What kind of game do you want that doesn't exist?
>fps horror game that takes place in the snowy wilderness
>you can use various hunting oriented weapons like shotguns, bolt action rifles, large caliber revolvers against enemies
>comfy safe rooms you can walk around in
Games that you want but don't exist

Amazing vidya ideas are a diamond dozen, 95% of the work is executing it.
1
>it's probably been done in a shitty way
2
>the people who would steal the idea would make it and execute it in a shitty way
I have no worries other than the fact that I'd die without ever making any vidya.
bump
battle royal on more games.
some already have good maps like stalker. hd remake battle royal? yes please.
it's called "the long dark"
I just want a game where all you do is open loot boxes for items to a nonexistant game.
Comfy, open world Japanese school sim with dating features and you get to live at school etc. I'd kill for such a game. I even thought about making my own one but I was too lazy and stopped after a bit
never gonna make vidya anyways, too lazy and depressed not autistic enough well at least the good type of autistic
Horror/Action game where YOU hunt down and kill mythical creatures like the Sasquatch, Chupacbra, Jersey Devil, etc.
Basically a modern day Van Helsing.
Shit game don't fall for it
>JRPG set fully in prehistoric times
They're not fully set, but Chrono Trigger and Live A Live had prehistoric sections
Just play Purseowner
>diamond dozen
Saturday Night Slam Masters 3, with EVERY wrestler character to ever appear in a Capcom game.
I'm currently emulating Persona 5 on Pc for that sole reason. It's also my first persona. Will I be allowed to roam freely?
More games like Red Faction Guerilla.
Or more specifically, more games that let you go fucking raze everything to the ground in pieces.
Why haven't there been any?
>graffiti game
>start a crew
>go all city
>custom design your own tags,throwups,pieces
Crackdown 3 will be the closest thing you want. But it seems like one of those games that promises too much imho.
I had an idea for a 2D sidescroller a while ago, kind of a Kirby/Mega Man mashup where you can kill enemies then eat them and get various traits, both in terms of appearance and abilities. You start as a human and the more monsters you eat the more deformed you become, with lots of different combinations. It'd also be possible to play the game without eating any monsters, instead you could just use weapons.
you must have loved until dawn, op
I've only seen a little bit of 5 even though I own it, cursed backlog, but P3 and P4G pretty much did. You're a bit limited by the number of things you can do in a day, but the year is long, and It's easy enough to get the dungeon parts out of the way.
god that sounds like cancer. i can just imagine the sort of people that would gravitate towards it. and they'll come to Sup Forums and post on other threads. holy shit, hope this never happens
A turn based tactics game where your tech is on a WW2 level and you fight occult supernazis.
It's shit.
>space adventure rpg with a consistent and coherent storyline not fucked up by liberals
mass effect?
The game only lasts for a year in in-game time?
I started making a game like this, apart from the safe rooms, it based on this:
en.wikipedia.org
Though it was supposed to have Doom style graphics since I had just played Deer Hunter 2 and though "man, this would be kinda neat and terrifying if YOU were the hunted".
the closet you're gonna get is Silent Storm
Artificial Academy 2?
It's a porn game but you don't need to have sex with everyone and can make all the characters prudes if you want to.
>Marc Eckō's Getting Up
Star Ocean, Rogue Galaxy
This. Everyone's an idea guy, you don't have to look hard to find amazing game ideas, it's the execution, funding and publishers' demands that get in the way.
>an adult themed RTS where units fuck each other instead of killing each other
>FPS Innerspace game, you get shrunk down and have to blast your way through someones capillaries, nerves, etc...
>Hybrid stealth/sim game where you have to start up your own secret society
>the lamest, sissiest fighting game ever
>pimp simulator
>Who do you fight in-between? Shit game idea, decent movie idea.
>not fucked up by liberals
The closest thing I can think of is FTL, but that doesn't fit your genres well.
I disagree, I like his idea
you don't need small fry enemies, it's not an action game
think more cabellas hunting sim and eacb mystical creature is a level where you have to track, mark, and execute it
but of course they each have their own quirks that makes it difficult and interesting
i mean is that what he(you?) was referring to?
