There is literally NOTHING on this board I hate more than Sunshinefags. I can smell them from behind my monitor, they stink of pretentiousness, of faggotry. You just know that they think they're doing their due diligence as epic Sup Forumscore "Gaymurs" by picking the obscure Mario title on their least popular system to boost their fragile Nintendobabby egos.
>64? Too ubiquitous! >Galaxy 1 and 2? It's on the Wii, it's casual! It's embarrassing the mental gymnastics that these retards go through to justify their edgy opinions, Sunshine is simply the worst 3D Mario.
>B-b-b-ut muh aesthetic, muh comfy! "No". It looks like a music video directed by McG, the saturation is ugly, the camera is wonky and unresponsive. The level design? Simply abhorrent, repetitive and creatively bankrupt. The blue coins are a tedious fetch quest that have little bearing on the levels. The levels themselves, either too big or too vertical.
>B-b-b-ut muh music Acapella is for fedora wearing retards and the tropical shit is trite. Galaxy and 3D World are far better in regards to music and if you suggest otherwise, you are being willfully ignorant or are completely aesthetically challenged.
>Whatever man, just like lay off and let me have my opinion
You FUCKING FAGGOTS have gone on too long without being challenged on your like for this piece of shit game. You revel in this title's mediocrity like a badge of honour.
Josiah Peterson
I enjoy Mario's abilities in sunshine the most, but the levels don't really capitalize on them. The game as a whole is far too "safe", if that makes sense. It's easy, and never realizes it's full potential. The Galaxy games use their gimmick much more effectively and creatively, although I have some issues with those two, as well. 3D world is my favorite 3D Mario game so far, though I'm hoping Odyssey will surpass it and succeed where Sunshine didn't.
Gavin Allen
Finally an user with critical thinking skills and a nuanced opinion.
3D World for me is uneven but you can definitely make a case for that game being the best due to the sheer variety it offers. The streamlined 8 directional movement also irked me. Odyssey seems to strike a good balance.
Brandon Wright
Deep down in their hearts, Sunshinefags know that the game controls like garbage, half the worlds were turned into blue coins and the only thing the game has going for it is it's looks and it's music. They know that if they ever try and say Sunshine is better than anything, they'll get laughed out of town, so I say leave them alone.
It's like that special needs kid sperging out in his wheelchair, you just say "That's right, buddy." and you walk away.
Brandon Diaz
sorry it was too hard for you, OP
Elijah Sullivan
It's just a fun game, man.
You can jerk yourself off or whatever, but I'm still gonna have fun playing Sunshine.
Andrew Foster
>The streamlined 8 directional movement also irked me I can understand that, but it never bothered me since the GC and Nunchuck sticks had those octagonal notches in them, so I was already used to it. It's my fav mainly for not even trying to be like 64. The Galaxy games suffer from being tied down by 64's legacy, they have to pretend to have these big, open levels but in reality they're as linear as any 2D mario that came before them. In addition, Mario is just kind of slow and sluggish, which I see as necessary for the gravity gimmicks, but still feels worse to control. Mario's slower pace, and all the menu bullshit (You got X Star Bits! You got Y Coins! A new Galaxy has appeared! A Prankster Comet has appeared! You got a letter from Princess Peach! Do you want to save?) really drags those two games down, but I still prefer them to Sunshine.
Michael Cox
>Duuuurrrr I haeed fun playin bido gaeem
Gavin Campbell
I just liked exploring the environments the first time around. I tried to replay it and realized it wasn't actually fun I also don't find galaxy that fun so maybe mario isn't my thing, I just enjoyed the details in the map and setting.
Brandon Taylor
I don't know OP, have you met anyone who's played new vegas? whew, I can smell their smegma clear across the country
Colton Rivera
Cool, friend. You keep doing that. I'm gonna keep having fun, okay?
John Myers
Have all the fun you want, friend. Just don't assert that the game is any way, shape or form good.
Jonathan Miller
I agree that the saturation and overall aesthetic looks really bad
Matthew Jones
Not him but it's the finest 3D platformer ever made.
Anthony Ward
My biggest issue with this game were just some of the retarded design choices they have going on throughout the missions, like if you fail that blooper race, you die and get punted back to the hub level or Yoshi's juice depleting over time. And I don't even need to go into detail about the blue coins
Asher Sanders
something oddly satisfying about this copy pasta because it comes from panicing odyssey fags knowing that when it comes out, it'll never be as good as sunshine
we can see from the zones already that sunshine zones are bigger/better lay outs
don't worry, odyssey will still be fun though
Jaxon Diaz
Sunshine is currently the only 3D Mario game to feature full camera control. That makes it better than 64, Galaxy, Galaxy 2, 3D Land, and 3D World by default.
Cooper Gray
THE CAMERA IN MARIO SUNSHINE IS FUCKING ATROCIOUS HOW DARE YOU IMPLY IT IS GOOD
James Mitchell
Feel free to justify that claim anytime you pretentious faggot.
Ethan Diaz
This is pasta
Wyatt Clark
what's the best 3d mario for someone to try if they haven't really gotten into them before? 64?
Adrian Reed
sunshine is my favorite 3d mario most people just can't see the light as usual
Kevin Martin
64 is the best of the bunch but depending on when you grew up you might think it's "archaic" or has aged in some ways. You have to keep in mind what innovations it was making and how revolutionary it was, particularly how right they got it the first time around. Galaxy might be a better entry point for first time players, it's probably the easiest.
Leo Hill
>can't see the light The light is saturated and ugly to look at.
Leo Ross
what are blue coins even for in this game? all i remember is finding them all was time consuming and frustrating.
Adam Lee
>obscure mario title
Colton Hall
I'm going to turn it into pasta and there's nothing you can do about it.
Noah Bailey
As somebody who also isn't really into 3d platformers or mario games in general, I like sunshine the best
Elijah Brown
you take 10 of them to the raccoons that exchange them for a shine sprite
Ethan Lewis
It's a fun game. Don't you like having fun?
Mason Peterson
Ah the good old fun response. Could you perhaps qualify that opinion with something from the game. Something objective? Perhaps make an argument as to why it isn't the worst 3D Mario? No? Then fuck off.
