dell 7757 with the ips panel 1050ti version best bang for your buck
>gaming on a laptop
Exit my board immediately, sir.
You wouldn't game on a laptop
Seriously just get a desktop
you wouldn't game on a laptop
Laptops are for work and study.
I got an HP Omen
It works
Just don't slam your hand on the keyboard or you'll break the hard drive

>laptop
Unless you get a USB keyboard it's rip keys
Just look at whatever Asus is in your price range and use common sense so you don't accidentally choose a 3 year old model.
Don't buy a gaming laptop. Laptops only last a few years before they start to crap out so you really shouldn't be spending more than $500 on one unless you're rich.
I have an asus something, don't even know it's name.
Pretty happy with it, came with a gtx 960m. runs the games I play decently, but unless you plan on moving a lot, you should go for a regular desktop and a thinkpad on the side.
Thanks user.
Although I'm having trouble finding that exact model. I found an Inspiron 7000 series on ebay for $729 with a 1050.
I've been checking out the MX150 too, which looks pretty cool, I like its efficiency. I really want something that's basically an ultrabook, with a long battery life and switchable integrated graphics, but that can pump out some performance when I need it and plug it in, etc.
I realize that's a tall order. I don't mind paying a little more for that. But I am planning on moving a lot, I'm a recent grad still looking for a job and just want to be able to game while I'm on the road interviewing & shit. I'm sick of leaving my desktop at home.
However I did build my rig for
if you have too much money to spent you can get a custom 17' or 19' laptop with desktop grade hardware for around 2.5k
plenty of companies everywhere that build them for you with as much stuff as you want in them
of course you get the same level of hardware for only 1.5k if you would buy a desktop
get a dell with a 1050 ti or if you can afford it go for a 1060 model. avoid anything with U after the CPU model.

Typing off this currently. Storage is small, but upgradable, and it can play any game from 2014 at high settings 60 fps for the most part.
I own a desktop too but this thing is super convenient for playing the odd source engine game or moba on the go. Gets hot when playing stuff like killing floor 2 and overwatch though.
Gaming laptops are for rich people.
Go hard or go home. gtx 1070+ or bust.
My MSI laptop has a 1070 in it, fuck ya'll who claim laptops aren't for gaming.
There's literally a laptop general AND a pc building general on Sup Forums at all times
As an owner of a gaming laptop, I'd really recommend otherwise. You can spend $1000 on one that barely runs rocket league at 60FPS, sure.
At that rate, you can get a $400 laptop that's still fast as fuck for normal browsing and college work, while using the leftover $600 to build a mid tier PC with significantly better specs than any gaming laptop near that price point
Also, to those recommending gaming laptops with newer/high end graphics cards, check the clock speed of the CPU on those options. Odds are there will be a significant bottleneck there, making that nice GPU almost pointless
why Sup Forums so old minded?

>there are people who will spend $8k on a device that will be obsolete in 6 months
if money is not an issue asus rog, alienware and razer are good machines to consider, but please beware this
MSI. Good bang for your buck and the customer service are fucking legit.
Gayman laptops are great if you move around a lot for work or travel. Good luck taking your desktop with you overseas.
Most busses/planes have on-board wifi now too, having a laptop cuts down on long travel times heaps.
That board is stupid slow. OP wants an answer NOW.
After having to use a gayman laptop for several years I can say it's not worth it unless you plan to spend over 3k+ in one you won't need to change for years.
