Knight. Bat-tank was fun. Fite me.

City > Knight > Asylum > Origins

What's Sup Forums's vote for Batman multiplayer?

Even with Knight's problems I found it better

Knight had its problems but at least it tried to do new things, and overall it was pretty great

Origins was kinda boring, way too similar to City, and the tone is really weird, didn't feel like it fitted into the Arkham series at all. It was too cartoony and colorful.
Also that Joker was awful, I liked Bane though
Not really a bad game but yeah completely forgettable

origins

BRAP

tempted to say origins

braaaaap

Knight has the best combat
Asylum has the best setting
City has the best story
Origins is the most comfy

Asylum however has the worst main theme.

Batman: Rise of Arkham Patrols?

The most important part is that Superman will never have any games coming even close to the Arkham games, because you can't make an interesting Superman game.

Knight, best gameplay. but Origins is a good standalone recommendation.

I love Harley Quinn

arkham pawgs*

>porn animators don't use this model
>instead they use the butt ugly one from either city or knight

Fuck you! Supes in the best

Asylum > Origins > City > Knight

Knight had some pretty kino moments

youtu.be/PC-JT-S2ts4

Same.
I played Asylum, City and Knight in row right after each other and the games really upped themselves with every new installment.

stop making me want to fap

>not this scene

I entered the thread just to be mad about this

My favorite kino scene coming through. I got the chills and knew shit was about to get serious

this

Fuck me forgot the link

I swear if it's that rumored Harry Potter game I've been hearing about I'm going to be so disappointed

Knight had the best Sirens

It could be cool if done right imo

What? you actually like Knight's ivy as opposed to the previous iteration?

Only bad thing about her was the face got a bit funky.

I wonder if Batsy has ever considered making an actual robot as a replacement. Or a dog.

Not him but personally I do. Ivy in the previous games was very anime looking and clashed horribly with the realistic tone of the other characters, Knight Ivy however was adjusted and now fits perfectly. She looks pretty good in-game.

Rocksteady are better than that, besides Harry Potter is fucking gay

...

I'm 99% sure it's a DC game when they write that "fans" will lose their minds.

*BBRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAPpppf*

there's bunch of other good looking actress what have looks that could fit Ivy much better. I hate Knight Ivy's skull shape when we had a much rounder and fuller lips in the previous games

I do, maybe due to her story arc as well

>porn animators don't use this model
If you really think that you simply haven't looked.

Eh it's all down to personal prefrence though. I didn't hate old Ivy, not one bit, but I prefer Knight Ivy.

>Finally play Origins like last week
>At the end they tease a Suicide Squad game
>Realize Origins came out like 4 years ago

What happened?

I would say Origins, because I despised tonnes of repetitive checklist side tasks in Knight. I will probably never replay it because of that, I'm just not willing to sink so much time into this crap. They're all very good games though. Origins being massively underrated compared to others

Game was canceled

>tfw you meet Man Bat for the first time

you have that mega link

>tfw you play new game plus for the first time

This game was lowkey scarier than most horror games

for me the Arkham Games were about telling one major story, a good amount of side missions and then for the fans or people who dont have 200 games in their backlog some Riddler OCD grindfiesta

You are right that it was repetitive, but most games are especially if they have 3 sequels.

>lowkey
get out

Cancelled, I remember a thread with some leaked info about how it was supposed to look like, but I can't remember any specifics. It was on Sup Forums though I think

Knight > Origins
Knight has THE worst boss fights
All games have no GOOD boss fights

The combat system will never allow for good boss fights

The Killer Croc part was scary as fuck too with that big motherfucker lurking around

Thanks user now I just HAVE to jack off I suppose

Why do everyone think the bamham combat is bad?

Origins

...

Some of the cutscenes were pretty fucking good. Plus all those moments with Joker spread across the city.

Mr. Freeze from City was one of the best bossfights in recent years. More games should follow that format where bosses cover their weaknesses after you exploit them.

I absolutely loved first 2 games and I enjoyed Origins, is Knight well playable on the PC now? Is the batmobile such a nuisance as people say?

The fact that there was only a door separating you both was the scary part and him threatening to eat you.

Help me look

The predator segments of the Knight were SO GOOD.

The distruptor was tactical as fuck, the quick hack device was very handy and the voice synthesiser was hilarious to use. Shame about getting it rather late in the game.

I wish Arkham games were more about the predator side of Batman rather than the brawler side of it. In fact I wouldn't mind it one bit if the games were completely made up with those parts of the game with zero brawling.

Its literally a tutorial boss that happens in the later stages of the game
>do a cover takedown
>do a ground takedown
>do an aerial takedown
>do a normal takedown
>blow up a wall he walks past
One of the most overrated boss fights, especially in the last 10 years.

excuse me motherfucker?
superman 64 would like a word

Wasn't it that Superman game, or Justice League since he'd fit there as well? There was even a screenshot, or was that fake?

Muh casuals and muh two buttons
It's not bad, it does a great job at what it was supposed to do: make you feel like the goddamn Batman. It's really fun with how fluid it feels and it actually has an additional layer of depth with all the gadgets and special moves you can use

Harry potter wouldn't make a cool game in a million fucking years. The lamest god damn spells in fiction, you'd be better off playing wizard 90210

It's true that her City outfit is used far more often than classic Quinn.

I loved how batsuit subtly got more and more damaged in each game as you progressed.

