/vp/'s serious fangame, sage, is set in a latin american inspired region (the start in the northwest is based on the andes mountains, the northeast has more temperate and tropical climates, the center has mexican esque plains and hills with a city inspired by the aztec captial, there's a desert to the southeast with north mexican/southwest US inspired towns, and the southwest is central american and amazonian jungles) with a lot of the pokedex also being central or south american wildlife or culturally based or from those mythologies.
