Yeah, I think the Japanese ones might have been a bit too on-the-nose. But any localization that's got some Gaelic in it is a good localization in my eyes.

Yes and no. It just went up earlier today so it's a bit skewed, but it's also a $100 collector's package so losing only to Mario Odyssey and a $20 PS Store Gift Card ain't bad at all. We'll have to see how it holds up tomorrow (it'll probably drop but the question is by how much).

That's a pretty funny question, honestly. A quick google search tells me they set a sales goal of 2 million for MVC:I. That is, back in April. This was before everyone started collectively shitting on it and Capcom can't set a proper sales target to save their franchises anyway. However the name alone seems like it'd be enough to reach at least 1-1.5m copies so it's hard to say whether XC2 will be able to beat it.

I think a lot of eyes have been on XC2 due to it's unveiling and presentation parallel to the unveiling of the Switch so those that might have wanted to play the first two but didn't either because of how niche it was (XC) or because of the platform it was on (XCX) might finally be able to give this one a shot. I'm optimistic. All Nintendo really needs to do is run a TV ad or something and it'd be a free ride. But they probably won't.

I was unsure of it at first too but the more I see it the more I like it. It's got a really clean look (not unexpected from an anime artstyle) which I like. Do you not like everyone or just younger characters? X was similar in that the older characters looked fine (or at least better) while young characters went full uguu~.

Honestly with how badly MvCI bombed in the UK and how it will most certainly bomb in Japan I think XC2 actually has a chance of outselling it. MvCI's only saving grace is the US and things aren't really looking up for it there either.

Anyone with a working pair of eyes can see it's a shitty product. Shit roster, ugly graphics, annoying voice acting, and shitty DLC tactics all plague MvCI. It's got fun gameplay but it's not worth the asking price of $60 plus whatever else you need to pay to get all the DLC.

Well yes, but if you've seen anything relating to MvCI you'd know why. All the characters look fucked up and wrong for some reason, they removed old classic characters in favor of trying to push Marvel cinematic universe characters, DLC bullshit, yada yada yada. Stuff like that. It's an unpolished product and people are mad but it's Capcom so is anyone REALLY surprised?

I'm pretty satisfied with it, yeah.

I mean if you're an Xenoblade fan, these are the best the models have looked design and animation wise. I know they're still not great, but compared to what we're used to they're pretty damn passable.

It's another battle mechanic, yeah. I assume it'll be similar to the tension systems in XC and X (at least at the basic level) but we'll have to see.

Man, I'm so glad they made Rex's pupils smaller. Putting the other tweaks aside that alone makes him a heck of a lot more visually appealing (especially if we are supposed to believe he's hit puberty).
