character in a world of wannabe unique and special faggots
Sagani. Cute portrait.
>FF15
>party members constantly falling unconscious and need healing
I like Minsc
this
Virgin boy with a party of milfs
All the possible player character portraits
name one game
Let me correct myself: only meme loving fags like Minsc.
>Dragon Age Origins was good for this. You could fine tune exactly where and when you wanted the AI to use its spells
Bullshit. You could have if(1,2), it needed a 3.
LOL at this party
Eder, the orlan, aeloth, Durance, grieving mother, in that order
Did they change character lines in the enhaced version?
>heard there is a magazine about rpg and baldurs gate
>read it
>Its sequel, Shadows of Amn, upped the ante, giving not only a memorable villain, multiple quest paths, but also more fleshed out characters. The player just needs to look at two of the first recruitable NPCs they stumble upon: returnees Jaheira, who became more than a nagging wife and showed the player a mature, independent warrior woman
>Party Members: Over Six Gorillion
>Party Member Limit:3
>Pic related
I fucking hate shitty rpg games that do have too many members that are useless. Suikoden does it well because some random fucker can fight during tactics battles or run a damn shop in the castle.
Well, I do love memes. Guess that makes sense.
Only in SoD.
Suikoden does it well because they're all unique characters who aren't saying the same lines with an accent generator
Most fire emblems
Do you have any idea just how cucked you are?
even worse. it's only 2 you can swap out til newgame +
i still love cc for other reasons though
If it's fantasy, I prefer a party. If it's sci-fi, I prefer a loner.
>bg, iwd, poe (not for me, but I tried it)
fun with parties
>fallout, underrail
fun by yourself
>shadowrun
not fun with parties, in my experience
>wasteland 2
fun with parties, but also fun with a small party
Turn based tactical RPGs are the best party based games. I still replay the hell out of FFT
WTF is SOD?
Durance is the only one who I remember.
my custom ones
fuck the fags the game tries to give you
I dont understood how to use the Chanter dude, I havent played in a while but whats the point of his "songs"?
A completely new game.
a cucked expansion
Party based is great, I like that you can experiment with different classes without having to replay the game a million times, it's more comfy to go on an adventure with multiple characters, the combat tends to be more complex and interesting.
pretty much anything I can play with my friends
Real life barely qualifies as an rpg. Its over 95% luck.
SoD is when the elf doesn't keep walking
Eder, some of flavor lines had me laughing pretty good
Plus he held down enemies like a champ
buff party and take a few hits in the mage's stead
Chad lone hero, I want to increase my power beyond mortal limits and relying on others will only make me weaker
Extra points if the game recognizes the MC is alone and changes dialogue which never happens in any game
