what's Sup Forums playing on this lonely Wednesday night?
FFX here. First final fantasy game ever for me.
Not far in at all but it's pretty cool so far.

If it's your first Final Fantasy you are going to love it mate
I like sucking meaty testicles and tonguing cow urethras.
...
Be sure to listen to talk to that lady a couple of times to hear that ridiculous song.
Also I hope you stayed away from the summoner, you bad man
Going to take a shower and go to work now. Enjoy FFX.
not playing anything. i was thinking of getting a ps4 but all the games i want were disappointmnts
mgsv
fallout 4
ffxv
itll start snowing soon. i want something comfy, not a 300$ disappointment. i might reinstall ffx
thankyou user. I work pretty early tomorrow but I am horrible about getting enough sleep.
thanks, user. Is X-2 worth playing after? I've heard mixed things. I bought them in a bundle on steam for like $15 or something.
mgsv and f4 are better on PC anyways
also f4 really isn't that good desu.
>pic related I had similar thoughts while playing through fallout 4
Since you're not far into the game I highly suggest emulating the game instead of playing the garbage remaster.
my laptop isnt good enough to run mgsv or f4 and i dont wanna spend 600 dollarydoos to play two mediocre games
i might reinstall icewind dale or bg2. old valve is comfy but i like immersion.
new vegas mght do the trick but i played it to death already
my friends are really pushing divine divinity 2 but i cant stand brainlet worldbuilding
how come? If it's the music, there's a setting to change it to the original tracks. I'm liking the rerecorded ones tho.
I bought the steam bundle so I may as well play it on steam
if you're looking for some decent, deep, timesink rpgs that can run on laptops check out some roguelikes. I love them. Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup and poschengband are my two personal favorites. The /rlg/ thread on /vg/ is a great place to start.
x2 is awful. i think there were clearly smart guys on the team ad i bet the initial docs were great but it is thoroughly awful. definitely the product f board meetigs rather thn design.
it comes with a job system roguelike which is worth playing if you have a long list of podcasts to listen to
that's pretty funny cause I also listen to podcasts while playing roguelikes. Mostly Norm Macdonald Live
X-2 is bizarre, I really have no better word to describe it. It's a massive tonal shift from the one you're playing, but at the same time is has some great gameplay and minigames. The story is kinda shit, and it's pretty goofy a lot of the time. Basically a game where the main characters are K-pop, or J-pop, stars.
The gameplay might legitimately be the best in the series depending on taste though, I personally think it's without a doubt the best implementation of the ATB system in the series.
not as big of a fan of roguelikes as i was of square rpgs or infinity engine games.
i like immersion so rpgs or deus ex and ss2 type games are my favorite. ive had very little to pkay lately since bioware and obsidian ave lobotomized themselves
X-2 is a well-designed game mechanically, but the plot is basically a parody of itself. If you value gameplay over story, and can avoid taking said story too seriously, it is worth playing.
ever play E.Y.E?
Also I've played a bit of West of Loathing recently cause I loved KoL. It's really funny, very fun, cheap, and will run on any toaster.
Trying to play Legend of Grimroxk but I can't bring myself to play for more than 5 minutes because of these annoying fucks
looks spooky desu
Golf Story, the cemetery hidden course is kicking my fucking ass.
Best I've done so far is get to the final hole with one stroke left
I've actually been playing (pirated) No Man's Sky. With mods and self-imposed challenges it's a decent time killer.
Playing through Trials in the Sky Second Chapter; just beat the 1st game on my Vita and trying to plow through this one. I've never played the series before and just picked it up on a whim. I'm pretty addicted.
I'm just hoping that I'm not a huge disadvantage on the 3rd game on Steam since I can't import my save.
You forgot to add that Al Bhed need to be all dead, praise be to Yevon.
Is it the most recent version? Have the updates helped the game at all?
...
Should this bother me? Keep in mind i have no nostalgia for the game whatsoever
Yes, the model has fewer polygons and in motion the facial animations look really bad in the remaster.
I put about 2 hours into the first trails game and then never played it again.
Im not sure why it didnt click with me because i remember enjoying it.
They've helped a couple of things but not nearly as many as I would like. The core gameplay is still a slog. I have to use cheat engine at a minimum of 2x speed at all times, with a mod to speed up most actions and I still feel compelled to increase the speed even further.
I feel like its not worth installing a ps2 emulator and replayimg the first two hours of the game sadly. The old textures to look nicer, admittedly.
Fast forward mode makes it quicker. Up to you though, the new animations look so bad to me.
Sounds painful.
What a disappointment that game was/is
10 gets a lot of flak but it has an interesting story and a great battle system.
If you enjoy it I'd say try 6, 7 and 9 after, in whatever order you'd like.
Just beat M&L Paper Jam and I've never felt more empty from beating one.
Talk about a phoned in experience.
