Johnny wasn't a junky at any point in his story. The entire Lost shit in V was retarded as fuck and might as well not even have been the same characters. It was literally only Johnny for shock factor to show how "badass" and "crazy" Trevor was.

Wrong, GTAV he was a different man than he was in GTAIV.

GTAIV Johnny would have fucking murdered trevor but he became such a dependent junky by the events of V that he was a shell of his former self.

You can literally see it physically, he has lost a ton of weight and has been completely manipulated and cucked by Trevor at that point.

You could ask the same about every GTA protag and be left without answers.

I know he was different and it's fucking retarded. Anyone with a brain who paid attention to Johnny's character in TLaD knows how stupid it is the way he was in V.
It's entirely out of character the way he ended up just to show Trevor being edgy.

I honestly don't think it was out of character at all, people just fanboy over him way too much.

He always showed that he can't let go of his relationship with Ashley and I think that was the seed of his downward spiral, also dealing in Meth. He eventually started using with Ashley and it only escalated from there. Not all characters need a dignified exit to a story and I think his was fine.

And don't even call me a Trevor fanboy because I'm not, Michael is by far the best of the three in V.

The issue i personally have is that we don't get to see how he ended up. He just is so without any reason.
How TLaD ended was pretty good. He broke of with Ashley(for good) and pretty much quit the Lost because of what it did to him.
They literally did a 180 on his character from TLaD only to show off Trevor. It's that simple. It's why he gets introduced and killed of in the same scene.

He's one of the more mentally sound GTA protagonists so he probably became a rich club guy and parties every day.

Niko always has a sad ending but yeah. I think Luiz might be the only one who got rid of all his problems without losing anything.

It makes sense that a junkie would get rekt by Trevor. It doesn't make sense that Johnny suddenly turned into said junkie.

It just comes off as a cheap way to show off their badass Mary Sue Trevor.

He and Tony "went legit" cutting all connections to shady bullshit in Liberty City, only going gangsta on the occasional paparazzi and etc.
