Stalker, Dead Space 2, Factorio
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition in VR. Make sure you buy a PlayStation 4 Pro with PlayStation VR for the absolute best experience.
Crusader Kings 2
Well said.
Stalker, Pathologic, the Talos Principle
half-life 1, portal 2, super mario galaxy, fallout 2, far cry 2
Breath of the Wild, Half Life, Super Mario Sunshine
Can someone tell me about Stalker? I see it mentioned all the time around here but I know nothing about it.
Far Cry 2, Dead Space
STALKER, Alien Isolation
Thief: The Dark Project. I have not played any game that comes even close to the degree of immersion that game provides. Even Thief 2 doesn't qualify.
Morrowind
Gothic 2
wiz 8
Surf maps in any source game.
I consistently find myself moving my head as if to dodge the stuff on the screen.
wait what part of the game was this in
STALKER is a daily russian life simulator. /vg/ always have a general on it
it's a post apocalyptic shooter based in/around pripyat. you explore the zone in search of loot all the while fighting factions, bandits, wild mutants, and anomalies. it's a great game plagued by bugs.
Early 2000 aesthetics were amazing, i seldom play Warcraft 3 and it still looks pleasing
this dude has a good review of it

M&B: Warband Demo
listening to the soundtrack and riding on a horse into a populated town felt comfy
Bannerlord never ever
;_;
This is actually a great answer. Not the type of game that would have come to my mind in this conversation but it's immersive as fuck.
I couldn't get into Warband and I don't know why. The friends of mine who loved it generally have tastes similar to my own, and likewise many of the people on Sup Forums who praise it also seem to share some of my favorite games. But I just felt kind of lost and directionless in Warband. Nothing hooked me in.

Is it all shooter or is it a one of those shooter/RPG hybrids?
Immersive is just a buzzword
It's much closer to a shooter than an RPG. Fair warning: shooting mechanics kind of suck, though.
Some people say it has RPG elements but it's mostly just suits and guns having different stats and some character stats like vulnerability to certain environmental effects, bullets, or mutant attacks can be slightly changed with equipping items. There's no leveling or experience points or anything like that.
sven co-op server when
Buzzword is just a buzzword. Like how meme is just a meme.
The Witcher 1.
Alien vs Predator 1 and 2.
What mod is that?
That's just Clear Sky.
Its like your typical jrpg where you always get the weak weapons early game but eventually the good ones will show up later.
Any of the Elder Scrolls games or Fallout games with a fuck ton of mods. Also The Witcher games, and the STALKER series. Euro Truck Simulator 2 is also bretty gud.
...
moar pls. I love webms of this game.
>muh mods
Why do people do this?
if you love them so much why don't you marry them?

I would if I could faggot
Here you go

Thief 1/2
Had it not been for its linear story, Metro 2033/Redux. STALKER's king tho. Also Marauder.
F.E.A.R. That game is immersive and atmospheric as fuck. So comfy in fact that when I finished it I had to get the expansion and play the second game. Doesn’t happen too often but I still think about it a lot.
Subnautica.
Honestly, I'd hold Metro that high BECAUSE of the linear story. It was so immersive you didn't realize you were on tracks, and it felt like the setpieces were something you did.
Haven't played it in a while so maybe they did fix it but they need to change the way their draw distance works and improve the game's performance.
What does Immersive even mean that isn't engrossing or similar words
"Engrossing" implies you're merely a viewer of what's going on after getting sucked in; "Immersive" implies you're doing shit in it.
STALKER is not post-apocalyptic
blown the FUCK out
how will user ever recover?
No argument.
destroyed
>muh muh
Why do people do this?
it's short for "my"
now with more immersive quest markers on the HUD
> lines of text are immersive
Video games are a visual medium, immersion comes from graphics, art style and sound. Spreadsheets can be immersive only for completely sick autists, telling you this as an oldschool rpg player.
It basically is. Presumably there are parts of the world that aren't completely fucked, but you never go to them.
Deus Ex
The Zone is the only part of the world that is fucked. The entire rest of the world is normal outside of artifacts being used outside the Zone. That isn't post apocalyptic because something affecting only a small part of one country isn't an apocalypse.
>Presumably there are parts of the world that aren't completely fucked
Yes, those parts are called the rest of the world
One of the endings to SoC has the zone literally destroy the rest of the world.
I may be a sick autist. I dunno. But it's not the spreadsheets that make me feel immersed, it's the general atmosphere. I roleplay the shit out of CK2 though. If I didn't, it wouldn't be immersive.
The endings of SoC only affect Strelok.
No they did not
He never went up the chain
Hl2, Portal, Skyrim, old WoW
