Tfw the inevitable N64 Classic won't include Banjo Kazooie/Tooie

>tfw the inevitable N64 Classic won't include Banjo Kazooie/Tooie

Such a fucking shame, since it's such a huge part of what made the console's library so great. A glaring omission.

That being said, what games would you like to see on the N64 Classic?

No, both those games are annoying nostalgia bait collectathons with grating audio.

Why is having nostalgic games a bad thing? Especially on a collectable console that's literally selling itself on nostalgia?

It might since Microsoft was willing to give the Switch Minecraft. They'd just get a nice chunk of royalties.

Because the console is a stupid idea too

Quality meme, kiddo.

In the case of the NES classic and to a lesser extent the SNES classic I'd agree, but I can totally see the value in it being a great 4-player local multiplayer machine.

Especially when you factor in that you'll be able to get four brand spanking new controls with sticks that haven't been destroyed by years of Mario Party antics.

Iwata went out of his way to use as much legal bullshit as possible to nuke the Goldeneye remaster, Rare games without Nintendo wallpaper don't exist in their eyes

????

>grating audio
fucking this

>yfw the controllers have the same shitty analog stick

Makes me wonder what the actual list will look like. Rare was such a huge part of the N64-era, and to only include fucking DK64 of all things (not that I hate that game as much as some do) would be a fucking travesty.

Nintendo is stubborn as fuck, but they're gonna have a hard time selling it without all of those classic titles.

Who am I kidding, people will eat it up anyway.

You're right, an N64 Classic shouldn't appeal to nostalgia at all.

The real question is if it will have pic related on it.

There's no fucking way they'd build it the same way. Hopefully it's a modern stick but with the proper range.

You'll be able to hack it like the NES and SNES classic.

>fucking DK64
That game is a dark history to me.
Never managed to beat it thanks to the fucking Nintendo coin, a hard requirement to access the final boss, being blocked by the DK arcade.

Why would you play it on n64 when it came out on PC with better everything?

No one remembers the N64 for it's 3rd-party games, half of which were shitty ports that were better on the Playstation/PC, standard licensed stuff, and sports games. It'd have to be Nintendo/Rare stuff if you want what people ACTUALLY laud the N64 for, which is unfortunately Nintendo stuff that's been on the VC for years, and Rare games, no one bought an N64 for anything other than the Nintendo experience

One of Iwata's arguments over the Goldeneye remaster was that he wouldn't accept the fact that one system (360) would have the clear advantage over theirs (Wii), and with Night Dive's superior Turok remasters out in the open, they probably wouldn't even bother, especially since Turok would bump the rating out of Christmas present territory

>NES mini had 30 (+0) games
>SNES mini has 20 (+1) games
>N64 mini will have 10 (+2) games
>GC mini will have 0 (+3) games

Blastcorps.
All Turok games.
Mario Party 1

Never ever. If you support this mini shit, Nintendo will NEVER release a new Virtual Console, you fuckers.

...

a good part of those 30 games are shit. Do people really feel nostalgic enough about baloon fight and ice climber to buy a NES mini? You're talking about 30 games but besides the ones I mention it has Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr, PacMan and mario bros. Most of these are NES ports of early 80's arcade games, while being good for their time, they just feel like they don't belong. Give me the 21 snes mini games any day.

Then why are you complaining when you're a person that will never buy it anyway?
Get a life

What he did was interpolating though, that's the exact opposite of what this comic describes

>balloon fight
Well, if, then only for Iwata.

>autists will pay for the same circuit board with the same old ROMs for the third time in a row

lmao

>Not buying it for a richly coded N64 emulator
>Not buying so you can play on an HDTV without your eyes bleeding
>Not buying it for a high quality controller which analog stick won't grind to dust

Sega Saturn Mini WHEN

>playing early 3D games
>without your eyes bleeding
Classic frogposter.

I don't think There will be an n64 mini

N64 emulation blows and the controllers would be too expensive to produce. I doubt Nintendo will make an n64 classic.

An N64 mini doesn't make any sense without Rare. I mean, they're obviously not gonna have Goldeneye, but all their other games are a must.

Sega can't even make a proper Genesis mini.

>N64 emulation blows
From people that AREN'T Nintendo. They did a good job with the Wii and Wii U VC, and will surely do fine here too.

Guess again

Bomberman 64
Doom 64
F zero x
Kirby 64 the crystal shards
Mario kart 64
Mario Party 3
Mario tennis
Mystical ninja starring Goemon
Paper Mario
Pokemon stadium
Quake 64
Resident evil 2
Snowboards kids
Starfox 64
Star wars rogue squadron
Super Mario 64
Super Smash Bros
The legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time
The legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Turok 2
Wave race 64
Yoshis story

They don't even need to make a perfect emulator, since they have limited games they can tailor settings specifically for each game and no one would know the difference.

No, he did not. Interpolation would be finding a new data point between two known ones.
Extrapolation is finding a new data point outside the known ones, which is precisely what he did.

>Muh graphiks

Smash and OoT is all it needs to make me pre-order

Why bother when Chinese bootleggers already did that for you?
Except for the 'proper' part.

Resident Evil 2 was impressive only because they managed to pull it off on N64.
It's still one of the worst ports and as such is better left forgotten.

Pokemon stadium would be a nice touch too but i doubt it would be possible unless you could connect your 3ds with the system to transfer pokemon from the r/b/y vc games. I would happily take pokemon snap either way.

I want mini-gamecube!

Wait a second, the N64 had a Resident Evil game?
Might be because it was never sold in Germany, but that's the first time I hear about that.

That one is called Wii mini.
You have to buy the games separately, though.

Yes, and it's pretty expensive nowadays.

So nintendo can sell an overpriced HD Retron but when anyone else does it's cancer.

>It's still one of the worst ports
It had analog movement at least.

>Wii mini
What's the fucking point?
You cant plug the gamecube controllers into it, and it has no ethernet.
A used Wii in good condition costs $50 anyways.

If you own a xbox 360, (if don't, buy one, faggot, they are cheap), you should get perfect dark hd, banjo kazooie hd and banjo tooie hd.

Guess Nintendo fans were 10 years ahead of the rest when it comes to inability to adapt to a simple control scheme.

Sources? Because from what I understand MGM stepped in hard trying to shoehorn in Daniel Craig and Activision being lazy with the development that really fucked the game over.
