Let's talk about how he has done nothing wrong.
>its a /dag/ leaks into Sup Forums episode
my favorite
Why did he give his orb to Corypheus instead of waiting until he can unlock it himself?
>tried to bring glory to his race
>ended up imprisoning his brethren and turning them into mindless catastrophes that would end up being killed every few generations
>indirectly caused the once great Dalish to turn into forest savages who are forever stuck in an archaic culture system that's slowly killing them as a group
>ended up causing the events of DA3
He may not be evil, but his actions have caused more destruction and death than any other character in the series. No regrets from him either. Fuck this knife-ear.
rly makes u think
He didn't expect Cory to survive unlocking the orb.
The plan was to take it from his pulverized hands after the explosion.
shit happens
I'm sorry, who?
But why give your orb to someone else in the first place? Why not just wait a few extra years and unlock it yourself? He slept for so long, waiting a little bit longer doesn't seem like a problem.
people have flaws. maybe seeing everyone around him with -100 IQ by his standards made him impatient to restore the world
The world disgusts him, my dude. He fucking hates every single thing around him. Of course he wants to speed things up, even if just a little.
Eh, who knows.
Maybe getting back to 100% took longer than anticipated or maybe he saw how fucked up the world was and wanted to act NOW.
>generic as fuck until you buy the mediocre DLC too hear him go "muh elves" for a minute or two before the credits roll
>greatest antagonist of all time
I never finished DA:I, so I didn't even know this guy was an antoganist. Redpill me on this guy.
Quick Rundown
>Dalish bow to the Dread Wolf
>in contact with Mythal
>rumored to possess the Anchor
>controls Eluvians with an iron fist
>has spies and agents all over the world
>an actual Dalish god
>Will usher in another age of elf supremacy
>said to have over 200+ IQ
So he almost fucked up everything because he was simply impatient? A former god (even if he doesn't like people calling him that) who can't wait for a few years after he slept for centuries? Doesn't sound like the greatest antagonist of all times to me.
Yes, yes. This explains everything. Thank you based bog.
Getting back his strength would have probably required too many years. Thedas was already on the verge of a catastrophe, with the weak Veil, the Blights, the corrupted organizations and the elves treated like shit by everyone, so he decided to act immediately, while also taking care of Corypheus, a bad guy all around.
what game?
>how did you know the Qunari had spies in the Inquisition?
>Simple: The Qunari's spies in the Inquisition tripped over my spies in the Inquisition
evanuri were never gods, only the most powerful generals who over time became worshipped, kind of like caesar. this is kind of the thing, they spent the entire game developing him and painting him as "human" not some infallible cunt. he himself said he never considered a human magister to be able to find immortality - his arrogance about "elven superiority" is another flaw that bloew up in his face
But the whole point is that he doesn't care about Thedas in general, since he will destroy it by tearing down the Veil.
And Corypheus? He is a joke of a villain even with the powers the orb granted him.
>evanuri were never gods, only the most powerful generals
Yeah, I know. But at what point are you powerful enough to claim the title of a god? I mean one of them basically split the world in two. Sounds pretty godlike to me.
Been a while since I played it, but basically:
>he's a really powerful elf mage
>other powerful elf mages kills his waifu, Mythal
>he goes full autism and creates the vale, separating the world and the fade and thus ruining everything for the elves, and takes them from being borderline immortal demigods to just lanky humans with silly ears
>after sleeping on it for a long while he decides to basically kill off the world in order to restore the elves he destroyed in the first place
>he has an artifact that can fuck things up but it needs to be charged first
>gives it to a powerful Darkspawn mage so he can act as charger pretty much and fill it with power
>dosn't go exactly as planned and the charger is a bit more powerful than anticipated
>eventually get his orb back anyways
>goes on to suck up the spirit of his waifu which had mended with the body of Flemeth to become super sayian or something
>chops of the arm of the inquisitor to save him/her
Then the game ends on a cliffhanger setting up the plot of trying the kill Solas.
>controls Eluvians with an iron fist
How did both Merrill and Morrigan get one then?
>DA:I character
>a good character
this only happens shortly before the end of DA:I. they are now only open to him.
He controls the network at the end of Trespasser. You can have one, but it means shit if someone else controls every door that you could go through afterwards.
Dragon Age Inquisition
name ONE bad character from DA:I that is not iron bull or sera
>Sera
>bad character
>name ONE bad character from DA:I
Sera.
Fuck your shitty limitations
Hey. Varric is pretty good.
Also Blackwall has a pretty neat story.
Leliana. Went from slut turned religious nutjob to nothing personel inquisitor
Corypheus
Leliana
Varric was good in DA2.
No idea if they butchered him in DA:I
They don't exactly butcher him but he has no reason to be in the game and is utterly pointless.
There is literally nothing wrong with Leliana in DA:I
RELEASE THE NEXT TOOL ALBUM YOU STUPID FUCK
He's more or less the same, maybe a bit less fun since the game has less of a character focus than DA2.
Also Only real relevancy he has to the story is basically writing a letter to Hawke. But then the same could be said for most party members in most RPG's.
So is there anyway back for the series?
>origins was great
>DA2 had potential but is awful
>Inquisition is bland as fuck
At this point you can actually claim that Dragon Age has never been good and almost be right.
Well apart from being incredibly fucking generic and boring.
know what i like about dragon age? the fact that they made all the lore sourced from in-game sources... makes it easy to retcon shit without fucking everything else up
Not really. Unless they hand of the series to another developer to basically create a small scale spinoff in the style of all the kickstarter RPG's.
It's sad, they made the game as a callback to their older games and to show love the long time fans but ended up just shitting on them even harder.
I just wish they did it in a more elegant way. I have never liked Bioware's focus on using a codex.
Vivienne
The only bad thing about Vivienne is that you can't hatefuck the bitch.
just because she doesn't kiss ass and knows how to put you in your place doesn't make her bad
>the greatest antagonist of all time
I, too, am a big fan of Kain. Your picture doesn't look like him, though. Is it from the cancelled reboot?
>tfw loved inquisition story a companions even if i hated the gameplay
>tfw EA would never allow dragon age to be a cinematic RPG with classic CRPG gameplay
>instead is casualized shit that tries to be a tactical and action RPG but is shit on both
>tfw dragon age is not a propierty of obsidian
be a bioware fag is suffering
I just can't bring myself to finish this game and I enjoyed Dragon Age 2.
>iron bull
>bad character
>greatest antagonist of all time
Thats not O,Dimm OP
She's sweetieposting incarnate.
Think about that for a second.
I KINDA AGREE
game?
You know it takes like 2 seconds too google.
>Blood & Wine
>sidequest implied to be his doing
>his theme starts playing
FUCK YOU O'DIMM
Your shitty game isn't worth two seconds of my time. Now tell me the name or get the fuck OFF my website.
