Literally just downloaded it a few hours ago. Didn't know anything about it but looks like a cartoony PUBG. Only played a few rounds though. Building a fort seems kinda fucked since by the time I had my fort setup the area closed off

The pvp is just a pubg clone. Though with some building and destruction. The pve part of the gams isnt too bad though.

Anyone else have the bug where you can't aim/shoot and have to switch to a different weapon and back?
Or if you switch from a gun to pickaxe and click too quickly it will fire the gun and give away your position/waste ammo?
Or rapidly clicking with a shotgun seems to queue up your shots with no way to cancel them when you want to stop shooting?
Or how no matter how quickly you try to react to the bus doors opening somehow there's always 5-10 people flying out before you even get the prompt?
Or slight rubberbanding that cancels your run animations?
Or never ever getting a purple from a chest?

Just wondering, still pretty fun in a group

that's why you wait until the final 15 to bother with forts. by then, the circle is small enough that any rifle should be able to cover the distance and its not going to get much smaller than that. if a team has rockets, that's one thing, but if not, a good base can fuck up the unprepared.

I at least foresee a comeback of 2D shoot 'em ups and physics-based platformers. This year has been pretty great with those thanks to Sonic Mania, Cuphead, Snake Pass, Mario Odyssey, etc.

If it had been 100% identical otherwise I still would have been grateful.

The core game of Fortnite's not finished yet, so this was a smart move to keep the title relevant until that part is actually released. It'll also be F2P, with the paid stuff just being early access founder goodies. I've personally had it on my watch list for a while and am just going to play Battle Royale alongside other games until the full Fortnite becomes free.

I'll probably give it a try. I like PUBG and this is free so have nothing to lose.

I never said that they did not think about pubg, it's obvious that they got the idea from seeing pubg's and H1Z1 KOTK's popularity
