Anyone here who knows their way around Renpy? I'm trying to writefag a scene in the game itself instead of just posting a pastebin, but I have no experience in the field so I'm kind of feeling around in the dark here.

Specifically, I want to add custom music tracks to the game that weren't already present, and then play them over a scene. I've already got the looping ogg file, and I found an archive called audio.rpa with all of the game's BGM in it. I backed up the old audio.rpa, unpacked those files, added my new ogg file to the BGM folder, and packed those folders back into a new .rpa with the track added. Then I added a definition for the new track in the definitions.rpy (define audio.newtrack = "bgm/newtrack.ogg")

But the problem is, I can't seem to get the game to read from the new audio.rpa that I've made. In fact it's reading from the backup of the old version of audio.rpa, because when I delete the backup all of the sound in the game stops working. Any idea how to get it to stop pointing to the old file and start pointing to the new one? I know asking /vn/ is a shot in the dark but I'm confused and can't find helpful documentation.

Even though Monika doesn't really exist in this ending, it's still the nicest ending the other girls could have gotten.

I plugged her ass back into the characters folder so she can come back anytime she wants. Even after the first time she tried to delete herself.

Is this the one from doing every girl's route before Sayori dies?

Yup you just play the game and save before the first poem. From there you focus on either Natsuki or Yuri in the poems up until the "I love you/Friendship choice with Sayori" then reload and do the other girl. From then you just all in on Sayori and do the game past Momika in space.

I did Sayori first, including confession and all and THEN did the other girls. Ordering does not matter. But it felt really good reading the lines she said at the end.

Chromatic aberration is a lens effect. You should only use it if you're trying to recreate the look of a photograph, for example in a still 3d rendering.
It really serves no purpose in other cases other than making things look less defined and giving the viewer headaches.

Looking at the rest of Satchleys art, I'd say maybe. They do seem to stylize the iris similarly in certain drawings. HOWEVER looking at doki doki, it seems to be deliberate, as if there's real eyes behind those anime lenses.

If you think about it, the real catalyst for all this is (you), if you never interfered, none of them would've fallen in love with you, Monika wouldn't kill anybody. and they would still be friends.

Yeah, don't repack rpas manually and it'll work. Just leave your bgm folder in game/. Renpy is responsible for repacking when you release a new distribution.

As much as I liked it, I think everyone agrees that it feels unfinished. Hopefully it continues to get updated until the sequel is released. And hopefully the sequel doesn't go full on meta horror shit and puts a good amount of emphasis on the regular VN stuff.