I thinks that's what divides people. Asylum focused on the predator. There weren't that many enemies and they gave you a lot of options to deal with situations.
Knight focuses more on a quick entrance then brawl. I mean, you can't really be all sneaky and shit with a high-powered tank like Lambo wrecking shit across the city.

>mfw they fucked up the Beyond suit in Knight

How could they take something so perfect and rape it like that? do they have no soul?

user, they made it fit with everything else in the game
There's nothing wrong with that

NEW ROCKSTEADY GAME IS BEYOND PLEASE

There's an inherent problem with Superman, which even the comic book writers face. Superman is, well, Superman. He's so OP in every aspect that most other superheroes are just one single power of his as their one. Every time he's faced against anything, they have to purposely cripple him just for the sake of every problem not being solved in seconds.
In the comic books you can make the argument, why doesn't he punch the robber into dust? Cause HE doesn't want to.
But if you're putting the control over to us, the players, we'll want to turn them to dust just because we can.

>Put on blue and grey batsuit
>Hunt for baddies until I find a large group of them
>Wait until one of the thugs makes a random comment like "It's so cold, should've brought a jacket"
>Jump down and beat all of their asses
>Say "Allow me to warm you with the heated embrace of justice" and shitty silver age Batman puns before I knock them out
>Always counter KO right after even if it breaks my combo

Who /nonedgelordbatman/ here?

There is EVERYTHING wrong with that because it was pure perfection. It didn't need to be Tacticool it was simple, sleak, and timeless. They managed to re-create the original Harley with minimal changes so why not Beyond?

Knight had a great progression. Start all slick, end with bullet holes, tears, the cape getting more ragged.

>patrolling the city in Knight
>see a multitude of bad guys
>about 80% flee when they see me

What the fuck I just wanted to beat some low life thughs.

Really wished they added an option where wearing that suit it randomly added KAPOW, BANG during fights.

The progression with the prison getting filled up was also neat.
A lot of interesting dialogue in there, like the dude getting seduced by Ivy.

I just thought that, simply for shit and giggles, I would love a game(probably an FPS) in which you play as just some common criminal in Gotham. You meet some of the supervillains, but you see them from a perspective of normal man - so they're either fucking nightmares made real or absolutely terrifying lunatics and sociopaths. Basically almost a horror game really emphasising how unnatural and disturbing those characters should be for regular goons. The absolutely scariest and most intense part of the game would be being hunted by the Bat himself, this shit should make the Werewolf in VtM:B feel like fucking Stardew Valley.

in the comics he uploaded his personality and knowledge into a computer system with the intent on transferring his consciousness into a clone body should something happen to him but he could never get it right. when he basically died in a pure lazarus pit and came back without his memories during the arc Jim Gordon was the new Batman and he had to come save Jimbos ass from Bloom, he used the machine on himself to get back in the game. so clones seems to be his answer

>tfw you can't use Catwoman, Nightwing, Red Hood or Azrael in free roam

That's one of the things I love about how Rocksteady has done the series. So many small details that add to the world.
Seeing the prison fill up, labelled by gang, being able to talk to some of the supervillans, before and after the revelation of Bruce Wayne, , all the people in the police station you can interact with, that one dude you can talk to who tries to intimate you so you slam his head against the bars.

Wasn't Terry in Beyond basically a clone of Bruce too or something like that?

I unironically sometimes listen to Adam West Batman's theme song when playing Bamham games
Also this, I was honestly kind of hoping this would be a thing when they introduced this suit

>DC game where you don't play as a hero
>instead you're just some random dude

I would actually play this if they found a way to make you not completely useless.

fun fact this game has a record for most recorded dialogue because they basically did all the lines twice depending on whether you had beaten the main story or not. there was two separate scripts for the game essentially.

yeah, casually grappling up to a tower and bam Joker is there

yeah but Beyond is it's own sort of elseworld. I'm talking about main canon New52/rebirth storyline

could use that mega link as well

I think Knight is my favourite Arkham game. There was something eerie about roaming these empty streets during storm when this track played. youtube.com/watch?v=wAJ3QpPK5Gs

Are those foot ridges on the bottom of her shoe sole?

If that's the case, I think I've found a new fetish.

I only liked playing as Quinn, Babs, and Red Hood anyway. The dlc for Knight was pure bullshit and thank fuck I didn't buy it else I would have felt ripped off.

>15-25 minutes to play as each character with only narration loosely connecting moments together
>Matter of Family was the only one trying to have narrative and it doesn't show the crippling

I loved playing that edgelord Red Hood and it was interesting to just shoot the fuckers.

I also thought of that but could never quite see how it would work in a game. A comic, sure. I'm certain there's one like that floating around. But in a game, not so much.
The story could be you trying to make by in Gotham, join Two-Face, see how terrifying he is. By luck you get away when Bats shows up so you join Penguin. Same happens, move to Ivy, etc, until you finally reach the clown himself. There you could see just how mad Gotham is. And then, Batman. Running through the city while catching glimpses of the bat flying by, hiding around the corner.

TAKE ME ON HOME TO THE ASYLUM

Sauce ? pls

Damn, gotta love Rocksteady's commitment.
The random thugs bad-mouthing Batman after the end are pretty good.

Who else accidentally got Nyssa killed here? I wasn't thinking Ra's would just kill her and I really don't care for her as a character in all honesty.
