Is anyone here a hiring gamedev?

Am poor but intelligent
pic is me

>wants to be hired
>doesnt post portfolio

kill yourself

Sure can you program in C?

I wouldn't know, I'd need some way to test out my C knowledge.

Writing C code is easy, it's just a different language.
Making functional C programs is hard because of all the boilerplate code to get it to work with Windows, and the overcomplicated IDEs that compile C.

What code do you write in the most?

That's a no then.

fix your cuck libshit haircut and then we'll talk

Do you have any experience with games? Programs? Have you ever made content for games, whether that be a mod, level(s), whatever.

That's either Jimmy Neutron's hair
Or Donkey Kong's

Risky choice.

Definitely Jimmy.
Kong doesn't have early onset male pattern baldness.

Explain the difference between salt and sodium chloride. I'll hire you if you can.

What can you do?

I DUN LIKE NOT HAVING JIMBLE HAIR

Yes to all.
Not sure what the hardest program I've ever made was.
Probably a barebones WebGL graphics engine, though a certain Roblox script is a close second.
Man, that was a great script, you could put it in pretty much any game to make that game better.

Best mod I made for a game was an Endless Sky mod which fixed the shitty combat. Tried to get it to be made official, but even though the game devs know the combat is shit, they weren't interested.

Best level I made for a game was a fight with giant chess-themed robots in a game where you fight giant robots, it made official levels look like shit.

Big McThanky's from McSpanky's

ITS
SALT

I put one on my fries and the other I'll shove down a nerd's throat before I shove him in a locker.

SODIUM CHLORIDE

Salt is a combination of any rare earth metal and any halogen. Sodium chloride is one specific combination.

Don't let the hobo at the door deny you, enter and let us put our saturated fats inside you!
Or whatever Jimmy's improved slogan was.
>mfw skeeball rejects the new slogan

>claims to be intelligent
>unironically posting wojak in 2017
plot twist, he's actually a retarded memelord.

I can program in C. Give me the job, I have experience with multiplayer only, FPS, and currently Ouya-based game development.
Email me at [email protected]

This is gonna make a fantastic origin story when you and your fledgling dev team become industry titans over the next two decades.

Sounds like you definitely have experience. How'd you feel about making a platformer, or an old school FPS? Is that something you think would be in your scope, with or without a team?

sorry to burst your bubble kid

but if you were intelligent you would already know what to do innately

ergo you are both poor and stupid !

can you make good animations in blender? I might hire you. I need one or two things. Quick work, quick cash

I can hire you for a game of sex

>Sodium is a rare earth metal
dumb wojakposter

Platformers could be fun to do, depending on the engine.
As for old school FPS games, I do know enough about math and netcode to develop them.

Can't do people.
I tried getting into the furry porn industry, I'm shit at modelling and animating people.

>there are actually unemployed people on Sup Forums
get a job you lazy fucks

>Sodium chloride kiddo
No hire

You got alright taste my man. Sadly I know little about programming. Sometimes I work on some Doom levels I'm making, so I try to figure out good level design. I'm a musician myself, would love to do a soundtrack for either a platformer or FPS. I suppose if you're interested we could try talking about something that, atm would be theoretical

I'll give you a job if you can answer one simple question

Why are manholes round?

do free iq tests hold any value?
I've taken around 10 & have averaged 130. low point 117 - high point 141

The only true IQ test is Rick and Morty

Free IQ tests grade on a different scale.
130 is essentially fucking retarded potato tier.

I can't get behind it but it will make me laugh here & there.
so I should be scoring 210 or something?
I have a feeling that I create knowledge. I think I am very smart. you guys make me humble but I always feel like I can beat you.

I think there's a shortage of FPS soundtracks.
It'd be neat if an FPS had a looping soundtrack for scene, but it had multiple different versions which cross-faded as the scene changed.

e.g. a "fighting Nazi Zombies and you're winning" and a "fighting Nazi Zombies and you're losing" soundtrack, both the same but using different instruments and possibly at different octaves; they can be seamlessly cross-faded as the status of the game changes.

Because a circular manhole lid cannot fit through a hole of marginally smaller size at any angle.
A square manhole lid can fit through a hole 29% smaller.

Hmm, not a bad idea, although whether you're winning or losing in an FPS is a little muddy. I take it the soundtrack would modify slightly depending on your health value? Or maybe a monster closet opens up, and it gets a little more intense to highlight that?

No it's because of all the dragon dildos, you dipshit. Get the fuck out of my office.

hole is synonymous with circle

You're fired

shut up :c
it's that e z dude

>Salt is a combination of any rare earth metal and any halogen. Sodium chloride is one specific combination.
Failed chemistry, huh?

If the ratio of health to max health of the combined enemies in an area (including recently killed) is less than the ratio of your health to your max health, you're winning.
Of course, you need to average it out over time, so you aren't constantly jumping between winning and losing music as you heal and take damage.

That's for PvE anyway; it's easier with PvP, since instead of measuring one powerful character versus many lesser characters playing towards a level-dependent objective, you're measuring two equal teams playing towards a clear objective.

>seabear hole
>hole of life
>asscircle

Don't reply to me again.

For PvE that sounds like it'd be quite the task to take on, but it could be done, possibly with some compromise. I imagine certain instruments could play a part in certain songs when a more powerful enemy comes out.
Just as an example, let's say you were playing Doom 2 and it had this kind of dynamic soundtrack. You're fighting Imps, a few Barons, maybe a Revenant or two. The music is intense but it doesn't truly pick up until say, a monster closet reveals a Spider Mastermind. I think that'd also be a good way to do the soundtrack, having certain events change how the music plays out.

if anyone here is serious, look for work on Tigsource, not fucking Sup Forums

>about one new programming job offer per month

ok