I played the ever loving shit out of FTL. Loved every bit of it.
>the lamest, sissiest fighting game ever
It must be because I've never played a hunting sim that I can't imagine how to make prolonged tracking and fighting one enemy interesting and engaging. The closest thing I've played is Hitman.
GTA like horror game like supernatural. You're a hunter roaming around a city solving creepy shit and kicking ass.
i just want sims 3 but with good performance senpai
Hell yeah, man. It's weird, in games where things get too liberal, I tend to not give a shit about decisions. In FTL, I found myself actually giving a damn about some of the decisions that might make my crew look bad.
think stealth portion (find enemy without giving yourself away and getting jumped by them) followed by bossfight
maybe you can set traps in advance or plan ammunition types
idk it appeals to my autism
I agree that it is the lamest sissiest fighting game currently
but you can bump the sissification up several levels.
I see a fighting game where theres just a bunch of betas, and pathetic losers.
special moves are lame ass fighting techniques like the "windmill", or the doggy paddle slap, or just crying like a bitch.
where everyone blacks by flinching and saying some derivation of "eeehh"
So, Sims 2 and Sims 4?
Guns of Icarus in space on spaceships with a persistent PvE world.
Open world bicycle game that feels like Harvest Moon
a good modern classic fps
Here's my (not very original) idea:
I want an openworld game set in Sengoku Era japan from the perspective of two different characters (a recently masterless ronin and a shinobi hunted by his clan) with unique but overlapping storylines. Early game as the ronin has you participate in actual massive battlefields
Gameplay would be like a mix of Tenchu/Way of the Samurai with a dueling mode that features instakill ala Bushido Blade
Or I'd be happy with just a Bushido Blade reboot. Either is fine.
Don't worry, you could easily blow 100+ hours in it if you're not rushing, there's a shitonne of stuff to do
I loved RDR's Undead Nightmare but I get what you mean.
>gridlocked streets
>ammo is scarce but enough for you to fight with
>fuel is precious and can be used to make fire or fuel vehicles
>usually have to be on foot
>assload of interiors
>exploring the subway tunnels for max spook
Is there a IV mod like this?
>idk it appeals to my autism
>tfw crawled around to and from objectives in MGSV stealthily even when it was clear that it wasn't neccesary and I could drive inbetween the dead areas
>MORPG
>revolves around hub towns that all players visit together, like massive lobbies
>some kind of portal, exit, or gateway in the towns
>leads to generated instanced zones that are created via using some kind of resource or unlockable key system
>players can enter the same instances to help or kill one another
>the game has a very loose structure that revolves around leveling up and getting increasingly better equipment
>randomly during the year the developers will actually login to special characters to play out actual events
>events are hidden so well that some may never be discovered
>IE tutorial NPC in the first town has been there for years, someone gets an item from one of the procedurally generated zones and if they show it to her, she vanishes from the town
>a world boss appears now, wandering some procedurally generated zone, that takes over 100 people to kill
>during that boss fight an actual dev is controlling the boss directly, and a voice actress plays the npc live, actually speaking the names and stating things involving her motivations
>OR
>the game has a type of "statue" that signifies permanent death, only used in "hardcore" areas
>one day some player performs an action in a zone that causes, over the next 6 months, the moon to progressively fall into one of the towns
>the day its meant to hit, a dev appears as an angel sent from heaven to save the city and rally players to save it
>people decide to try and the warp gate is locked
>waves of monsters show up and the GM has a live actor and drama going on in front of them
>3/4 into the event, permanent death statues appear, and because the warp gate is locked, players cannot leave, forcing them to fight for their lives
>actual history in the game world will be made depending on what happens
>if the city falls, it becomes one of the outside areas, and can be reclaimed if found
etc
Bannerlord
it's just how it must be
I just want a game with anatomically realistic gore.
It's not like I'm gonna use it for fapping to dead females or anything.
>that image
>If you’ve got a problem with the world, change yourself. If that's a problem, close your eyes, shut your mouth, and live like a hermit. And if that’s a problem…
It doesn't even need to be a full on hunting sim, that's just the most obvious direction to take it. In any case shit like pub has definitely proven there's at least some market for games with large gaps in action if it makes the action tense and exciting. You probably couldn't get AAA wide appeal but you could probably do something with it.
