Nah. He seems pretty pointless in this. Like, with the changes they're giving Ragna, isn't Naoto pretty much obsolete? Plus there are plenty of other characters who could do what he does except better.

Personality-wise, he's basically just Hyde too. And besides, we already have four protagonists, so what's he gonna be? In BBCF, his gimmick was that he was a protagonist in another protagonist's story, but now he has no place at all.

I fought Skullgirls really simple to grasp as most of the motions were things I were already used to (QCF and QCB).

PA4 Arena had some trickier inputs like King of Fighters which my peabrain cant grasp for the life of me. Its actually the biggest reason I dont play anime fighters and instead stick to capcom stuff

Long before Blazblue was even made, Mori used to doodle Hakumen a lot. You might say the entire series was actually built around him, even though plot-wise he's secondary.

I don't think Atlus has ever asked themselves that question.

But Persona's inputs are largely just quarter circles too. Like, outside of Mitsuru, the cast largely runs on quarter circles. There's no Raging Storm inputs or anything.

Suddenly it makes sense why Tsubaki has such a role in the games, Even when she did stupid shit Mori had Noel use her bullshit powers to completely erase any and all negative consquences to her using Izayoi and even handed her it's true power, he must have really wanted to fuck imagine because he even gave Tsubaki another role after the normal story of Blazblue ended, now she's Tsubakmen but time remains to be seen if she actually has the susanoo unit but she does have Ookami

Guilty Gear and Blazblue inputs are no more complex than Capcom games, generally. Most characters just use DPs, half-circles and quarter-circles with the occasional 360.

He plays pretty differently from Ragna outside of being both rushdown and their reversal

Yeah, but they'd probably get rid of Enhancer altogether. So the only way of getting him in is by getting rid of some of his gimmicks. Bloodedge's Guard Crush won't be as useful either, since there's no longer metered guard. Without guard crush, what's even the point of his Drive anymore?
