Are you guys going to get the game? Asian version or Japanese version? Deluxe or standard? Digital or physical? Drum or DualShock 4?
Favourite song in the game's playlist?
Demo is available on Japan's PlayStation Store, but you need PS+ for it. You can activate a free 2-day trial by going to Settings > Application Save Data Management > Saved Data in Online Storage and use the first option. It's in English as long as your system language is. This might mean the Japanese version will have English text.
Never played Taiko before. Is it decently playable with a standard controller? No way am I paying import tax and customs on the real controller.
Owen James
Yeah, face buttons for the red notes and shoulder buttons for the blue notes. I played on 3DS and Vita, so I've pretty much only used the controller except the few times I went to arcades. You can try the demo if you're interested, there are 6 available songs and apparently it'll only be playable until the 9th of October.
Parker Carter
I pre-ordered the JP version with the drum months ago
>This might mean the Japanese version will have English text. The japanese verison will have english text
Jack Gray
The Asian (Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.) might not have the same tracklist as Japan does. People thought that only the Asian version will have English translation but the new demo showed otherwise.
So there's no reason to get the Asian copy now.
Lincoln Roberts
>needing English in a rhythm game
Ian Myers
holding off for the switch version since the PS4 tatacon looks kinda bad and I'm still not past the wall at 9* charts on 3DS/WiiU
I prefer control scheme B where the inner face buttons are the red notes and the outer face buttons are blue. that way I can just use my two thumbs as if they were drum sticks and play patterns just like I would in an arcade.
since when was taiko time linkable? I always had to do bullshit to get around the spam filter.
Dominic Scott
Is the switch even going to get a tatacon because I'm not sure about that
Carter Thomas
it was shown alongside the tales series for "Switch support" but thats all we know
Jason Hernandez
>favourite song? it doesn't have my absolute favourite song youtu.be/l7Fk-pEbnIA so I guess I'm hoping the Kemono Friends OP is fun. or I could just stick with the classic Linda Linda
switch takes bluetooth controllers so it's not like there's anything preventing it.
Nolan Carter
>switch takes bluetooth controllers so it's not like there's anything preventing it. I was under the assumption that it was getting a unique Tatacon. If the differences between the two are superfluous I'd probably still just pick it up on the PS4 as opposed to on my switch.
Caleb Richardson
I use Type B too, I think that's the default for 3DS and Vita.
Jacob James
What songs are in the demo?
Lucas Bennett

Brody Morris
what would convince namco to allow online AC Taiko outside of SE Asia?
Brandon Sanchez
>Tsunagare! Hinogare! Uchi-agare! (つながれ!ひろがれ!打ち上がれ!) >Saitama 2000 (さいたま2000) >Carmen Prelude (カルメン 組曲一番終曲) >Heaven and Hell Overture (「天国と地獄」序曲) (in-game as Overture from 'Orpheus in the Underworld') >EAT'EM UP! >KAGEKIYO

Loved the arcade game when i was in japan, will probably buy this one as a result. Hope they have best song youtube.com/watch?v=vxyFUik6_Pc
Hunter Garcia
The new season starts today, right?
Caleb Long
Looks like it does.
Caleb Richardson
Guess I'll fire up my jp account for the demo tomorrow. Not sure where I stand on buying the game though. It's kinda expensive and I'm not sure whether I'll like most of the songs.
Is there a master song list of what comes with the base game? I also hope it has a good amount of dlc songs.
James Ross
Well I got the 100% glowy thing on Tsunagare! Hinogare! Uchi-agare! so I guess there's not much to do until it releases. Shame about dlc gouging.
Aiden Baker
> People thought that only the Asian version will have English translation but the new demo showed otherwise. So the JP version has subtitles, too?
Ryder Parker
It defaults to system language which is nice.
Austin Ramirez
>really really really want to get more into this series >those import prices >not that it matters because pre-orders are out everywhere >live in the 3rd world so a huge risk of being over taxed
Yeah, but I've been playing 9*s on vita in preparation. It's a good map.
Jaxson Harris
I can't wait for pic related to show up at my doorstep
Jason Moore
this is fanmade right?
Luke Wright
of course...but i can't even imagine if this ever did made it into the game...
Joseph Russell
I love in Tokyo. Give me 5 reasons why I should buy this instead of just going to the local arcade to oogle cuties while slamming back strong zeros and playing with maibacchi.
Jackson Garcia
idk why would you buy any arcade games if you live next to one
Hunter Baker
literally no reason, I live in a country where there isn't a single Taiko machine though.
Jaxon Nelson
This is so fucking hard.
Ayden Davis
that anime was so dumb >people don't recognize each other because of a mask or a different hair style/clothes
are japanese admitting that they arr rook same?
Tyler Nelson
>continuous stream of alternating red and blue notes >still fuck up
I always screw it up when I think too hard, like "where am I supposed to look"
Xavier Peterson
>going really well in Oni >brain decides to confused blue and orange in a slow section
Chase Reed
>Actually making people play a rhythm game on their laggy ass input delayed TVs >Not just playing the taiko mode on osu
I will never understand you fucking niggers, Give me 1 good non-strawman argument as to why you dont just play osu?
Adrian Powell
I did play Osu, it's controlled by an autistic cirlcejerk of weebs who don't approve maps from people they don't like.
Joseph Young
redpill me on this input delay thing
I'v only played video games on TV or handhelds
Eli Wood
looks like 2 players are the maximum allowed for multiplayer. could've sworn I saw a 4 player taiko before.
Levi Reyes
sometimes I just forget which buttons hit what notes mid-combo
Christopher Hall
Because if you're gonna be that genuinely autistic about things people do you dislike, why not play arcade rips like iidx and pop'n music emulation?
Kevin Butler
Because I already do and also have a Round 1 in the area but there are no Taiko AC rips that work
Lucas Gutierrez
I really want this game, I think the Taiko series is up there in my list of favourite series and definitely my favourite rhythm game series but I've only ever played them while having access to all the games in one place. So when I play 3-4 songs in one game and dont like the rest it didn't matter but now I'm paying $80-90 I'd be mad if there are no songs I like. Do you guys really like most of the songs or are there some categories you just skip?
Robert Bell
The demo has english subs, will the full japanese version have them aswell or should I preorder the asia version?
Luke Carter
there aren't many songs I actively dislike, that's good enough. Even if you don't like a song you might enjoy the map.
