Beta was ok. People mostly complain about roster. As Versus game, it hardly has much wrong with it.
My copy is still shipping, so can't comment on full release, but I played every beta since japanese closed one.

Tho it's really got DLC heavy fast, you already have 5 out and 5+ more announced, 5$ a piece.

it's same as base japanese version as I know. it's just japan got also premium sound release which got way more music as far I know, so there is not a lot of it in base release. at least zero vocal ones I think that's for sure

Filthy South American here, I can tell you some region-based complains.

The pre-order DLC codes never came. The game was released yesterday and not a single store that I know of has the codes, so people who preordered are fucked.

Also, there are many untranslated names and random text and you can't access the in-game psn store and log in

Seems like a very fun game and an excuse to use my fighting stick more. I even have a friend I could match myself with, but full price just doesn't seem worth it. We'll wait until it goes down to 20€ or so.

This is my first gundam vs game and i’m Enjoying it a lot. I think my only problem is the game does the worst job possible explaining shit. The move lists only say generic shit like “push square for beam rifle “ when most of the suits have way more complicated move sets.

There are totally vocal ones in the NA release. Just not a ton. Off the top of my head I can think of:

Rhythm Emotion
Ignite
Daybreak's Bell
G no Reconguista
Raise Your Flag

It throws me off that those are all in, but things like Men of Destiny, Silent Voice, and Turn-A-Turn (or even Century Color) aren't. Hell, Silent Voice and Anime Ja Nai were even in the NA release of Gundam vs Zeta Gundam back in the day.

This is the thing that bothers me the most. My brother wanted to play split-screen with me, but NOPE! That's not an option anymore!

It's pretty good OP. Roster isn't as good as ex vs fb but the game is solid. And ground pounding boost speeds up the game a ton

I keep forgetting that all units have this now. I really need to use it more. Although I'm getting a new stick. What's the command to do the quick down boost on stick, since you only have one analog?

don't listen to the spergs on /m/ who just want to bitch so they can low key brag about their imported Jap game having a bigger roster or whatever. it's a solid awesome Gundam game with a high skill ceiling and well over 90 mobile suits that actually all play differently. I can't compare it to the previous games like some of the incels on /m/ but as someone who really liked Gundam Vs Zeta Gundam on PS2 this hits all the right notes with me.

even if you aren't huge into Gundam there's no real story to it so if you are new to the franchise and know nothin of Gundam it works as a cool 3d Virtual On esque fighting game with cool looking robots. it's a good place to jump in.

for me personally most of my favorites are there but Gundam fans will notice some wierd omissions that are clearly being saved for DLC. the base roster is huge however.

I have Full Boost mystelf, but Versus has some nice features, such as actually being able to find people with decent lag and being able to play ranked without insta disconnect as soon Japanese see your connection.
Also Versus has grunts, and mah boy Guncannon. It validates switching to Versus from Full Boost for me more than enough.

It's lacking in this. Only a trial mode, survival mode and boss rush mode. And of course free battle.

Guess ill pass then. Heard it doesnt even have local multiplayer.

Even if it was a bit laggy like the ps3 ones i would have taken it. Local on this was so fun.

Apparently Canada is it's own region and most u.s players will play on local area and not worldwide so some Canadians have an us account just to be able to connect to them off world mode since theres some reports of 30 min wait times for ranked.

dont listen to this guy, there's an unlock tree for all 90+mobile suits, trial mode has ten different multi branching mini campaigns and survival mode has random online challenges that pop up and allow you to compete for more points you can upgrade your suit(for the duration of that run) with. theres a ton of single player content there if you want to dive into the roster.

no local multiplayer is a bummer though

yeah I have yet to connect to a Ranked match but casual I get all the time no problems.

Most likely not. There's really not much single player content aside from a survival mode and an arcade mode.

Its gr8 for ppl who enjoyed musou, also if u ever go online theres a coop pve mode that gets pretty bonkers.

which musou has similiarities tho, but musou it's own subgenre of brawler

It's not hard to be better than Build Fighters Try, but GB3 does have a good story, independent of that comparison.

It's a lot more enjoyable than a regular musou though. Combat is a lot deeper thanks to being able to have different weapons and guns and 4 special moved plus a super special move
