playing old world blues and there's just too much combat. clunky and tedious.

new vegas feels like an unfinished game. i like it overall but im kinda baffled by how it has become such a cult hit. just thinking about how bland the new vegas strip is frustrates me.

seems overrated considering it's a game that was hastily assembled using existing assets. the world is seriously underdeveloped. i think the quests are ok but ive never played 3/4 so i dont have a point of reference.

To play Devil's advocate, Gamebryo is fucking terrible, and Obsidian(a team that before NV had zero experience with it or shooters) had 18 months to make a complete game. That's not easy to do, and the bulk of the game had to reach into the Van Buren well to fill things out.

By no means is NV perfect, far from it. But the people who like it fucking love it. Also, saying that you don't get how something becomes a cult hit is kind of the point. There's a reason Mallrats fucking flopped hard in theaters

OWB is the worst in terms of enemy spam & combat gauntlets. dead money is probably the best.

It is shandified unlike Bethesda's shitshow that was Fallout 3, in fact NV put 3 to shame considering it took half of the development time and is better in every way.

im not blaming obsidian but the game is absolutely unfinished. i can understand people liking the game overall, i myself do, but acting like it's one of the greatest games ever seems like circle jerk bs.

We really aren't acting like it's the Citizen Kane of video games though. We're often having discussions then having to defend out viewpoints, which of course on Sup Forums gets absurd.

I just want to point out, that Fallout New Vegas fandom isn't exactly small. On steam it's comfortably the most popular Fallout game(from a user recommendation perspective)

I wouldn't say thriving, just comfortably consistent.
It goes along steady because it's a good game, not because it's the flavor of the month flavor of the year, I should say for attention-seeking modders.

Went to the legion fort and everyone was hostile to me so I had no option but to kill them all with melee and all I had to do was use a lot of chems to do it.
