EU is still canon, just a different timeline. One of the head dev guys confirmed that the Volunteer isn't killed at the end of the game, just teleported away. I doubt he would have mentioned anything if they didn't plan on revisiting that version of the universe.

Asura could take them on, but hed probably destroy most of the planet in the process, if he has to get serious.

Optimus Prime could do it. Does our leader have to be human? Kirby definitely couldn't lead anyone, but he could totally kill all the aliens along with a ton of humans since his games mostly consist of him murdering his way through the peaceful inhabitants of pop star.

That's very easy then, just pick somebody that is incredibly powerful on their own and can wipe the aliens out with ease.
Not really. Aside from his suit, assault rifle and magnum(my canon loadout for him), he has none of the tech from the games, and he doesn't have cortana.

Its no fun if you pick a character that is stupidly powerful. Its not fair for the aliens. Pick someone that can inspire hope in our troops as they fight the alien menace. Like pic related.
