I think it would be pretty cool if the players was able to pick from different models. JP Velociraptor or feathered, JP Spinosaurus or the newer, aquatic reconstruction and so on.
But I'm 90% certain they're either not including this at all or it will be DLC.

it's a park sim game, they know if they showed that off normal people would not bother, they want people to see dinosaurs and the Jurassic world name and hope they don't look into it further

I think it's the lack of specular highlights? Everything looks matted and it leads to a lack of perceived depth. Kind of like those cheap unity games.

I'm not that impressed. It honestly looks like an upgraded version of the TOSHI engine. I hope they get further than what Operation Genesis did. Like breeding dinos, petting zoos and better buildings.

Also hope we dont have to rely on Mods to make the A.I. competent.

i think its 2 things, the color of the dinosaurs is dark and the environment is shadowy, i think they did the shadowy stuff to show up their environment shit or whatever and the colors i assume are just WIP. What does everyone think of the more recent Jurassic Park Arcade game?
I thought it was great, although the enemy health seemed really inconsistent.

So far it look like an they actually put love into the game. I hope the same love goes to gameplay too.
Also, I used to play the gba park builder and I always was shit at the game.

yeah i know what the engine is but that engine is terrible compared to what the trailer is showing. If you don't remember TOSHI for JPOG well basically everything in it looks pretty bad other than the dinosaurs which varied a lot but that basically managed to work out well because they hid the bad parts of the engine

I like park building sim and I'm looking forward to it but since they are going to the trouble of minutely modeling everything they could just give me the option to free roam the park too, the "guest experience" in a way. We can pretty much count on seeing every single dino from the movies at the very least, Frontier have been working with ILM and has access to all the originial movie 3D models.

Also being that it's kind of a spiritual successor to Genesis I'm sure we'll see all the dinos from that as well.

I mean, it's called Jurassic PARK. As long as it's possible for dinos to exploit weaknesses in your pens and escape to cause havoc, and they give you fun tools to deal with that, I'm sold.

I'm repulsed by people who are writing this off because it's not a "Jurassic Park survival FPS." The scale of Jurassic Park for me really only works with a park sim. An FPS would be so small scale and linear it'd get boring after one playthrough.
I just hope they add a huge Dino roster to keep my interested, the fact that only movie dinos were in the trailer worries me a tad.

But it is horribly optimized and will run like shit even on a beast machine if you get a mega park going with thousands of guests. I've seen streamers with enthusiast rigs get frame drops.
