Super Sonic can still be crushed. If Mario is using every ability, he would have an invincibility star and a mega mushroom. Step on Super Sonic and that's it.

Invincibility stars are short lived, Super Sonic lasts longer and can be sustained indefinitely. I don't believe Mario with a Mega Mushroom would be big enough to crush Super Sonic either, if he could even catch him, which I doubt he could.
