Post your experiences as a gamer in the third world

How difficult is to afford vidya where you live?

the average american househeld

/thread

South America maybe.

Easy in Eastern Europe
t.neet living with parents

I have an account valued at over $1000 all gifted, I bought my "GPU" about five years ago which runs PUBG at 14 FPS, I have a GW2 account with both expansions and Overwatch. It's hard but if you meet the right people and you're not an insuferable cunt then they'll have your back. I'm from Venezuela, people here only play LoL, DotA 2 and CS 1.6 non-steam, it's kinda hard to find friends to play with, specially irl.

more like underaged beta.

shouldn't you be at work wagecuck?

nigga just pirate shit lmao

this
if the government has fucked the economy and don't care about people's standards, are they really going to care about some basement dweller downloading a couple of games?

Min wage = 9$/day
Vidya = 60$

Thailand here

I have a steam buddy from Lithuania and he has told me some interesting stories. No modern consoles just ps2, xb360 and a average pc.
He is underage though so I guess he is doing okay for a 13-14 y.o

Min wage = $.7/h and dropping here in Venezuela.

What does he play?

>live in land of hue
>every physical game costs over 200 dilmas
>Nintendo bailed from the country so there's no eShop and all games are imported, costing more
>games on PSN costs as much as physical
>consoles so expensive that costs +3 monthly payments
>fags in the government want to censore all sorts of media including games that have any sort of reference to religion

It kinda sucks

How do you still have internet? Thought you have rolling blackouts?

I'm from Mexico

I have a Gtx 1070 and got a Switch at USA

Steam prices are cheap

Internet is slow as fuck but I'm on mobile data. It's not as bad as people say it is... works on my machine

Damn, that's shit.
also
>"all sorts of media including games that have any sort of reference to religion"
How arsed are they about this? Would something like a cross / other symbol tip them off?

Aren't steam games cheap in BR?

Basically anything that references religion whatsoever (obviously talking about christianity but anything else also applies) must be censored, movies need to have warnings about such content. I'm pretty sure they think that God is the answer to unfuck this rotten country

There's that. Bethesda games are the exception - while 50-60 dollars games cost between 99 and 129 reais, Bethesda games are usually 250 reais (season passes cost >100 as well), in all consoles and physically as well.

The other day I was comming back from New Delhi, and a guy sat next to me and started talking. Eventually we ended up talking about videogames because I was playing with my 3DS (inb4 bing bing wahoo), and he said he had a Play Station. I said I didn't have a PS, but I liked a lot Dark Souls. He said he didn't know the game. Eventually I realized he only had a PS2. How sad desu.

>when religion begins affecting peoples' interests and hobbies

>Protectionism is a good idea
Yeah.

My first console was one of those 1000 in one consoles with like 12 nes games and the rest just repeat. It was awesome the worst part of that shit though was that they always had a photoshopped picture like this on the cover since the movie was just out along with the game console art and some other shit but you never got a spiderman or batman game. At the time I thought it makes sense theres no way they could make games like this on this thing but later I would find that there actually were spiderman and batman games on the nes one of those which was pretty good, fuck them for not including them

Looks like Bethesda games are expensive in every country

Evil Within 2 is $60 in Mexico

im a pajeet. games are ridiculously expensive here and so pretty much no normal person buys them unless its some cheap shit on steam. All gamers here just get a decent PC and then pirate everything. Absolutely no one owns consoles here either because every game costs 1/8th of your monthly salary.

>tfw Canadian
>tfw new games are $79.99 + tax which normally comes up to around $95

>tfw second world
>can pirate any game that comes out within a week

What country?

Bulgarian ESSR

Canada isn't third world
