That's nice and all but it probably has some gay name like Babylake or some shit...

That's nice and all but it probably has some gay name like Babylake or some shit. I'll take the chad Threadripper over that.

DELID THIS

o rly?

For what game though?

>yay i fucking love monopoly
>crank those prices higher intel i wanna scuk your cock
^ you ^

for a mere 3k more than the top amd pressor, yuo get 1.2 fps more!!! y u no buy?

1.2 fps is bigger of a difference than we've seen in 5+ years of new processors.

AMDfags already triggered.
RIP Ryzen 03/2017 - 10/2017

So you do want to pay more for the same product? Well intelcucks are predictable.

>same product
You mean a faster, better product than what AMD offers? Gee I think it's a only natural to pay a bit more.

No. I mean you pay more for the same product if there is a monopoly and no healthy competitive market. And you oh so wish for monopoly. Retarded.

>And you oh so wish for monopoly
I don't, I wish for better, faster CPU's. It just so happens that Intel delivers them consistently.

it's funny how 7700k is still king for gaming

>doesn't work below Windows 10
Buy our $1000 CPUs good goiym so we can spy and backdoor you!

You can get them to work on Win7 with some minor hacks, same for Ryzen.

Reminder that there is still literally zero reason to upgrade from Sandy Bridge.

Nice, I'm still using a toaster with a 1st gen i7 920 and was waiting for the 6core mainstream update before upgrading.

I'm waiting for AMD to make some Ryzen APU, an APU with good graphics and decent single thread/core performance on 14nm would be great. I wonder if you could get R7 360 performance on the Ryzen architecture.

Are you fucking retarded?

Your Rypoo garbage doesn't work on Windows 7 either officially

Everything below 10 is vulnerable as fuck, why would you want to be hacked and exploited? Plus, 10 legitimately looks and runs better.

>he bought ryzen

Kek at the people who bought ryzen cause it was 'futureproof' with all it's cores
Few months is a really short timespan to call future

>vulnerable
Marketing bullshit, they say it's "vulnerable" because they want people to upgrade, with a decent firewall and regular AV scans without being a fucking idiot and torrenting unsafe shit you are as safe on 7 as you are on 10.
>looks
Metro looks like shit.
>runs
Ran like ass for me, so I have no intention of upgrading.

I bought it because it's a better workstation cpu than le delid chip. Not everyone wastes their entire life doing nothing but gaming.

Hey, one-core perfomance got higher?
I don't want to check all this stats, i just want to know will 8700k play arma better than 7700k or not.

Single core perf is the same, you can get maybe 200 Mhz extra clock over Kaby.

lol
>I bought a honda and not a porshe because I don't waste my entire life doing nothing but driving for fun!

Cool. Why are you arguing for a workbench CPU on Sup Forums then?

Do you have to reinstall Windows to change motherboard/CPU?

The Ryzen CPUs still do much better in workstation application and it doesn't require one to sell their firstborn to AMD.
Right now, Intel's big problem is the fact that they're jews and really nothing else.

Porshe makes cars that are over priced for what they can do, so accurate. If you want to have some real fun, get a Mclaren.

>Thermal paste instead of solder under IHS

No thanks. 2500K is probably my last processor from Shintel

Because that guy was shooting his mouth off about futureproofing, not gaming. Ryzen IS futureproof as far as multithreaded applications go.

>CPU
No
>motherboard
Yes

Nah. I switched from i3 to ryzen, along with motherboard and ram. Win 10 booted like normal, not a single problem.

>mfw still running i5 2500K no problems

>still do much better in workstation application
1800x is about 2% faster. That's for your much better.

It performs very similarly with delta of few FPS max to 7700k with some exceptions where it has a major advantage. Dunno whether it's optimization issues with these games or just the fact that they utilize multithreading better..

I'm still using 4670k OCd to ~4300mhz.
DDR3 as well obviously.

Who gives a shit about i7 and new CPUs, Intel jews can fuck off.

Ok, no need to upgrade then.

4690k@4,4 here
It'll be fine for a while, though it hits its limits in games like BF1

>worrying about the OS backdoor when all modern processors have a hardware backdoor

Ryzen has been proven consistently to have much less stutter than any 4 core CPU, which is much more important that 5 or 10 fps more.

Using an OC'd 3570k here. Shit just works.

>8700K
>$400

>Ryzen 1600
>$200

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
UGGHHUHUHUHH

>FX6300
>working at the same effectiveness for games for the past 4 years

Still waiting for games to use hyperthreading.

Because some people do more than game and only game, besides that as multithreaded programs and even games become more common this is something that is more desirable for the future. Even without it, if you do a lot of multitasking and gaming having more cores and threads will still increase performance.

>Buying windows so you can reinstall your OS after you change notherboards

Funny, now see the price difference between a Ryzen 1600 and an i7-8700K

>Literally zero availability
Thanks intel.

You do realize the 8700k is a 1800x competitor, right?

Mein Neger. Shit just works and I don't need more than 30fps in strategy, turn based tactics and roleplaying games anyway.

I wouldn't trust Windows with that, even if everything seems to work normal, performance might not be optimal.

no, you see the price difference between 1600 and i5-8600k, which shits on it

I thought you guys were talking about games. For gaming, the 8700K is competing with the Ryzen 1600, which is by far the best option.

