Yeah but its not about being a fantastic game, its about being popular enough to sell, the influx of big FPS games during the 2000s meant that publishers just didn't have room for it. Most of the biggest IP's that defined that gen of videogames were FPS ones i.e Halo, COD, Gears of War. Its all about hype.

The aiming in this game is fucking terrible, at least on console. I played it a week ago and my fucking god, it's a joke to try and aim at anything with any kind of precision. The fact that there is no sensitivity slider makes no sense.

Loved this game but never got past the gulag level. I was like 12 at the time and sucked at games though, so that might have been the issue.
