Why didn't you save her, Sup Forums?

Why didn't you save her, Sup Forums?

Too busy fucking her mother

What's the point of saving her when my 18 inch dick would kill her anyway?

How did ZE fall so far into the deep pit of shit. It’s not fair. The series had potential but ended up flopping.

Life is simply...

Unfair

Two problems:
It's hard to keep surprising fans who've "seen it all" to an extent.
ZTD was made because of fan demand but written for newcomers.

Bump

Its bullshit is what it is

I understand but then VLR should have been the end all be all. It was stupid stringing it out to 3 games since there was a good chance ZTD wasn’t going to be made. Wish that was the case now. The other thing is that, by the 3rd game, the story gets way too caught up in its own bullshit.

The ZE series makes me appreciate single games such as Ghost Trick. That was a game done really well and was a fun enjoyable experience. By the end of it, the story was closed up well enough and it didn’t need sequels and, because of that, I didn’t need to be strung around on sequels. The ideas weren’t milked. The game was made and finished. No bullshit.

It was impossible to save her from the terrible series she belonged to.

I played 999 and loved it. How do the sequels compare? Are they even worth it?

No, please run away while you can.

Without spoilers, I will say VLR is really fun but it’s conclusion depends on ZTD and that is the biggest piece of garbage. Makes me wish VLR and ZTD never existed.

Because Uchikoshi trashed the original script of ZTD because he was writing it for too long and got bored with it.

So instead of a neat bow to wrap up the series we got COMPLEX MOTIVES

I wonder if Project Psync is gonna be any good or has Uchi lost his touch.

You can treat 999 as a self contained story really.

It has a neat and compact ending and the "cliffhanger" can more or less be ignored as it has little impact.

VLR could've been better if the entire game wasn't sequel bait.

you could tell he wanted to do something different in ZTD, so i think there's a good chance it will be good

I think his new game will be trash and I have zero hopes for it. I also think he got lucky on 999 and VLR.

Guess time will tell. Don’t think there has been any new news on his new game since the title reveal.

I was focused on saving someone else.
I'm still trying.

999 is the only good one in the series

...

>MC can't tell he is significantly older, has longer hair and a fucking giant piece of metal in his face
Not even all the bullshit in ZTD could top that for me.

I would have rather saved her

to be fair their brains are working at 1/sqrt(6) their normal speed.

Still doesn't explain how he never saw a reflection of himself when he's constantly around shiny objects and went to a garden FULL OF WATER

how was she and her inspiration the hands down best parts of their respective games?
it's not even close, and it feels like Diana's "route" is the only part of ZTD that had good development, even if it was the start of a whole mess of bullshit

But she lived. In fact, she's the only character who you can say definitely lived 100% because the date of the tape recorder scene at the end of her route takes place after the epilogue and is the most future scene in the story.

What? I thought that part was right before Satoru interrupted her and asked her if she was gonna write a book + the rest of his epilogue. It's been a while though.
But what will red do now without blue?

999 doesn't need a sequel. The 2nd game only exist to set up a third game villain and the 4th game only exist to set up a 4th game villain.

Are you all excited for shin megami tensei: ze4?

>want to go check
>don't have a save at the scene but have one right before the auto scrolling text
>all of the text is unskippable and the credits are too

No year, but probably 2012+. I choose to believe that the satoru we played as continued existing even after the ending somehow

...

the only redeemable of VLR and ZTD is Phi

>ZTD
>Phi
good joke ;_;

Damn, could have missed the fact that it took place after everything else. It was interesting though that it was named "From Within the Cage" and she described herself as the girl stuck in a cage, when all the tips allude to her being the cage/basket (for SELF) Makes me wonder if it's not just referring to her time being trapped in that week and and true Satoru did some shit to trap her/prevent her from altering anything. And the last "who is the one behind you?" ends with the recorder click noise - was she the one saying that? Maybe she realized that SELF was the one behind and he just couldn't stay in that world. I just can't see a way he could escape from his loop.