Only a retard would buy a 1800X for games.

What's the fucking point if 1600 is absolutely enough for gaming? Hell, most devs are not even utilizing more than 4 threads. If you want to run anything in the background 1600 is more than enough.

BASED INTEL
AMD BTFO
NO WAY THEY WILL EVER RECOVER FROM THIS
RIP IN PEACE AMD
JUST BURY IT

>8700K is competing with the Ryzen 1600
Competing by being like 30% faster.
>absolutely enough for gaming
For you maybe.

Why do people always gloss over the prices? If I'm paying 200-400 more, I better not see the cheaper product outperform me somewhere outside of resource usage.
I don't want to see a fucking Lotus get to 60 before a Veyron. It looks bad. I paid for top of the line, better than everything else in every field, not increases disproportionate to the price hike and a loss in something as simple as that.

>gaming CPU
what? Don't most games bottleneck at GPU?

Do I actually need to buy a 1600 or 1600X to have a CPU capable of running CPU intensive games like Warhams at 60fps in 1080p with max shadows and shit? This is assuming my GPU is not the bottleneck.

Enough as in 1080p 60fps? 8700k is enthusiast tier for gaming, it's not just for 60 fps in 1080p. i5 is enough for that too. Some i3 are even enough for that.

Sure user, in some games's max fps, which don't really matter since you're usually GPU bottlenecked, not CPU.
Now... about those 4 core stutters...

You can tell the AMD fanboys are devastated.

Come back shilling when Zen 2 comes out, Ryzen is finished.

>a 6 core 5 Ghz CPU
>blabbers something about 4 cores
/r/AMD is that way

Depends on the game. Overwatch and Quake Champions are both pretty CPU reliant.

>pays 100% more
>gets only 30% more performance

HOW WILL SHILLS EVER JUSTIFY GETTING RIPPED BY JEWTELL

If you're talking about competing in games, you pick the best Intel CPU for the job and the best AMD CPU for the job.
And that's 8700K vs 1600, which have a huge price gap.

>Now... about those 4 core stutters...
>4
Please just don't post.

Coffee Lake is good but Ice Lake is next year...with a Z390 board.

My bad, I was mixing up CPUs.

Still, the 8600K is more expensive, it better be better performing.

Why are Intel frametimes so inconsistent? Why are gamers paying a premium to experience microstutter?

Why do people meme about the 7700k overheating?

I get about 35c idle and it never foes above 75c when gaming at 3440x1440

After buying 2 amd cpus which were 100 cheaper than their supposed counterparts, yet randomly underperformed, I learned my lesson.

Can't trust amd with cpus.

>5 Ghz CPU
user...

amdbabbies are like the nintendo fanboys of PC

What the hell does the name matter? The name doesn't affect performance.

Did US Amazon put their i7s 8700Ks up yet? They're backordered on newegg.

how are you going to get pussy with a name like babylake retard

>paying for semen thermal compound

us gamers don't care about the latest and greatest cpu's.

bleeding-edge cpu's are for ~~CONTENT CREATORS~~. you can play video games on any i5-equivalent cpu made within the past six years.

More cores/threads on the 1800X

I got a ryzen 7, it does all I need it to do I can play games while watching a stream while there is 40 tabs of porn open in the background.
I just need it to last me at least 2-3 years and I'll be extremely pleased

>Can it run Crysis?

YES, IT CAN

7700k + 1080 ti here

playing 100fps ultrawide 1440p on most games

>people
AMD shills

...

Why do these threads exist? It's to be expected that someone who buys a new computer goes with the latest mainstream CPU. Intel no longer sells cores as i7 now and instead you get a 6-core, so obiviously you go with this. The reason they didn't go 8 is because they'd have to drop clockrates for that, making performance worse than the previous one, which is why Ryzen with its 8 cores can't keep up in gaming performance - it doesn't clock as high as the Intel 4-cores.

In the end none of this benchmark circlejerking matters as you will never ever see another new CPU that mysteriously creates performance out of thin air making an upgrade from one generation to the next viable. It's baby steps all the way and you upgrade once you either experience performance issues in titles you commonly play or when the hardware fails and you can't replace things anymore and might as well switch to something new.

>Having this much unwarranted self importance.
You are not a revolutionary, you are a faggot on Sup Forums.

The only thing holding back 8 core Ryzen chips is the manufacturing process which was not intended to go above 4GHz. People have pushed all 8 cores to 4GHz.

>The reason they didn't go 8 is because they'd have to drop clockrates

They're doing mainstream 8-core early next year and it will have lower clockrates but will have higher Turbomeme speed

i7 2600k here. Still going strong.

>hotter than a 7700k
J U S T

Just use it as a heater in winter. Win-win.

still rocking my 2500k from 2011 with no complaints

>tfw got a Ryzen 1600 on august
Did i fuck up bros

take that corporate cock out of your mouth, retard

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

>i7 7700k is cooler than Ryzen 5 1600
>Ryzen 7 1770x is cooler than Ryzen 5 1600
Wut

Ryzen 7 1700x*
