It costs them less and people can't resell it like that.
Easier and also forces the user to setup and use the eshop/digital marketplace equivalent at least once
I honestly can't remember the last time a manufacture bundle came with a physical game case. I want to say early 7th gen.
The last one I remember was my Darth Vader PSP which had the PSP battlefrount but it was just a shitty cardboard sleeve

The case is equivalent to what they already have out just Mario branded.
So that means it also includes and screen protector.
That said a savvy shopper could get a Switch, Odyssey, and a carrying case/ screen protector for a few dollars less. However you won't get special colored joycons if that is your thing.
I bought the ps4 uncharted 4 bundle and it came with a physical copy. Was really surprised to see that. Still haven't opened the game though.

Yeah, but i mean any real collector would be disappointed to not have a physical copy of the game. Every game collector I know is completely autistic about having only physical copies when possible

By USB standards, a cable any longer than 5m will not function. It has to deal with physics and the expected response time between the two ends.

Yes, but then keep in mind that the contact between the two cables creates some resistance, which can negatively impact charging time.
