this, I don't get it. The protagonist doesn't speak and the whole game is just you solving puzzles, it'd be a bit boring to watch honestly. At least with Half Life things actually happen. Portal 2 has things going on I guess, but the plot isn't exactly exciting.

Portal is a fucking retarded idea for a movie. The games are built entirely around a gameplay gimmick, it would never translate to a movie aside from maybe some gimmicky action scenes.

How so? Half-Life has a fairly coherent story that could be made into a movie, a lot of characters, and the narrative isn't completely tied to the gameplay, unlike Portal. What do you imagine a Portal movie to look like?