I just want a sengoku era RPG period. Way of the Samurai is nice, but it's just too damn small. A combat similar to Nioh would also be more preferrable. WotS' combat feels too arcadey.
Vampire the masquerade: bloodlines 2
d-delete this
the game I described in the OP is something I want too.
>enemies are infected plaga type humans
>different calibers and weapons have different effects on them
>birdshot is commonly found but patterns a bunch of small wounds into enemies
>buckshot can procedurally dismember limbs if you work at them enough
>enemies bleed out and have a "dead man time" where they lose too much blood but can still continue to do what they were doing
>shot placement is important, high thoracic cavity and t zone
>shooting enemies results in their clothing moving with particles kicking off the material
>blood starts to show a few seconds after instead of bloody splashes of gore from every immediate shot
Don't remind me.
Sure faggot, why though?
i always loved this level
A large scale FPS much larger than Battlefield that takes place on beautiful maps similar to pic related.
>What kind of game do you want that doesn't exist?
MGSV but you're playing as Big Boss.
Skullface is a good villain and has interesting motive to his actions, also has aura of secrecy like in GZ for at least half the game.
Ocelot is a cocky sadistic guy like he was supposted to be.
The side missions have variety and are not essential for the main game progress.
The story makes you kill children, burn villages and rub your nose in battlefield dirt for the highest bidder, all for revenge by any means.
Motherbase actually has functionality and more optional content on it, is occasionally raided by XOF and armies of governments that see BB's Outer Heaven as a nuisance.
Speaking of Outer Heaven, the game transitions into you personally establishing it and the game ends with a small MG1 reenactment from either BB or Solid Snake perspective.
Quiet is Sniper Wolf.
Chico is alive and present as a character.
No "parasites, son".
No open world unless more thought is put into it like warring factions, random events etc.
Bodies of water are deeper than knee and you can swim in them.
You can call for DD merc backup.
I must've forgotten some other gripes I've had with the game, it's been 2 years now.
how about a soviet ice breaker?
did he try to hug a hedgehog lol
Dance Dance Revolution but it's Yugoslav War songs.
I also want a game with gratuitous amount of gore. like to the points of "this shit is silly" but in an open world type game.
nah got hugged by some birdshot.
I want an open world fantasy MMO that doesn't have modern day casualization but its systems design is AAA quality rather then being stuck in the 90s like every single WOW clone with monster AI on the same tier as fucking runescape.
MGSV'S controls would make a great Battle royal too
>Imagine a Battle Royale game with Dark Souls gameplay
>game is exactly what you want
>it's cancelled
Crazy I never even knew redwood falls was a thing. Or a cancelled project at least.
oh damn
You tried Alan Wake? It's pretty much what you described except for being third person instead of first.
A fallout or elder scrolls game with actual crafting. I want to actually create my weapons, armor, spells/chems...
Lets take Elder Scrolls as an example, I want to make my own shit, not "create an existing generic design". I don't want generic cookie cutter shit, like if I wanna make a unique sword, I should be able to shape the material myself. If I want a swastika battle axe, I could make a design on screen and hammer it out to whatever shape desired, then add shit to it, like if I wanna encrust the blade with soul gem shards i can... Fucking sick of "create this ordinary axe that looks like every other in the game", and all the named ones like "Chillrend" looked like every other glass sword... Fucking sick of that, devs need to quit being lazy.
Fallout, wouldnt it be nice to actually make your own weapon? Make your own barrels and stocks, or make your own designs for power armor...
Admittedly no. I don't mind if it's a third person.
Survival horror game set on a medium-sized pre-industrial-revolution english town
Investigator at day, explore the overworld hub
Paranormal agent at night, complete quests and put creatures to rest
Not much combat, mainly hiding, using items and generally interacting with the environment, sort of like Clock Tower
Actions made during the day affect the environment at night
Survival horror is a very hard genre to pull off, and it seems like any potential a game has to succeed immediately goes out of the window when it introduces guns.
No guns. Period.
basically Jet Set Radio
It's also not snowy but damn if it isn't moody anyway. Got some nice coziness and storms and stuff in there
It's not great IMO, combat is a complete joke so at best it's an atmospheric exploration game (although hardly exploration since you just follow a single path)
i will NOT be spoken to this way
They'd probably fuck up their "great" idea anyway.
I can kinda see your ideas working for melee weapons, as long as the hitboxes for each class of weapon remain the same no matter what material you use or shape you put said weapon in.
But firearms would be too complicated to do that with I think. You'd have to be a /k/-tier gun nut to want or know how to finagle and custom design different firearms parts with that level of detail. Basically I think FO4's level of weapons crafting was ok, even though I disdain using pipe weapons because of how ass they are.
Glad to know that I can spend that much time on it. I'm taking my time exploring, interacting and listening to what other characters say
Kinda makes me wanna play a Jack the Ripper game where you could play as either Jack, or police investigating the crimes. Make it open world, huge map sandbox where you can go explore, or go to work slicing up hookers and then taking off. Have a system where if you kill someone and then dump the body like in some secluded back alley that's hardly used, it takes a while "X game days" before the body is found and police are alerted. Kill as cleanly or as sloppy as you want, either leave no trace or fuck up so hard the cops start putting pieces together on who you are. Do nothing but kill, or like a normal life, like take jobs here and there for businesses. Like go months without killing and the cops have nothing to go on and the case goes cold. Like if you get a job that has a lot of customers, you can learn about them, follow them, learn their routines, and then kill them...
Make it multiplayer and i can kind of see it happening.
Not him, but sessions will be too long for multiplayer in my opinion.
Nah, single player only. Multiplayer wouldnt work like what this guy said . Make it GTA/LA Noire-esque. Wander around a huge city by walking or by horse and buggy, get jobs to earn money, stay at shit jobs or move on to better paying ones (have a skill tree that you could earn XP for working at places for X amount of time) and kill here and there to avoid detection, or go full kill frenzy and earn points by how you kill...
Sessions could be made shorter.
For an example, suppose you have a list of 10 possible victims, the goal of the killer being to nag any 3 of them at their own choice. That would keep sessions at a reasonable length since the actual goal is not very time consuming, but all the guesswork and investigation involved would keep both parties busy and engrossed.
Some games with multiplayer modes considered great are quite long, like Age of Empires, most strategy games and Space Station 13.
I do not know, dude. I suggested multiplayer because it sounds like the game would become stale quite quickly if all you are doing is face a predictable AI (AIs are always predictable) doing the same tasks all the time. All the uniqueness would be wasted on a severe lack of actual content.
Well, that is, unless you were to make it the usual sandbox fare and just sprinkle the murdering on top, but the world has seen quite enough generic sandboxes already.
literal murder simulator
Basically the recent Friday the 13th, but all victims are AI controlled and you can choose from a variety of monsters and assorted murderers. Other players would choose their characters and compete with you to get the most kills possible. Interfering or outright attacking other players would be allowed and actively encouraged.
The game would be, obviously, multiplayer focused but would also contain some single player content so newbs do not have to jump straight into online.
>kill a woman
>take to a secluded spot
>place/pose the body
>camera zooms in
>select tool
>carve face
>remove eyes, nose, lips, eye lids, carve happy faces on her cheeks
>camera select her hands
>remove one, or all fingers
>place severed finger in nostril hole
>camera select abdomen
>etc
>depending on your locations both where the kill took place, and where you take the body you have a timer
>if you kill out in a busy street, you wont have time to create your art, if you kill in a dark alley and haul the body a block or two away to some abandoned warehouse, you have all the time you want
Game where you run your own criminal syndicate set around the 80's.
That sounds cool.
There's no end to the list of games I would like to see, but something that's often in my daydreams is a Necromancer MMO in which you vie for power with other necromancers of various types, occasionally forging unholy allegiances with them to fight off player and non-player undead hunters and paladins.
It'd play kinda like Sacrifice, but with a strong emphasis on customizing creatures, and utilizing various living and non-living resources which are limited in terms of quantity.
